  1. That is correct. Imagine it happening at any other club in the league. The manager forcing fans to subscribe to his personal Twitter to get club news. Basically, it shows that Wally is totally enamoured by Barton and he can do what he wants, when he wants. He’ll never be sacked and he’ll never leave - firstly because he’s not good enough to be wanted elsewhere and secondly because he’d never get the power he’s been given there at any other club. The nice man with a watch is totally starstruck, and can’t see through the bullshit. So, the “people’s club” of Bristol is fully in the hands of a convicted felon and his friends, who have no experience of running a large organisation. The collapse is just beginning.
  2. Chris Bart-Williams has also just passed. Only 49. RIP.
  3. On the points issue, I’m showing with 110 points - that would be consistent with the amount I spent in the shop the other day where I scanned my digital season ticket - so at least that works! It seems ST points haven’t, however, been added on yet
  4. Today, it’s literally the main story on the site ?
  5. I think Leeson plays right back but has a stutter so that may explain
  6. Yep. They beat Swansea last night at the Kassam so have a largely second string side full of dross. I know this because Billy Bodin is playing.
  7. That’s good, I’d heard their TVs weren’t working,
  8. The thing that’s being missed here again is print deadlines. FFT started dropping on doorsteps on Monday. That means it probably had to have been finalised by a couple of weeks prior, so say end of June. That then skips (using us as an example) the signing of Knight and anything that may happen with Scott. For Cardiff, it skips five signings. Leeds - skips loads of sales. The shapes of the squads when the previews by fans came in (early June) which may inform the preview are markedly different from what starts the season. I get they need to get the preview out in Julys issue. But in view of the above you’re just as well urinating in the wind.
  9. It’s strange that the poster here taking about Deli Alli and needing support in mental health took the opposite view on the politics forum last week. Just saying. As for the prospect of the deal itself and us, fanciful at best. Even if it is a rehabilitation exercise, Everton would still have commercial considerations and want an amount of wage contribution not consistent with what we would pay. Nige also won’t take a loan player unless it’s right - Dele (even if he can get to prior levels) isn’t guaranteed to get us to the top six and I’m not sure being in unfamiliar surroundings is best for him. It’s a nonsense suggestion on every front.
  10. Touchy Hutchy and Seedy Steve?!? Reminds me of the Adam Ant song. In all seriousness that’s bonkers. Driving on the pitch and doing donuts in a hearse indicates they’re either disturbed, idiots or have a very serious grievance they’re trying to bring to attention.
  11. I also went in Tesco and looked for the steaks but they were on the top shelf and cost a lot of money I left as the steaks were too high
  12. Also played for Yate Vs Chippenham IIRC. Looked good last night - the interesting angle is that Yate signed Paultons POTY Aaron Sainsbury in the summer - he also coaches at City and was warming up last night so looks fit. Be odd for Yate to loan Duncan as well.
  13. Yeah I thought Kadji was ok but not great. As a team though the pace and movement played with was very impressive
  14. 1-0 City Billy Phillips per Teamsheet
  15. HT 0-0. City look sharp, Ewan Clark pick of the side for me, great feet out wide. Morrison should have scored from close range - Yate have hit underside of the bar from long range.
  16. I’ll be heading down to Lodge Road early tonight - my youth football team are the mascots for the game. Hopefully that means I can get team news here early doors and will update as the game progresses.
  17. It’s not like the correct spelling is emblazoned across the biggest part of our ground either!
  18. Can I just point out the first away game is Millwall and therefore we won’t be wearing a blue away kit in any event. As you were.
  19. Logistically, as we don’t ask when selling tickets if someone is in the armed forces (and I can’t see us amending our websites to do so), then I’m guessing that anyone buying an AF ticket has to self declare on purchase and turn up at the den with forces ID? (Not forces myself but just interested in logistics here - guessing there is a set criteria/acceptable ID underpinning?)
  20. Good luck to him. It’s a great illustration of our current approach - we aren’t going to “rack and stack” players and Nige has been consistent that he expects players of JLs age to be around the first team at his age if he’s going to make it here. We aren’t keeping him around on the off chance and players pushing strong behind him means we need to move him on. Sensible stuff from all parties.
