  1. What a sorry state of affairs this has become. I think all of us are simply fed up with the massive void between the club and supporters, which Steve Lansdown has unfortunately created. All we've ever wanted is for him to bring in the best people behind the scenes, which he clearly hasn't, he simply wouldn't employ his lad, in such a lofty role at his other company. As Jordan has stated, letters and e.mails have simply been ignored, when sent to raise concerns, showing a complete lack of respect to it's paying customers. I remember back in Terry Cooper's day, he would actually take the time to personally respond to any letters sent to him, imagine that today? Seems no one at the club is responsible for anything, and hide away, to it's shame. The very heart of this once thriving club has been ripped out, with good people who cared deeply for it, replaced by unaccountable and incompetent individuals. The thing is we all want our club back, and something to be proud of, instead of the laughing stock it has become, and only one man can do anything about it, so what's stopping him ? It really does make you wonder if something sinister is afoot?
  2. Ha,ha, I can remember that day. Came round the corner to be greeted by a load of Villa fans with a big flag with "VILLA KILLER" on it. Marvellous.
  3. The D.O.T.R. DVD has a problem only on the stereo version of the two recordings. If you play the Dolby 5.1 it's absolutely perfect, evidently most copies have the same problem. Mr Harris is said to be less than happy.... blame those bloody Danes again, as that's where it was pressed. Look out for a few shows this December in the U.K. I hear.......... Red Star Rebels ? Who's that ????? Tommy D.Coles Phillips . haha! I get Classic Rock too, and have heard some of them on the freebie cd, some good stuff to be sure. Went to see Larry Miller again last Saturday, he's 'kin excellent, and can sure play his banjo !
  4. Might go to Hyde Park to see Lemmy, but won't bother with Download, although I still think Metallica are good live. If you wait until Oct/Nov Maiden will be out on the prowl, on the back of the new album, they're just about to make a start on. Just got the new "Death On The Road" DVD,and I can honestly say in my humble opinion, it's the greatest Maiden one to date, bloody awesome.......but then I would wouldn't I ? Still awaiting AC/DC's long awaited return, as they're supposed to be releasing a new album this year, and expecting a tour. Of the newer bands, the best one I've seen live of late, Dragonforce, as they realy tear it loose live, bless 'em! Long live rock'n'roll !
  5. I think it's time we had a complete clear out at the entire club. Our board maybe do have the club at heart, but unfortunately are incompetent on the most important factor.Football. These days football is a fast turn over industry, and we were forever being told we need stability at the club. Well that has certainly been blown out the water, and don't be fobbed off by saying we nearly got promoted twice, and won the Auto Windrover, at the most pathetic excuse of a football match ever, that would have stunk on the Downs! We might as well of finished 5th from bottom, as the end result is still the same, more dire teams each week, and about as much excitment as sitting in a library! How the hell Steve Lansdown reckons we've improved, is beyond rational thinking? We need some outside influence injected into our club, and completely restructuring. Where's that Maguire(?) I loved his vision, after all it's only what we all dream about, isn't it? Perhaps he could get together with Scott Davidson, or some other big hitter, and give us a bit of hope. For me this board have had a good go, and unfortunately it's nowhere near good enough. We are FACTthe biggest underachieving club in the entire football league, based on our support. End of the day the buck stops with the caretakers of the club, they are responsible for the end product, which is woefully inept. Thank you, and goodbye.
