  1. It’s almost irrelevant what we get for him if we do sell, as LJ will probably spend whatever he gets on a useless 3rd tier French player with a sweat band on his wrist. On a serious note, my bigger concern with us losing players is that our scouting network and management have proven they do not have the ability to replace them.
  2. Controversial as it may be; I would expect the Dog Botherer to get better results with the resources and backing LJ has had than LJ has.
  3. Well it worked for Sunderland.
  4. If he wanted them, they’d never make the open market.
  5. Agree he was inconsistent, but in this incident the linesman on the Dolman side flagged late for the free kick to them. As soon as the ref saw the flag he stopped play.
  6. Yep - think it was around 2002 / 2003. Was a good old toe to toe on the Waterfront as City exited the Mardyke at the same time as Weds exited the Pumphouse. IIRC there’d was a bit of set to at the Avon Gorge Hotel earlier in the day.
  7. Regardless of his ability, fair play to the guy for having the intelligence to realise there is more to life than money in the bank.
  8. I’ve been to a lot of City games over the years, both Home and Away and I’ve never myself heard any single instance of racism by our fans. I’m not doubting it has happened, but based on the number of threads which pop up on here about the issue, taking the laws of ratio / proportion into account I would have thought I’d have come across it myself?
  9. Yes - once, but it was the famous day vs Mansfield. A subcontractor of ours is one of their main sponsors, and have a box (which at the Mem literally means cardboard box). As they had beaten Wycombe the week before and knowing I’m City, the smug owner of the company asked if I wanted to go to witness their survival first hand - so I took them up on the offer and had an absolute ball!
