  1. Agreed. GT always seemed to have the fans views front and centre and would probe in situations like this. Hoskins is OK although a couple of weeks ago he said “we can’t criticise Steve Lansdown for all he’s done for the club” on Sound of the City. I thought then that any decent journalism was right out of the window.
  2. Good summary Fevs. This really isn’t sitting well with me; it feels like he’s putting our success and position at risk to reduce his inputs into the club. You could argue that’s up to him, even that he’s entitled to do so; but let’s stop any notion of him being some sort of super fan with the club in his heart. This is being looked at purely from a business perspective, and as we all know a football club is far more than just a business.
  3. We are really, really going to miss GT, no way he would have given him an easy ride.
  4. So that was the last time we played them. 10 years. Wow. There is a whole new generation of youngsters who have never seen us play them. As much as we hate the Gas that is a shame, it was Bristol derbies that got me hooked.
  5. Great write up! City fans heard from miles off: https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGJt5cAKW/
  6. Perhaps. But if Carlsberg did Saturday lunchtimes….
  7. Would love to see Yeboah come on and score the winner!

  9. I disagree, and likewise I’m amazed at your perspective but then that’s the point of the forum I guess!
  10. Bit of cash back for us then? Good move for him, maybe just me but I can’t say I’ve ever seen him as a Premier League quality player.
  11. 5 pages in an hour, must be some sort of OTIB record?! ?
  12. @headhunter there is enough material here for a FBC special?! ?
  13. I’ve said similar in jest, but this feels horribly familiar. I think there would be a significant backlash if that happened.
  14. That’s a good point actually; lots of pro NP singing on Saturday would send a message.
  15. I hope @Kid in the Riot is right but LJ would take it.
  16. Spot on. And to think some of us were joking about LJ coming back! I’ve now got anxiety issues of seeing a grinning SL with LJ one side of him and Holden the other with the headline “Unfinished Business”. ?
  17. Well, it’s not like we weren’t thinking it. NP made that crystal clear there where the issue is.
  18. And this is part of the issue people on this thread are leaning into. For all the positive things we’ve achieved off the pitch under SL’s reign, on the pitch we’ve been left behind by clubs of the same size or smaller. I mean fair play to the likes of Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth and even now Luton, but it doesn’t half grind…
  19. That play off final against them feels like the slidiest of sliding doors in our history! I wonder if Brighton fans ever think “where did it all go right?”!
  20. I’ve said a number of times that when people declare sweeping statements about our fans opinions that OTIB represents a very, very small monitory of views. Of all the City fans I know, whether they go or not, local or not, only two of them even know this forum exists. That said, in OTIB universe, making the statements about SL (myself included) we’ve seen this week would never have occurred a few years ago.
  21. I think it’s exactly this; but SL has been hoisted by his own petard here.
  22. Indeed, bit like Leeds in our division now. If they can get going and get back up they will be quite a force.
  23. Was about to say the same, touch of class from Tomas there. He will be remembered fondly going forward. I wonder who will replace him as our record signing?
  24. Add in Cole Skuse and he’d have all his prodigal son yes men in one team of nepotism. I say it jokingly clearly but the worry is it’s something you could easily see him doing.
