The criticism of Manning's interviews is so unfair according to some. They claim, that no matter what he says, he just can't win. hmm ......"just can't win"? Yeh, that sounds right: same for both on and off the pitch.

Southampton has been the straw that the drowning rats have been clutching in sheer desperation. But such a flimsy and inconsequential lifeline won’t stop them sinking further. One swallow does not make a summer. But in Tinnion’s parallel universe, it apparently does.

Anyone willing/able to rearrange and share the lyrics of "Go Now !" by the Moody Blues, (which, incidentally, sounds like a good alternative name for the Blue Few). A song to belt out at the Gate (against Leicester or thereafter) when it becomes even more blindingly obvious that Manning is a disaster. More me, the writing is already on the wall and it's too late. But for those few kindly souls still willing to give him a chance to work a miracle and turn things round, all I can say is, that if Manning pulls off the impossible, I will personally fork out the 50p for Tinnion to enjoy a night of unbridled passion with the hag fair maiden, Irene.

It’s all speculation about the “8 games to turn it round”. And even if this was the case, what does this actually mean in reality? Knowing our three numpties, they will not set Manning a specific points target, because that will leave them with no wriggle room. If he secures a measly 5 points from the last eight games, they will probably frame that into having turned things round and good enough reason to carry on with this shambolic project. Tough as it might seem to some, I’d set Manning a target of 15 points minimum from these remaining games, to make up for the appallingly low points haul he has already accrued. He should be judged on his entire tenure, and not solely on these last 8 games.
