  1. Can we have ‘A Cider with Adam Baker’ so he can talk his time at city , his experiences doing the media side of things and why on earth he left?
  2. Anyone else finding the RobinsTV picture and sound are out of sync?
  3. 8am Sunday morning. Strange Instagram post by Fam. Clearly waiting to travel somewhere. Is he off to sign for someone? Going on holiday or on international duty?
  4. I see what you’re saying about just playing in lg1 but for the whole of last season, and the start of this one, he’s been a regular starter in cm for Wales, regularly playing 90mins and playing well - even against strong oppositions. This suggests he’s good enough for championship level. Whether he can get anywhere near our first team remains to be seen.
  5. Apart from having 67 players in his position. No weak links. Some will need to be moved on...
  6. Just a hunch. Yes, coming back from injury but will be interesting to see how involved he is for Wales as again no room for him on the bench today. Tins mentioned a few times about players still to come back and name checked Walsh and Williams twice. Strange that he didn’t mention JM once even though he always champions the young home grown players. Could be nothing but does he know something we don’t? Thoughts?
  7. Big decisions but I do think things are slowly becoming clearer. I think 2 out of Nagy, Palmer and Massengo will leave (permanently or loan) by the end of the window.
  8. I’d rather play Bakinson, Pato, Palmer and leave Weimann as a striker.
  9. All these players injured or on international duty. Surely Szmodics or Palmer need to start?
  10. I think it’s very good but not City specific in any way (If that’s what you’re after). They wouldn’t employ a dedicated reporter for us unless we got promoted.
  11. Just catching up with Sound of the City. Why does Geoff persist with the same contributors on the call in all the time? The debates on sound of the city aren’t great and I find much better quality, logical and reasoned debate on OSIB and BS3 talk. Should our local radio station be doing better on this front particularly when they get high level guests from the club? Just don’t think John from Kingswood (or whatever his name was) etc should be given the air time when he doesn’t have particularly well reasoned arguments and chatted a load of rubbish as well. Frustrating and a bi
  12. Love Korey but agree with others that there’s no room for sentiment and it’s time for him to move on. Next season we already have Nagy, Massengo, Walsh and Morrell in his position. They trump him now I’m afraid. The only thing you could argue we’re missing is experience.
  13. Still think they’re likely to leave it until the end of the week/ early next week once the season has finished and any other sackings have been made by other clubs.
  14. Only watched the 2nd half but he liked very assured. He’s going to have a quality career. Anyone who can’t see that is daft.
  15. Agreed about Cardiff game. Disagree that he should be sacked right now. Wouldn’t achieve anything. End of season review needed. I don’t for one minute think it will happen but if we scraped a victory against Cardiff (stranger things have happened),we’d only be 3 points behind them with our next three fixtures against struggling sides. Johnson’s on borrowed time but let’s not be stupid about it.
  16. Is it? Look how weak our central midfield is. Smith - likely to be released in a few weeks yet is currently the best we’ve got. Massengo - potential to be a great player but still super young and a lot to expect of him starting and influencing every game. Nagy - combo of injuries, home sickness means he hasn’t featured.
  17. Injured I believe whilst on loan at Sunderland. Club won’t announce retained/released list officially until season is over but 99% sure he’s going. Only got a couple of days left on his contract.
  18. Brownhill leaving was a big loss but we can’t bemoan the club for that. We WILL lose our best players as we’ve seen with Webster, Kelly, Reid, Bryan etc. My bigger frustration, as I’ve outlined above, is the players we didn’t have to sell. Keeping Pack would have helped bridge the gap when JB left and given us some essential experience throughout the season in the middle of the park.
  19. Should never have sold Pack. LJ and Ashton must have known there was a chance we’d lose Brownhill in Jan yet they sold Pack and replaced him with an unknown in championship football. Nagy has turned out to be homesick, inconsistent and half injured for most of the season. Our weakness in the middle of the park is the key to our failure to kick on this season. The fact that ODowda ended up there today says it all.
  20. Good stuff guys. Really enjoying all of these. Agreed that Fonts was a bit more guarded but he is still playing and I guess is still in media mode to a certain extent. Future guests: Jon Stead would be great. Tommy Doc?
  21. Thoughts? We’re on a bad run and have failings / shortcomings as a team (as do every team). But 6 games ago we were 4th - which was a sign of success. IMO you can’t sack your manager after 5 losses that is knee jerk, fickle, foolish, deluded etc. If you wanted Johnson out 6 games ago when we were fourth then there’s no hope for you. LJ needs backing in Jan and for the rest of the season then we’ll see where we’re at.
  22. Recently, there was a local news report along the lines of City/Rovers developing a closer relationship regarding loans etc. Today, Semenyo is linked as favourite to join them on loan. Sending a loan player down the road is appealing for obvious reasons but considering Rovers are pushing for the play-offs isn’t it a terrible commercial idea to help them out? In terms of attracting new fans/tourists in Bristol, don’t you want your rivals as far away from you as possible? Rovers in the championship (humongous if still!) wouldn’t be great for BCFC - would it?
  23. 1) Presumably it’s accepted by all parties that Keogh was, along with the other two, in breach of contract (not that any of us know his contract). 2) Can Derby legally punish employees differently who are all in breach of contract in the same way? Yes, then bye bye Keogh. No, then he has a case to appeal. 3) Regardless of the morality of this decision, football is big business. The other two lads have a chance to repair the damage they’ve caused by performing well on the pitch, bringing success and being saleable assets. Keogh, on the other hand, essentially has a self-inflicted inju
