  1. Can anyone see a scenario whereby JB signs and Dasilva also stays, or, Currie also signs? Or, as I suspect, would Bryan returning spell the end of our pursuit of Currie and also mean the contract offer to JD is removed from the table?
  2. Anyone got a link for a stream?
  3. People talking about him coming to play central midfield because LJ tried him out there a couple of times and because we have Pring. 1+1=3. He’s a left back/ left wing back/ left midfielder. End of. If he’s returning (and it’s a big if) it will be to come in and compete with Pring (replacing Dasilva). Can’t see us signing two left backs though. Soooo, are we back in for Currie or going for Bryan? It will be one or the other though.
  4. Happened to us back in the early 2000s at home to notts county. We were losing 1-0 which Paul Heffernan scored before it was abandoned. Can’t remember what the score was in the rematch though - anyone?
  5. Hi all, I’m having a clear out and wondered if any programme collectors were interested in a box of old matchday programmes from around 2002-04? Must be about 50+ in there…
  6. Seems to be quite a few in upper blocks of lansdown in the family areas. Everywhere else seems like just 1-2 left in each block.
  7. Easy for me too. Tickets seemed to go live just before 10. I had my single seat purchased in moments. Maybe it was trickier for those buying for multiple members in one transaction
  8. When does his contract run out? Summer 2024 or 2025?
  9. Still a no from me, even after a good performance today. He’s a technically gifted, very tidy footballer but has too many limitations for me to consider offering him a new deal, even at significantly reduced terms. - He’s not an attacking full-back that makes us better offensively (ie Joe Bryan), neither is he a proper solid defensive full-back (ie Bradley Orr). - he’s ridiculously one footed yet his left foot isn’t even that good when it comes to crossing/shooting. - he doesn’t score goals. - he’s very small for a defender so will always be targeted by the opposition in that regard. - Pring is developing well and offers us more versatility.
  10. Cup tied rule is massively outdated. Zero difference between a league or cup fixture - both are competitive. Transfer windows limit signings anyway so you can’t “just buy all the best players for the final” - as if anyone would do that anyway. It’s a complete irrelevance whether or not a player has played for another club in the first 4 rounds of the cup
  11. Good deal. Take it and run! There will always be fans that want more but they don’t really know the market like Gould et al. If we hadn’t sold in this window, I’d have been worried about it dragging on until the end of the summer window and having clubs hold us to ransom. We’ve been desperate for a big ‘sale’ for years. Thank god we’ve finally got one!
  12. This is so weird. They keep taking over each others office. Do you think they rearrange it each time and then put it back again a few months later when they get their job back? Whole thing is bonkers.
  13. I watch it on the sky sports app on my phone, can’t you access red button via a laptop/ tablet?
  14. I’ve said it previously but I appreciate the difficult circumstances NP has been working in and the work he’s partly done to reduce the wage bill (I say partly because largely this come from the ceo, right? NP has just had to work within those restrictions) and to promote youth such as Scott and Conway. But do you genuinely think he’s done/doing enough to convince you that he’s the right man to tactically lead and coach this group of players to maximise their potential? I can’t see he is. We also talk about culture change but there can’t be a great culture if he’s freezing out young hard working players (massengo) because they won’t sign new contracts and playing king at CB because Atkinson and Klose’s levels aren’t good enough (players he signed fairly recently). Interested to know what convinces you that he’s still the man for the job?
  15. Either’s fine by me as I’ve already made my mind up about NP. It’s going to take far more than 1 game to change my mind just as it took far more than 1 game for me to make my mind up in the first place. Pearson out!…but COYR! (I’m in no man’s land, aren’t I? ?)
  16. Ah, ffs - you had me going then! Expected better from you, Fevs!
  17. I respect the work Pearson has done to lower the wage bill in a big way, some of the attacking football we have played (at times!) under is tenure, and the emphasis he has placed on giving youth a chance. But, imo he hasn’t done enough to improve the players we have or make the current squad better individually and as a team. He has constantly reminded us of the lack of money available but the biggest part of his job is to coach and prepare the team tactically to win football matches. I don’t think this is his strength. I also find the public lambasting of his signings strange on a number of levels. Within our current financial restrictions I strongly feel we need a Head Coach/ Manager who can work with the group he’s given to maximise their potential. An older school manager is not the skill set we currently require. For that reason, I’m Pearson out.
  18. Do you think this partly explains Bentleys dropping from the team? If, like the massengo situation, Bents has made it clear he won’t re-sign (or won’t unless it’s a pay increase) then NP might have chosen to leave him out if he’s not ‘committed’ to the long term?

He didn’t “mark Keinan Davis out of the game.” Watford were rubbish that day. King did fine, in fairness, but wasn’t tested as a defender. Now he is being tested we’re seeing he’s not a centre back, astonishingly.
  20. I think fans make too much out of us being rubbish. We’re not bad luck, we’re just a normal football club with ups and downs. I bet every fan base feel the same about their clubs. We’re not ‘special’.

Absolute tosh. Atkinson hasn’t been that bad this season (we’ve actually seen some v good performances). Don’t care what’s happened in training but as my post above says, Pearson’s stubbornness is making us lose games. This trust chat is a load of nonsense. We’re not talking about who you trust to be a reliable person we’re talking about who you trust to defend effectively at centre half in the Championship. The fact that Pearson thinks King is a valid, sustained option there says it all. ”Look how bad my 2 centre half’s (that I signed) are - I’m going to have to play trustworthy Andy King there instead. That will work.”

Pearson loves talking about trust. He might be able to trust King as a person but he can’t trust him to defend a high ball, that much is evident. Don’t care what Atkinson/ Klose have done. Continually playing King at CB is suicide. Man has lost the plot. Pearson out.
