  1. Funny thing planning policy in that it doesn’t vary from one district of a City to another, unless you’re in a conservation area. But let’s not let the facts get in the way of a good excuse though.
  2. There is a quite at the beginning of the “City Psychos” book by Shaun Tordoff which is something like “for those who know no explanation is necessary, for those who don’t no explanation is possible.” You either get it (normally based on experience) or you don’t. If you don’t, then you would perceive football hooligans as mindless thugs who tarnish the names of the clubs they support, which is an opinion you are entitled to. If you do get it, you can see “lads” for what they are and understand their reasons. I know a lot of the names and aliases mentioned in the book. A significant proportion of them are “salt of the earth” guys who would have the back of any BCFC supporter if needed.
  3. DC is throwing in the towel from that interview and wants out. If he was managing someone else I’d feel sorry for him, but he’s not so eff him. I think he wants out but is waiting to be sacked to get the payout.
  4. Keith Fear is my dad’s cousin. Not from school as I went to school in Glasgow, but at a younger age my missus at the time’s best mate was shacked up with Liam Rosenior so I had the misfortune of spending a lot of time in his presence. They are now married.
  5. An acquaintance of mine who is fairly well known in and amongst the Robers hierarchy is of the opinion the rubbish about reducing capacity is a smoke screen for them to justify closing stands and therefore reducing their running costs.
  6. Second this. Balls to their pathetic gyppo club and anyone associated with them.
  7. Agree with most of this, save for the fact I never feel sorry for anyone who is in any way associated with "them." They've been well and truly shafted by the Al Qaeda's, and the longer they stay in charge the worse it will get for them, and the longer it will take for them to recover. Unfortunately for their fans they were too stupid to see it coming, and believed their own hype. I don't want to see them go pop, because they do provide constant entertainment, I just want them to suffer, a lot.
  8. Agree with this - think DC is a level above LJ.
  9. Grounds for a village green application then?
  10. In fairness, it is definitely a step up from the one they stole from the rugby club.
  11. Has there been any news on their tweet appeal to help them win £100? That's got to be worth at least 2 pitches at the car boot?
  12. Sorry if I'm being a numpty but what in god's name is the checkatrade trophy? Sounds less appealing than the Downs League.
  13. That is pathetic - are they seriously that hard up that they need £100 from some shite competition? They'll be busking on Park Street next.
