  1. Another one here with some great memories of the Wedlocks (and the Star, as was), best most of them stay buried, although I must admit after some nights in there, I don’t have total recollection It is a real shame that it was closed and demolished, with some thought, as others have said it could have come under the clubs ownership and been used for something, even it was a club shop and cafe (continental style, where you can get a beer would have been good). Plenty of space upstairs that could have been used.
  2. You really put the jinx on Pikachu didn’t you…..
  3. That’s made my Championship, the unlikeable Price given a lesson by Dolan.
  4. Parsnips are one of winters greatest gifts, roasted, beautiful roots.
  5. MvG looked pretty fired up and made short shrift of his opponent, could be a good end to this with a few on form.
  6. Apparently it’s 3 years since we’ve won three on the trot…… nice Christmas Present.
  7. Thats tragic, its sad when someone who has lived to an old age dies, but to lose someone at that age is devastating. Condolences to friends and family.
  8. Blackpool 3 - 1 Black Arabs Dark days…… but not for us, nice little Christmas pressie us winning, them losing, all is right with the world for a few days.
  9. Good to see RvB back and playing well.
  10. So Littler gets through another round, started on fire, dropped off, but still does enough, doubt he can afford many more drop offs like that and take out the seeds.
  11. The banal, repetitive and brain dead adverts on commercial radio. The repeated playing of See it, Say it, Sorted on trains and at stations. Christmas People eating crisps and rustling the packets on trains or planes, along with the tinny noise from their headphones, sets off my Misophonia. Another rant at the selfish Lycra clad cyclists, had a couple the other day, all the way across Claverham moor, two abreast absolutely no intention of letting me past.
  12. Has TomF come back and hacked your account……. He always had multiple rants about Mardle every world championship And on the subject of shit, that woman they have doing the post match interviews is cringeworthy. Sky have a long way to go to replace Dave Clark, he was a great presenter and interviewer.
  13. Being a pessimistic sod, I fear the season is over……
  14. I watched a live feed of it, some real moving moments, the eulogy from his sister especially. One of the memorable lines for me was the priest, who after the pogues performed said “I think I’ve died and gone to heaven”.
  15. Not sure who was drunker that night, Shane or me, but what a gig. There are a few FB Pogues and Shane groups and there are some fantastic stories being told on them, people sharing their memories. What a life, what a talent, sadly missed.
  16. Maybe some owners are wary of the out going Manager influencing who steps into their shoes after Ferguson / Moyes, as that didn’t end well.
  17. I would think the ultimate Manager to present post match interviews for the sags, would be Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf, their very own Comical Ali.
  18. I’ve always been mostly supportive of SL, well, not some of his appointments, but a few years back he seemed genuinely interested in the club, I wonder if it feels more like a burden than a pleasure now, if so maybe it’s time to move on, but I hope if he does sell up, due diligence and a proper fit and proper person check is completed, so we don’t end up with some asset stripping charlatan.
  19. Along with some of the other Man U team of that era, he was a footballing hero in my youth, so distinctive by his style and the hair ‘flap’, 86 not a bad innings, RIP
  20. A Saturday afternoon with a City win is a good Saturday, but the Gas losing just rounds it off nicely, time to raise a glass or two to the results
  21. Any predictions, all out for 83 is mine………
  22. Finally, a mistake from Verstappen in qualifying (well, to be accurate, two mistakes) that’ll liven the race up as he tries to get in front. Looks like some of the other cars have copied Red Bulls design and with the upgrades they are looking closer in qualifying, wonder if they have got the long run race pace and tyre management right?
