Guernsey wanted Stevie G not so long ago, I'm sure he'd be happy with Frank - it's the same thing but with an 'O' Level!

And Guernsey likes golf and rank plays golf - it's a done deal!

He might not be that bad 😬

    Just out

If I'm not mistaken, the nominal board currently consists of Mark whateverhisnameis the COO, Gavin Marshall, and JL. I wonder if it's coincidental that Nige mentions he's had conversations with the first two since his recent comments, but not the latter.

So, my local side, Okehampton Argyle are the only tier six side left in the entire competition. Not bad since this is the first season they`ve been accepted into the FA Cup and they play in the local park. It should also mean they get to enter in future years too.

If they beat Highworth tomorrow and get drawn at home to one of the big (for that level - they could end up with someone like Tiverton, Dorchester or Merthyr) sides they`ll probably have to look at moving the tie to somewhere more suitable - God knows where though!

Probably repeating myself, but oh the memories of Simmons Park, the taste of Thunderbird, squidgy black in the "bus" shelters, snogging girls, happy happy days 🥰🤣

Steve Cotterill was given money he bought Kodjia for £2m and Ryan Fredericks and spent the rest of the summer chasing other Dwight Gayle, Jesse lingard, Harry Maguire and Andre Gray!
He had great backing but spent his time chasing some unrealistic targets.

They may have been ambitious targets but they were perfectly realistic for the right money, as evidenced by the facts that one or two of Gayle and Gray (terrible memory, others will know) had agreed to join us until the club tried to renegotiate the terms behind Cotts' back.

I wonder if he is beginning to regret his decision as it looks like he may be playing in front of 10,000 in the championship  next year instead of 20,000 here.

That thought may occur to him, but quick as a flash he'll remember his bank balance and be perfectly content with his decision after all thank you very much.

All in all, not too bad a start. Blighted yet again by major injuries.
An expensive signing McCrorie out ‘injured’ until new year with some nasty bug. Never seen him play, a £2.0m signing. Who knows what difference he will make.

Tommy out and missed, again huge benefit his return. Atkinson to return soon, as well as Zak….  All of a sudden with a change Lady Luck and injuries NP will have a match day squad headache who to leave out ? Nice to pick up something at Leeds.  After Saturday played 11..quarter of season as good as…

Pretty sure it was Nice Brest, guess you don't have social media

I made the claim on twitter earlier that we are the biggest club never to have played Premier League football.

To my mind, the size of a club is less about what it has won and more to do with the size of its fanbase and its whole infrastructure.

We regularly attract crowds of 20k+, we are capable of taking 45k to a JPT final against Walsall, we have a fantastic modern 27k stadium and first rate training facilities. All of which, I think, makes us the “biggest” club never to have played in the Premier League.

I’ve since had a debate with someone on twitter who thinks Preston, Notts County and Millwall are all bigger than us. Millwall is clearly a nonsense claim on any measure, but the argument for Preston and Notts County is on the basis of honours.

So, how do YOU define how “big” a club is? And do you agree with are the biggest not to play in the PL? And who are the contenders for that unwanted title?!

    Twitter debate here:

Agree with your reasoning. Historical honours were often gained so far back in time that the teams concerned hadn't even established their place in what would develop into a pecking order over the subsequent decades. Fanbase has to be the most logical definition, and by that measure, it's us, hands down.

  8. Class interviews from both of them. Has there been a time in recent history when so much of the fanbase has been so firmly behind the manager? We f*cking love this man and the job he's pulled off working miracles with his hands tied behind his back instilling everything we've been trying but failing to do since O'Driscoll and the 5 pillars days. No one begrudges him getting visibly emotional about the return to Leicester. And as for childhood Bristol City fan and inspiration and mentor to the academy kids Andy King, doesn't he speak from the NP rule book, let's hope that we end up as a successful period in his managerial career too. Surprisingly powerful stuff.

What a week ! new away kit launched then CEO goes and poor Nige on crutches. I’m sure somebody can make a conspiracy theory out of that. Any takers

SL and JL are staunch Nige-istas. The splat robin was Nige's innovation. When PA pushed out his own away kit design not featuring Nige's splat robin, there were fisticuffs between PA and Nige in which Nige sustained a twisted ankle. SL and JL, who had been looking for any excuse to get rid of PA as he seemed halfway competent, acted immediately.

    How's that?
