  1. Finger of blame should be directed at the Lansdowns. Womens team have brought in teriffic levels of support & revenue on non men's 1st team match days. All could be lost now.
  2. The true cost of not investing in the team that gets you to the pinnacle of their sport. I truely hope that lessons are learnt here.
  3. I think it is this ... players dropping like flies so this will be tough, but giving a good account of themselves. Had the best chances too, despite being a bit more direct than Man C 1 Duncan 2 James 3 Anderson - Subbed for 16 Bak 4 Hewlett (c) 5 Campbell-Slowey 6 Ali - Subbed by 14 Davies 7 Nelson 8 Meerholz 9 Yeboah 10 Phillips 11 Morrison - Subbed for 15 Filer
  4. Good to hear Nigel Pearson in a good mood, having a laugh & punditrying, very nicely. Shame we never experienced him in this looser, well humoured mood. He looks well!
  5. No personalilty, no fight, no imagination & no creativity. Just Liam's just a slide ruler man with lots of over-complicated graphs & charts. Get a real manager in. Could even bring Nigel back & and i'd be happier with an honest, losing performance!
  6. I really, never expected a genuine play-off challenge this season, but we seem to be hitting some form at the right time, with incoming reinforcements becoming available with 14 games to go. It would be a brilliant effort to sneek a play-off spot, but unlikely. Although, it's not impossible. Let's stay under the radar and work our way up, into a side that we want to be next season. So, win the next game and then let's see what happens.
  7. I'd look to temper all of your expectations ... the next appointment to the position of team coach, will most likely be very underwhelming.
  8. I Feel that Tommy Conway's play will bring more penalytybility into the play ... give it a couple months tho ...
  9. Bell is developing a left peg, worthy of his dad's. Got in several times to make well weighted crosses in from that flank. There really would be no disadvantage to having a two footed wide forward. It's all good!
  10. Going to Pompey? Just remember to Pack a Towler ... i'll get my coat
  11. Sykes was also able to protect the penalty spot by standing on it, as I suspect that it would have been 'accidently' vandalised by a Sunderland player.
  12. Was about to comment, that if you stop at the motorway services, you might see ex-canaries, Chris Martin & Timm Klose, supping a coffee and looking a bit lost & very sad for themselves, as they've no team to play for this weekend. But now, Chris has just got himself a job at QPR!
  13. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0dst5hf Starts at about 7mins 30secs
  14. I'd like to see a goal celebration where they shhh to the lips before passing an envelope under a pretend hotel door. Then a player opposite them splays out splays cash out of their palm all over the place.
  15. Looks like the Chateauroux kit/stadium, so it'll be Arnie Garita then. The 50k punt!
  16. Any idea why the OS would put this image above the Bournemouth report? Who is this? They've replaced it with a Rob Atkinson pic now.
  17. Same error here with Android - Bristol City FC application using the Robins TV page
  18. Pearson identified the midfield as a weakness early on and employed King & James to pick the quality up in midfield. They did it in the Prem way back. So why not the Championship? They are both missing now and we are back to the players we had in the Deano era. So now, Weimann & Massengo can run their arses off all day for all it's worth, but the quality, concentration, combativeness and composure in midfield is still missing. Brownhill, Pack & Smith had those attributes and have not been replaced.
  19. It's worse than that. It's been 613 days since fans witnessed a win in person at Ashton Gate. Derby County - Wednesday 12th February 2020.
  20. 577 days since we all watched a league win at Ashton Gate, in person? ... let's get that result on Wednesday!
  21. I want the season to start again, just like anyone else, i really do. But this bothers me. It took just 1 case to set this whole thing off. So ... just how many '1 cases' are out there right now to start this all off again? The most suscepible in society are still dying at a rate of say, 1 jumbo jet going down every day. Is that what it takes? A 'normal' is only reached when the most vulnerable of us have already been wiped out or locked away from society?
  22. I'd guess the plan at the moment is for teams to travel on the same morning for away matches. I would hope that for some leniency can be allowed for long distance fixtures like Middleboro. Perhaps teams can park RV's overnight at training grounds which are local to the match venues instead, the day before?
