Yes all these types of players were a joy to watch on their day but jacki was something else when Andy Cole states one of the best he's played with that should tell you how good he was .

Yes Jacki was a very talented player in his time

Shame that when he was at City it was not his time

7 Goals, a few tricks and no effort should not make a player a legend

I have never understood why so many consider Jackl to be some kind of legend.

No doubt he about his skills but he was a lazy bugger who scored a massive 7 goals for City. Osman left him out one game and announced that ‘a few tricks and a 30yrd shot isn’t enough’

A maverick carried by the rest of the team.

Yeah that is 100% how I see him

Home to the mighty Carlisle next Saturday. Any crowd predictions? Sub 6k with about twenty from Cumbria?

Why would Carlisle only bring around 20

When their fan have a great opportunity to visit the world famous Memorial Ground!!!

and watch their team play against the Blue and white quarters What a honour for them

Some would say that Moyes contributed to the mess, remind me who he brought into Man U?

Go and look at the last 20 players SAF signed and tell me how many were any good or value for money

Yea Man Utd job was too big for him, he is better at taking a lower premiership team and turning them into top 10 team

I dont think the Man Utd job was to big for him

Taking over from Sir Alex and the mess he left the squad was to much for him

Had he been backed like OGS has been he would have been fine

  6. I still see the Gas as our main rivals

    Followed by Swindon

Only time I ever seen Cardiff as a rival was in the Earnshaw years

This has to do with my age

I still think of the "Big" 6 in English football as

Liverpool Man Utd, Arsenal , Spurs Everton and Villa

No chance will AJ win on points

He KOs Usyk or gets out boxed

That is unless the judges have been paid off But that only happens in the USA not the UK!!!!!!

The last few Ryder Cups have been totally underwhelming, easily won by the home team.

Americans hold it on long courses for their big hitters and Europe on tighter more skilful courses.

It's gonna rapidly lose its relevance unless an away team wins soon

Sounds a bit like Test Cricket

Anyone else wanting Usyk to win tonight? Can’t stand the media trained bollocks AJ constantly comes out with!

The only reason I would want AJ to win would be to set up the Fury fight and get smashed that way, but there is the obvious Wilder risk with that.

Either way I hope Whyte finally gets his long overdue title shot next year!

    Yeah me

    Hahahahah

Everyone stick £50 on AJ Usyk to be a draw now

    It wont be a draw

No way will Usyk knock out AJ three times!!!!!!!

Thats the only way Usyk will get a draw in this fight

I understand what you're saying but Joshua is light years ahead of Bruno at his peak in both technique and resume imo. I'll always consider Frank a bit of a hero though- I was properly gutted when Bonecrusher Smith and Tim Witherspoon did him in!

As an aside I've just clocked your location- my god I had some incredible nights at Pawlett Manor back in my well spent youth!

    IT'S FIGHT DAY

Yeah that was about 100 yards from where i am

I've noticed we've worn white shorts in a couple of recent away matches when there was usually a need to change

You only need to change Shirt and socks if there is a clash

Yeah but he is just a meat head. Gets it right a few times but other than that hits it wildly. Bit of a knob IMHO

    Bit of a knob!!!

Wish i could be that nice about him

Fair enough, so do you not rate Joshua as a boxer at all then? Or do you just think Usyk is massively more skilled?

I think the improvements in AJ's boxing and mindset are very clearly evident in the last 5/6 fights- excepting the Ruiz loss when he chucked all of his tactical and physical advantages out of the window after getting nailed. His jab is noticeably more authoritative by the fight imo and his punch selection is improving too. He still admires his work far too much though, and it will really cost him one day for sure.

I'm with @Phileas Fogg , I properly love Usyk as a fighter and a character and would be 100% behind him against any other HW. Even if he produces the performance of his life though, I just can't see a realistic path to him winning this one. I'm intrigued to see if him and Loma Snr have an unexpected plan on Saturday night.

@Kid in the Riot, thanks for the heads up on the BBC Bunce and Chisora pod, very pertinent!

Just find AJ very manufactured A bit like Big Frank but better

I think they might be the worst.  Even worse than Indian cricket fans on social media.

Worst fans in sport par none

Got a bad feeling about this weekend

Think the yanks will do us

Don't agree mate, I think Joshua will win on points.

I can't see him catching Usyk cleanly or often enough to knock him out, but I also can't really see any way that Usyk can outpoint him on a Matchroom card with 70k there and given AJ's massively improved jab.

Or is this some sort of meta anti Matchroom jibe that I'm almost missing?!

    No anti Matchroom stuff
