  1. Ok Ok, I have just read the other thread!
  2. Did I imagine it, or did I see Lee Johnson at the game. I really thought that the cameras, in one of their brief "people watching" shots, showed Lee. But as no one else seems to have picked this up, I may be mistaken..
  3. I get to a few more home games (maybe 4) but otherwise this is exactly my situation, and I suspect, a lot of others. I was actually thinking of cancelling my Sky sports subscription, until the Red Button came along...
  4. Does the current Austrian team have a wealth of forward players, keeping Wiemann from getting a call up? A little surprising..
  5. I would drop Kent. Otherwise ok.
  6. Twice. Once as a kid in the late '70s at Eastville. My parents had some Swedish Friends who used to stay with us over Christmas. We would normally take them to see top flight Bristol City FC (as you all know, Swedes love their football), but this particular Christmas City were away. Gas versus Newcastle. I remember Peter Withe playing for the Toon. That's how long ago it was. Second occasion, when home from University I saw an FA cup 1st round match at Twerton Park with my brother. Here is my shocking secret - he is a gashead (My dad was City, I am City, don't ask me how it happened, just an embarrassing family story)
  7. It's like those "alternative history" novels, if the Nazis had invaded Britain. A dark alternative history of a blue dominated Bristol. Too chilling to think about..
  8. My thoughts exactly. I was at the game and thought Woodrow was very poor, and should now be allowed to return to Fulham. My Fulham supporting mate also doesn't rate him BTW. Gustav, on the other hand, it was hard to judge too much from his late cameo, but was definitely better than Woodrow, and given a bit of game time, might sharpen up. At least as a squad player.
  9. Bristol City Dos, Manchester United Uno!!!!
  10. I was too young to travel to the Coventry game, but if I had been there, I might have rated that first. Of all the others mentioned, last night, the atmosphere, the sheer joy of that last minute goal, plus the class of Bryan's goal, just standing in that stadium soaking up the atmosphere, realising that, finally, after 40 bloody years we are finally getting back to the big time...I can't think of another game to match it. Being there with my son added to the occasion.
  11. "I believe that they are not Red Indians anymore. Now Native Americans?" While attending a Rodeo in Wisconsin last year, the compare said that it is no longer politically correct to refer to (the audience) as "Red Necks". Henceforth they are to be called Nascar Americans!
