It was not only the football league I remember going to Wembley to watch England paying the money on turnstile and watching the match with the ground half full.

He will be playing for Cardiff. If we want to get to the promised land then we need to make Ashton Gate as unwelcoming and intimidating as possible and that includes ex players. If you want to stay behind and applaud them after the final whistle then that's your business.

If it has been mentioned by someone else my apologies but that referee is no other than our best friend Mr Andy Davies!

Sorry I forgot one that drives me mad.
People who wear Shorts in the freezing cold weather trying to prove they are hard!

When the press say someone is going to Jail. It's Prison in this country
When people say "Proof of the Pudding" drives me mad because it is "The proof of the Pudding is in the eating"
Macaroni cheese has become Mac and Cheese.
People who call the month February Febree drives me insane.
Swansea and Cardiff shirts in JD sports at Bristol Airport.
And Wayne Mardle!

Surprised no one has mentioned the 2nd May 1990 at Twerton.

This isn’t true though, is it?
She’s been an EFL referee since 2021, so she is clearly thought to be a good one & she’s got a Prem game.
I can’t see how her gender plays any part in this, other (male) referees are also being moved up this quickly.
The overall refereeing standard is really poor, if we can find better referees early that’s a very good thing.
Haven't seen any other referees gone from getting on the football league to the premier league in two seasons.
She has definitely been fast tracked.

My favourite season (partly due to age, being 18 is brilliant!).
It does though, in many ways encapsulate being a City fan for 40+ years that even in our best season we did find a way to kind of ruin it right at the end!
If we had played R####s when we were suposed to if remember correctly around Christmas time and not in the spring when Superbob was injured we would have won that division that year.
Saying that i work with a ex R####s player from that season and he is convinced that them beating Cardiff at Twerton when they were one nil down going in to stoppage time and they scored two goals in his words that he was amazed stood won them the league that year.

I wonder if the opinion on here would be the same if that goal was at Ashton Gate and it's Max as the keeper and it's in the 98th minute and the opponents are Cardiff !

Quoted £513 for my multi motorbike policy which was £150 more than last year. Knew it was coming so went on the insurers website prior to receiving the quote and put my details in as a new customer and was quoted £273 and got a quote reference number.
Phoned them and asked them why I was £250 more of a risk as a existing customer of 25 years than a new customer. They couldn't answer but still insisted that my £513 quote was correct. I stood my ground and paid £273 after a call lasting nearly an hour.

Get well soon Nigel. Your health is far more important than this football club.

I remember him spanking one in away at Shrewsbury when we won while trying to avoid the drop from L1 under Cotts (believe it was Cotts anyway).
Think I recall it because I was right behind it & it would have probably hit me if the net wasn’t there ️
That was the game in late March when we were dangerously close to the drop zone and Flint picked up a season ending injury but it sparked us into life. We didn't lose again that season and finished comfortably mid table.

It's quite simply he owns the club and runs it as he sees fit.
I find it odd that he has put the infrastructure in place for us to progress in that he has financed the stadium and the training ground but he doesn't seem to want the club to push on to the promised land.
For want of a better word I sussed him out quite a while ago and decided that after over forty years of support which thirty were as a season ticket holder I would not continue to watch the club anymore.
That's my choice just like it's Mr Lansdown choice on how he runs the club.

As I recall, one of your players played with a tag, didn't they? You also no doubt cheered on Steve Brooker and Dave Partridge.
David Pipe might have slipped YOUR memory.

Of course it can be frustrating - but how do you think the likes of Derby, Wigan, Ipswich, Portsmouth etc feel..?.
Everyone of the above named clubs have been to the promised land and one even won a trophy like the FA cup
