@GrahamC you are confused at this but 6 weeks ago you didn’t mind who we kept out of Williams and James. Now you only want to keep Williams if we don’t keep James. Recency bias
Fans suffer from recency bias as well. There was a time recently where Williams played two good games in a row and there were numerous calls to sign him up. That was a while ago so now it’s let’s sign James. But if James had had two bad games in a row recently it would be let him go. We are all biased to recent events. Hopefully the club look at it over a longer term
I would assume James wants two years. The art of aging players is knowing when to walk away from them. I think James warrants one more year but I’d be nervous about the second year if he’s on £15k or more. I was worried about the Wells renewal for the same reason and I think it will prove to be one year too many for him.
Definitely McKenna for manager of the season. Hard to argue with that Whoscored team really. Would be splitting hairs…apart from Hladky. Wouldnt have him as the best keeper this season.
Scott finding it tough right now and in some poor form. No doubt he will come out of it stronger. Semenyo though is going from strength to strength. What a player he has turned into
There’s the lad on the bench who’s only 16 that Tinnion says is the next big thing. Apart from him the best for me from the bits I’ve watched are James, Campbell-Slowey, Phillips, Nelson, Meerholz and Morrison.
