  1. I think the club would be happy with a 17500 season ticket cap , of course should the unthinkable happen then the request for season tickets would be so , that seats just wouldn’t be available and it would be prioritised to season ticket holders hence the increased growth in holders BUT I’ve been told 17500 is the figure and by end of this season we MIGHT not be far off that , then it’s a bum fight !

How is any reduction in ticket sales “gone very well”? This is a football club. It’s not like buying tickets for something where there are multiple options that can impact sales. If numbers are down, it’s because people either aren’t happy or have been priced out of going. Neither is a good thing.

Long way to go of course. General sale might be booming and good luck to anyone wanting to invest. Just find that particular comment strange.

There is no reduction in ticket sales in fact it UP. 2000 on this time last year , for every person who doesn’t renew there’s a new fan in the wings

I’m sure the “over 8000” isn’t the final number for all the reasons you suggest.  Although a week ago you yourself said it was 12000.  But we’ll pretend you never posted that, eh? 🤣🤣🤣

Oh yes I did I was told it was estimated they’d be around that figure and so what

So, as of last week, over 8,000 STs sold

(FBC pod the source / Gavin Marshall)

After the seat movers are included it’ll be about 10000 before general sale then a steady trickle over the summer plus half season tickets at Christmas will see us close to 15000 of this season COYR

    You wouldn't, I would!

I'm fed up to the back teeth of being served up mediocre crap performances when the chips are down.

These last few games when there is no pressure and Mr boring has reverted to the previous managers way of playing proves nothing

For next season, yes I have given up

    Tat tah then

I assume you realise we have been doing exactly this for years?

Have a look at the sales for the Leicester game where extra sections (not just corporate) became available

    Do they want to move?

Where are those extra supporters coming from?

Why would we have been doing it for years our crowds have never been near to sell outs before ?

I don't want to appear to be negative here, but like previously mentioned you are only counting the tickets currently available for sale

As the Leicester fixture demonstrated there are hundreds more tickets that could be released if demand dictated and if sales are that high we'll see being released shortly.

You mention kids for £1, we're already doing that offer that day

The other point if an area of the Atyeo is sold cheaper, we'd have to not only offer the same price to Rotherham but also we'd have to match it in the South Stand

On a completely different note, it's interesting to see demand as high as this for a complete dead rubber of a game and also that so many people consistently say "Manning ball" is so boring etc

The only tickets available other than on our site are the complimentary tickets that don’t get taken up at last minute and restricted views , Bristol City do not hold batches of tickets back WHY WOULD THEY

But as we do with every game we haven't released all tickets yet

Also the number you quoted is about normal so no massive demand

About 850 city match tickets left for this game PLUS one empty away end

One question around this and the suggestions around the away fans being given a section of the Lansdown, how do we segregate the away fans from the home fans obviously there's a massive concourse that goes round the whole of the Lansdown to the dolman ? (Sorry if its been missed )

Just push the away fans into top left corner of away end looking at it and allow kids in from dolman end of ground ( right ) and a bit of netting around Rotherham fans -not hard

Tbf it’s not a bad idea, but I’d go further. I realise the club aren’t looking to make money on the £1 tickets - moreso on the adult tickets - but the thing here has to be bums on seats, and try and hook kids for the future. Go out to all the local clubs in the Hanham Minor League and offer them, say, 25 free tickets. Put them in half the Atyeo. Get the bums on seats, get the merchandise sold, get the money from the concessions. Be imaginative. Rotherham aren’t selling it out so you can use the space at limited costs and maybe snare a load of future fans and income.

I totally agree Rotherham WONT bring more than a coach full so fill it with fans of the future , give free batches of tickets to all schools and boy’s football clubs , I’m sure you could print 3000 kid’s tickets and distribute them before last home game

Winning five in a row won’t be enough to reach the pray-offs but it will mean that the entire club, fans included will be far more confident going into the next campaign and that’s before any summer business when we’ll see some additions to strengthen the squad.

And these will be players he wants not inherited

  12. These moaners , the anti manning mob need to take a look at Luton manager rob Edwards who was manager at FGR then went to Watford they SACKED him after 4 months he then made them look silly by taking a less fancied team to the PREM -LUTON TOWN

It's a great thought but i'm afraid if we won all our remaining games 4-0 there would still be many on here having a moan.

I really don't understand this, why would it mean nothing ?

It would probably mean nothing to a lot of the moaning brigade on here but this club will continue to grow in my opinion as you only need to see record attendances this season .families are attending football as an outdoor family activity and if these moaners don’t attend they won’t be missed, at the end of the day it’s about supporting your club win or lose .

  14. It would be great now if fans could come along to the gate in their thousands and support and enjoy the rest of season now the pressure is off , I’d also like to see the players enjoy it and play with a smile on their faces and interact with the fans more , come on let’s all enjoy it and get behind the lads

But we don’t? We fire managers so infrequently. And partly because of this we often (always ) back the wrong horses, who then land us with a load of players who are surplus to requirements. We’re a cushy club (Marley “training is too much like hard work” Watkins for example).

I don’t want to mention the lord god our saviour Nigel Pearson over the Easter weekend and all, but whatever you thought of him, he changed the culture of the club. We were no longer cushy Bristol City.

And now, with JL and BT looking after footballing matters, we’ll be cushy again.

Thus the cycle repeats under cyclical Steve. It’s all so predictable.

So you bring in someone else he wants his own entourage then he wants to change style of play and who’s to say he’s any better what we need is stability and marquee signings in the summer not 5 division 1 players but a striker 10 million at least and also a good keeper

doesn’t matter who runs these players their mid table at best pep would struggle to get a tune out of em

Who are the ‘dross’ players that Pearson signed that you are referring to?

We cannot keep hiring and firing managers. It’s time to consolidate and face up to facts that we are a Mid table championship side. It’s time to support the manager and the club and team and forget all about Pearson time. Will tell if the hierarchy have made the wrong decision come on you reds
