So another non-football person. Even with Tinnion i don't get that warm fluffy feeling that he's experienced enough to be recommending the next head coach being not a particularly successful or experienced head coach himself. Here's hoping that for all this whether through wisdom or through luck we get the right person to take us upwards

Totally agree with this. As JL interviews go i don't think it was that bad. He was never going to spill any beans on who we are looking to appoint next or when a new head coach will be in place. What does concern me though is what he said about the interview process and that it being basically him and Tinnion doing the interviewing. That worries me. A lot.

Been giving this some thought and the club seem to have tried all kinds of different coaching setups so i think the only one left to try is the junior football coaching model where one of the players parents steps up into the role. Thoughts?

I had the same problem. Had a blank screen with the word OK in the top right corner. Something is screwed. Don't know what payment software they are using but it feels cheap and nasty

Maybe if we just list all of the coaches out there that we couldn't bare to see taking the job it will make us all feel better when the new person is employed. That is if one of our worst nightmares doesn't come true.

Changing a manager when doing well is not necessarily a bad move if a better more successful and experienced of the level above happens to become available. Rooney isn't that though, managerial wise. Be interesting to see how he gets on without Rosenior as his number 2. As an aside i can imagine there are City fans looking on jealously at this move wishing we had an owner who did this kind of thing regardless of how daft it sounds

Before VAR though offsides were never this exact and there wasn't all the uproar on whether someone's big toe was ahead of the defender. The premise used to be if the player looked level then they were onside. Let the attacking team have the advantage so we get more chances on goal. All the precise rules and VAR delays are killing the entertainment and spectacle

Well, you could just use s common sense rule of the majority of the attacking player is ahead of the last defender. Would be a lot harder to question decisions than the current rule ...but if course "common sense" is banned in football. Everything has to be black or white.

The main reason for this VAR decision being wrong is the actual current offside rule. FIFA or whoever it is who sets the rules seems to have forgotten what the purpose of the offside rule is, which is to stop goal hanging. If the rule was changed so that if you can clearly see that the attacking player is ahead of the last defender then it's offside. Can't be possible to get it wrong then. This current rule of the attacking player's big toe nail is offside is just bonkers.
