  1. It was a privilege to be there today. Hopefully the turnout and the applause would have brought a moment's happiness to Busters family on a sad day for them.
  2. The problem is that some people may not have seen any income in the last 10 weeks and may need that money and money they paid out on season tickets already for next year . Some supporters may need that £100 a lot more than the club at the moment.
  3. Went to Madrid for the weekend to watch Real Madrid. Was just walking the back streets when we came across a bar so went in. When inside the bar had city scarfs and photos. Talking to the owner he had worked at Avonmouth docks and been transferred to Madrid and stayed to open the bar after the docks job had finished. This was at least 15 years ago so maybe gone now. I believe fate took us in that bar that day
  4. To extend this to other merchandise if I can the worst I have seen was a replica England shirt in Greece with the badge having two lions instead of three!
  5. Bulgaria v Germany world cup quarter final 1994 . Brilliant to see the Germans go one up and then get beat with two late goals and go out as holders
  6. RIP Buster. Fond memories of you coming and doing a talk at a Chippenham Referee's society meeting. Would not take any money for your travelling expenses and stayed and talked for hours. There was no white t shirt that night as you had taken the time to dress with a shirt and tie. I think you even bought me a drink. Thoughts are with your family and friends
  7. Really upset with this awful news. Rip Norman thoughts are with your family
  8. Jim Harvey Came from Hereford hardly played for us and then went to Tranmere very sucessfully
  9. This is the same player who referred to us as and I quote "my previous club" when interviewed about the Johnsons paint trophy semi final while playing for R****rs. After being luckily plucked from Paulton Rovers to go on and earn a decent living for 10 years I would suggest it is him that is the **** not City
  10. Can't understand the booing but also can't understand the clapping. No one would have been clapping him if he curled a shot in the top corner today. Clap him after the match if you want to but just treat him like any other opponent in the ninety minutes
  11. 1.Gerry Gow 2 Jacki 3 Super Bob 4 Scott Murray 5 Andy Cole And a special mention to Bobby Hutchinson
  12. Going to take a break. I have been a season ticket holder for over twenty years but just not enjoying it anymore. Renewed this season but shouldn't have done because if I am honest my heart hasn't been in it. Maybe come back in the future refreshed but it has been more of a chore to travel to Ashton Gate only to see the opposition take easy points .

    VAR

Did you see the Malaga game at the weekend @elhombrecito? Malaga had a perfectly good goal ruled out for a ghost push but this was backed up by VAR. Justice was done though as Malaga were awarded a penalty by VAR. Great win away at the top of the league
  14. I remember being in the park end for a match in the mid eighties when i saw the police come through with a suited Gentleman. The said Gentleman then served some kind of warrant in a brown envelope onto a unsuspecting City Fan. Not surprisingly the City fan was having none of it until plod intervened and server the notice for what we now know was a bailiff . I remember the city fan shouting and moaning that it was unacceptable to be serving a warrant while he was at football and the bailiff replied "we have trying to serve this on you for weeks and you have been one step ahead until today. We knew you would be on this terrace because you never miss a match" !!
  15. Leeds love us as we seem to gift them six points every season!
  16. I think that's the point. We could have gone 3rd yesterday. We could have got in to the play offs in the last couple of years. Unfortunately could never turns into we are or we did with Lee.
  17. Every time I have been to St Andrews the Birmingham City fans also do a good impression of a Library
  18. Strange we haven't seen him at Ashton Gate this season
  19. Wouldn't it be hilarious if he tweaked a muscle and couldn't play
  20. Thanks for the link I also did the survey. Great fun
  21. Try to get to three or four home games each season. Went to the Zaragoza game this season and the ground was a quarter full. Every one of their games home and away are live on you tube so have watched all this year which has been a horror show. Real chance they will be relegated this season to the third tier. Such a difference from a few seasons ago when they were squeezing 33k every home game in la liga.
  22. Malaga but sadly they relegated to segunda division
  23. Dennis Smith being our manager at the same time which lead to the classic song " There's only one Dennis in Bristol one Dennis in Bristol there's only one Dennis in Bristol"
