  1. And 2 dead pigeons in the water tank. Apart from all that we’re all happy as Larry
  2. Well if people really want to send a message to the club then this actually isn’t a bad idea. You could get some cheap white t-shirts, get the letters STB or the full “Sack the board” printed on the front and then sell them outside the ground, maybe priced a little over production costs so that you could donate profits to a charity at the same time. Would be so funny and also a real striking message to the club to see loads of fans wearing anti club t-shirts instead
  3. I’m looking forward to seeing the Iain Baird “Middle Finger” range.
  4. That was the Razer Ruddock range wasn’t it
  5. Need to be careful what you’re saying here as this is a forum after all. Just because some people disagree with an opinion (and let’s be really really really clear here pretty much all posts on here are opinions) doesn’t mean they are hijacking a thread. It’s called debate. Regardless of what people’s opinions of LM were when he took over till now I’ve seen very few if any people bar those identified with a BS connection happy with the way the board dealt with the situation or of there running of the football side in general. That’s my opinion
  6. I think the majority of Everton fans and other prem fans are wanting to see Man City and Chelsea punished as they see it as the premier league just using lower prem team as an example of them being able to manage themselves and not need an independent regulator. i dint see any major punishments coming Man City or Chelsea’s way as they are frequent premier league winners. Them being found guilty could lead to a collapse of the whole premier league
  7. Sad thing is though if you look back over those 40 years you will have most likely felt despondent at many times, div 4 times, Pulis era, Tinnion as manager, McInnes era, end of Johnson senior era, Johnson Junior losing streaks, Holden era and even some of Pearson’s era. Are you more despondent now than any of those times? Or have I just made you even more despondent about supporting City in general?
  8. I remember him being all step overs and little else. Signed when Johnson senior’s term was going sour
  9. Forest’s excuses are weak as rules are rules but you can understand the frustration for any team going up the prem and trying to stay up. Sheffield Utd and Burnley showing what tends to happen if you don’t try and compete financially. I’m an Everton fan as well as City so I’d obviously prefer them to go down over Everton, but I get why some fans would think Everton should go down. They pissed away a lot of money trying to chase the European dream buying lots of players after every manager sacking (A warning to us who have done similar but on a smaller scale and narrowly avoided breaking FFP ourselves). I could take Everton going down if it would help them reset and get there shit back in order but the big worry for Evertonians is that if they go down they will go into financial meltdown. Plus you don’t want to be in the Championship or league 1 for that matter with a 52,000 brand spanking new stadium
  10. They really won’t want to be finding Man City of being guilty as that brings the whole premier league management into question if the multi premier league champions are found to have been cheating and all the implications that would follow around that and Champions League etc. My guess is they will do there absolute most to not find them guilty of most of those charges and just give them a slap on the wrist
  11. Be very interesting to see what excuse they’d give from BT up if they did decide to pull the trigger in the next few weeks. The problem would then be with no likely changes happening to the football hierarchy. Who could they possibly recruit that would remotely placate the fans. The answer by the way is not Warnock. It needs BT(Feel a little sorry for him as he does love the club) and JL to step aside and for a proper experienced CEO and director of football. Chances of that happening?
  12. No chance is he being sacked anytime soon after them making such a big thing of getting rid of Nige and bringing in there self described super coach who can manage this top 6 squad. Would be far too much egg on JL and BT’s faces for them to sack Captain Mannering so soon. They’ll double down in the summer and pray to the footballing gods for a miracle turnaround.
  13. We are quite similar in a lot of ways in terms of spending money for very little return on terms of success
  14. Really good manager, would fail here though.
  15. Don’t worry if you’re likely to have croked it, by then the technology will be there to bring you all back to life as holograms so you’ll be able to take in the special occasion. Lucky you!
  16. So following on from the celebrating the 30 year anniversary of beating Liverpool in the FA cup I wonder what the club are already planning for the 30 year anniversary of us beating Southampton in 2054. - Special memorial kit made up of all Junior Lansdown’s doodles - Parading Harry Cornick at half time - Playing back some of Liam Manning’s press conferences on the big screens pre match to get the crowd going They must be full of these and other ideas right now. Roll on Saturday 14th Feb 2054 and book your tickets now!!!! PS. i know the game was actually on 13th February. The 14th Feb would be the next typical match day. That is if it isn’t an international break in which case it could be a later date. PPS. Yes, I did actually search for a 2054 calendar PPPS. No, I haven’t been drinking but I am going to bed
  17. That is very likely what the fans are going to have to stomach. I do feel for Manning as he is getting extra short shrift from a large amount of people on here I feel based more on anger at those above him. What doesn’t help him is his lack of any real personality that would appeal to fans. Even LJ had a little bit of the cheeky chappy about him. We lost most weeks under Benny back in the day but we still liked him.
