  1. Why would you post a link to nothing more than a personal opinions left wing blog? We know your opinion and it's respected but tagging on someone else's who has the same thoughts is supposed to do what exactly?
  2. Blimey, all you do is moan, moan, moan. Give it a break. You might enjoy it.
  3. Many countries are close to a vaccine breakthrough including the UK. But then you have to move on to clinical trials, production and roll out... That will take many months, years in normal times.
  4. This chart suggests the govt is doing a whole lot more than those with childish jibes that they are not. These are facts. Look at Italy.. what a laugh. Even the US is only committing to 5% of GDP at present. My faith remains in a govt who leans on a world renowned medical team and industry.
  5. Probably something to do with the fact that the entire country is already on lock down.
  6. I do too. I also find political point scoring, especially earlier in this thread, a bit silly to put it mildly. This kind of confusion is inevitable in a crisis this big and fast-moving. But it does also make the government's job much harder as it is easy for those who - for whatever reason - are mostly interested in scoring points to accuse ministers of U-turning and not being in full control. The truth is that it is impossible to be in control of a virus that scientists are still trying to fully understand, but the task for the government is to appear as responsive and sensible as possible - and to get that heard over the clamour.
  7. The death of betting may be one of the few good things to come out of this postponement. Alas, it is wishful thinking with the cash they have.
  8. I think it's of great benefit to Rovers actually. They will be eligible for a £3k grant from the govt like all small businesses. It should shore up their balance sheet for at least a month.
  9. Silvio, you said this... Because we failed to take early preventative steps, COVID is here and likely in far wider numbers than reported (CSO). Working on the basis of current estimate of one person infecting three others, this now cannot be controlled fully - by the time symptoms emerge, you’ve already infected others reducing the benefits of isolation. with respect, very naive to think any measures would have stopped this virus entering our shores. I think people should listen and act upon the scientists and medical officers on the best practice. The problem with mass cancellations now, against best previous govt advise, is that you enter quarantining far too early. I think everyone should accept the experts here and not pander to overseas moves all of which have not stemmed anything. We may also see a false dawn with China.
  10. Corona still going strong in Germany? Excellent. Will be off there soon then. Fabulous.
  11. Northern Ireland. Michael O Neil will find his commute to both jobs considerably easier.
  12. Pops.. JC presumably is John Coates son of Peter? Who is Tony S ? I think Coates is being extremely disingenuous. Rules are rules and it is absolutely bang on if a club, seeing another break those rules, reports the malfeasance.
  13. I could not delete this one so will just say 'Hi Sturny, howz it going today?' Thems were the days. I assume Corona is long since gone as a brand? If not then sadly it soon will be although I would be out in a flash buying it. But that's just me.
  14. 46 new cases of Covid 19 in China on Sunday.. falling rapidly and lower even than the UK. Good news. As you were.
  15. Not according to that press conference. It set the right tone in my opinion and essentially said gatherings are really not an issue. They made the same argument I made about Italy doing blanket bans on stuff but with little effect. Go and enjoy the concert I say, but a lingering cough is something that needs sorting. Try Spirulina and Chlorella... Stops me getting colds and hugely boosts your immune system.
  16. If you are healthy you are not going to die. A blanket quarantine is not the way to go here. We can agree on one thing only today it seems; our blind love... ...for Bristol City.
  17. That is truly shocking form. What is more shocking perhaps is that two clubs are worse than that. How can any manager get so much so wrong so consistently? Mind boggling really. You would think it would be easier to actually win a few just by the law of averages.
  18. Thank you very much indeeeeed. ! I think that's how Piers Morgan says it. ??
  19. Anecdotal remarks do not prove anything. Surely you are smart enough to take such remarks with a pinch of salt. I read that the current Mayor is obstinate, dogmatic and has his hand significantly in the till. Do I believe it? Of course not. I take it with a huge pinch of salt. And btw, home working? How ironic you raise that when the govt is encouraging just the same. Perhaps Boris has been fond of it for decades and perhaps it had passed your attention that he lives and works at number 10 so unless you have a spy I put it to you that you know little to nothing about how many hours he puts in on a daily basis. Probably a darn site more than both you and me.
  20. Perhaps so but the fact remains Italy reacted rather late in this regard. That of course does not mean I agree with their quarantining. At the end of the day we have two choices here... We let it run its course by as many common sense measures as possible or we shut down the world the latter of which seems to be China and Italy's approach. Not saying either is right or wrong for any given country. What we do know is that this is not the bubonic plague and since it is not a sensible measured response is better and will be proved so in my opinion. For people to come on here and purport to know more than the govt and to throw silly politicised remarks around like half a working week is rather churlish.
  21. Wow... You must be an extraordinarily important person. You must be Dominic Cummings.
