  1. Triple Point brew fantastic beer. Well worth a visit and will cushion any disappointment we might experience on the pitch. Rutland Arms is one of the best urban pubs anywhere. Not to missed. Both I’m sure will be friendly.
  2. Last 13 v Man Utd we’ve won 6, drawn 3 and lost 4. They must dread us getting promoted.
  3. Definitely- much better goals/games ratio!
  4. A few years ago my son and myself based ourselves in Düsseldorf for a long weekend. We saw Fortuna, Cologne and Bayer Leverkusen but there are others within a 30 minute train ride including Schalke, Dortmund, Borussia Monchengladbach, Bochum and Duisburg. National football museum in Dortmund is excellent and there’s lots more non-football stuff to see. Public transport is cheap and reliable. Anywhere in Germany would be good atm as you can buy a rail pass allowing you the go anywhere in the country for a month for only 49euros. Lisbon would be my other recommendation- great city and two great football stadiums.
  5. Tbf, they have just secured planning permission for a new £17.5k capacity ground and I shudder a little at your final remark given that so many on here said the same when we signed Naismith! But Chairman’s remarks out of order.
  6. Bristol Beer Factory Tap Room - often away fans and friendly. Ditto the Old Bookshop on North Street.
  7. You’ve lined up some good pubs there. If travelling by train also try the Little Martha Brewing Co behind Temple Meads.
  8. A gem. Good beer, friendly and the best pub interior you’ll ever experience.
  9. For any reds looking for a good pub, get yourselves down to the Black Horse in the city centre - one of the best pubs in the country.
  10. They do seem unnecessarily bitter but some of the comments regarding us as a club - footballer’s graveyard, massive underachievers - are painfully close to the bone.
  11. Not sure about that - we were too 5 when we played them earlier in the season and don’t think we took more than about 600. It’s a good turnout- expensive day our ans a poor town. 12. All of that but no shortage of skill either. Better to watch than a Warnock team.
  13. Not a penalty imo. I thought ref was excellent. No cards I think - let the game flow.
  14. We all have our views about the owners but to use a word like “pox” to describe a family who has put so much money into the club we all love is rude and disrespectful. I spend a lot of time on OTIB checking out everybody’s views and enjoying feeling part of the “gang” but I wish some posters would take a breath before pressing the “submit reply” button.
  15. How is SL to blame for the utter failure of our defence (whoever is selected) to do the basics week in and week out? He brought in an experienced manager who was also a highly regarded defender to address this problem (which has been an issue since we were printed) and has been let down. Down to the management team and players - not the owner.
  16. Yes got them Monday- a week after buying online.
  17. Why do we assume that nobody can score from outside the box? We must do, as we never close down. I’ve remembered the answer - we never score from outside the area so we must think it’s against the rules.
  18. Stiff Little Fingers - Inflammable Material The Smiths - The Queen is Dead The Band of Holy Joy - Manic, Magic, Majestic REM - Automatic for the People Jeff Buckley - Grace.
  19. Gordon would’ve loved that. A real gent.
  20. Great advert for League One and both Devon clubs. Quality and passion on the pitch and on the terraces in “classic” football weather.Would like to think City have got their eye on a few players on both sides. Looks Plymouth’s game now but Exeter plenty to be proud of. You and me both!
