  1. Yes, because Stephen Kew was a real man of the people.
  2. Quite agree. Not vintage football, but both teams tried hard all game, showed some skilful flashes, had mistakes in them and left their shooting boots at home. In the end we won, but had we not, I would have been entertained. I have come to the conclusion another manager could get more from this group of players, but if we don't I will be happy with games like this.

    Ticket checking

Hi, Yet again there was a steward at the bottom of the steps leading into the Lower Lansdown asking to see tickets. I wasn't asked this week but have been in the past, although I have never shown it. This clearly annoys people and I again saw an argument between the steward and a fan who was obviously annoyed at being asked. I queried with the steward why he wanted to see the tickets he did not seem to know and said he had been told to see all the tickets. If, as it seems all he was doing was checking tickets, then what is the point? You cannot get into the concourse without having a ticket. Why does this happen? Why is it not done in a more customer friendly way?
  4. But you won't have been able to buy a ticket for this service to Reading.
  5. Quite! As Sheff Wed's FD I would be rubbing my hands at the opportunities to accelerate or decelerate income. However I suspect the numbers involved will be immaterial in the scale of things.
  6. It should be spread, but you could have some fun deciding how. But this is Sheff Wed's accounting principles we are talking about, so.........
  7. A bit of rewriting history there. We were promoted to the second tier in 1990 and 1998, both years in which we could, and should, have kicked on, but eventually found ourselves back in tier 3. Neither time was a Mr. Johnson responsible.
  8. One year parachute payment if you are immediately relegated.
  9. All we know is, we need the Stig.
  10. They are on back order. Due before next season starts, unless he takes XXXL.
  11. Some people say the problem is midfield, some say defence, some say attack, some say it's coaching.
