  1. No, he didn’t. 10 points better off this time next season has us 7th, competing for top six?
  2. 10 points puts us right in the play off mix. Would you have preferred he said 15 or 20 or Top 2 so we can all chuck mid at him when we don’t achieve it?
  3. Totally, yes. He was on to talk about the Youth FA Cup win, Radio Bristol got him to do this at the same time
  4. More than 12. This doesn’t count Mansfield or Walsall at least from before 1990
  5. Been doing this on Twitter tonight. We’ve got to four… Forest was actually 2006 not 2004
  6. Red, red Twine Stay close to me Don't let me be alone He’s tearing apart Their blue blue heart
  7. FANS FORUM ANNOUNCED- tbf it was being planned well before the recent storm, but good to see it return anyway. Good step on better open Comms Could be some very interesting questions for JL, GM, BT…
  8. I never said they didn’t deserve criticism. I said they didn’t deserve personal abuse and, regardless of decisions we might criticise, they have still done a huge amount of good for the club
  9. Ahead of the new Liam Manning era, some personal thoughts on the events of the last couple of weeks at Bristol City...quite a lot has happened! All thoughts/replies welcome - thanks guys https://exiledrobin.blogspot.com/2023/11/ten-days-is-long-time-in-footballthe.html
  10. If you want to know FAR more about our new gaffer’s career to date than you’ve heard so far, check out Pete Hinton’s opening 7 mins of this One Stream in Bristol Space - the rest is well worth listening to too! https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/one-stream-in-bristol/id1296647791?i=1000634053858 The irony is (listen to it all!) that I’m sure if plenty of those fans who are crying “yes man”, “cheap option” & “unexciting” saw this guy with his record going into Preston or Millwall or QPR they’d probably be moaning that’s the sort of guy we never appoint
  11. All sounds there or thereabouts to me, Will. Would be very disappointed however if they’re getting rid mainly because he’s strong and tells Junior what he thinks of him (which has been suggested)
  12. Energy and workrate from Weimann is unquestionable and a strange thing to call out - especially when those coming off the bench didn’t show much. The bloke doesn’t stop - his ball ability, passing crossing etc definitely questionable at times but any manager would like him for the ground he covers. Any manager
  13. Yep, national programming from lunchtime onwards. Exceptions mooted but suspected at the time that would only be live events, not magazine shows like SOTC
  14. It already had been. Alese had seriously kicked the $#|¥ out of it, got booked and then led down in the penalty area wanting treatment. Sykes did a great job protecting it and chirping at the GK until he retreated to his goal line
  15. Disagree. Plenty of managers get backed like that by Board members and CEO just before they get sacked. Lansdown regularly reacts to heavily negative feelings around and there definitely was West Brom, far from a minority imo
  16. A month is a very long time in football, that’s for sure! Five weeks ago Pearson appeared to be hanging by a thread. The players battled hard for a draw at Millwall and haven’t looked back - we’ve not lost since, we’ve got Man City coming up, there’s optimism over a money-generating and saving, but positive transfer window. He said something like “I’m at my weakest position since joining {just above drop zone} but the club is at its strongest.” Are we seeing that already? Lower wage bill. Performances & results improvement despite injuries. More youngsters come through. Scott excellent & still here. For me, this is the result of 2 years of slowly building with a plan (on and off the pitch @Davefevs!) , slowly turning around changing room culture. It’s a bit like we were in a period of what was almost a holding position to allow the younguns time to develop & be ready. It won’t last forever, but we’re on a slight upward curve at last…
  17. He was ultimately responsible for driving that through and worked closely with the FPA, SC&T and others - anyone who’s worked with him or spoken with him in the last year or so is positive. His job isn’t to be showy and obvious, it’s to get things sorted and organised behind the scenes and he’s done that without doubt from everyone I’ve spoken to. ‘Tis a shame he’s moving on
  18. Had this from someone in DMs… I reckon to Voulez Vouz (ABBA) Cameron Pring Aha Running down the wing Aha Hear the city sing Aha He is city through and through
  19. It’s not their land and not them charging this fee
  20. Had a quiet end to the evening so mucked around with some words and ended up with this.. Very amateur songwriting inspiration..to the tune of Queen’s Crazy little thing called love Cam Pring, we love You just, can't handle him Cam Pring, we love When you, fly down the wing You’re like Messi ‘Mazing Cameron Pring we love The last line needs a bit of work but the rest seems half decent (to me!)
  21. Doesn’t seem like he did much football related there, more the hard commercial projects Unlike football fans to be cynical about areas they know little/nothing about ??
  22. We were held at the end of that street for a good 10 mins after the game last time whilst all their fans walked out and past. Trouble is then they just pile up near that garage forecourt and into the park that’s alongside our walk back towards town so it maybe seems like we’re out at the same time?
