  2. We did ride our luck at times and got very unlucky at times. Every fan will have biases either way. It’s human nature. People who want Manning out with naturally think we got lucky. Those who want him in will see it differently. Thankfully it’s only football!
  3. We were lucky and unlucky. Probably evened itself out.
  4. VAR will sort all mistakes though.
  5. Ah ignore this. It’s @Jo90
  6. What is their new log in? You are Detective Dave

I would like to see him moved on this summer but likelihood is he will still be here next season. Never really impacts anything and not even a good finisher. Need a better second striker than him if we want to get to the play offs
  8. Good pod. The only thing I massively disagree with is the need for VAR. watch the penalty decision in the Newcastle v West Ham game. VAR has been proven to be useless time and time again so why anyone would want it is beyond me
  9. I was being flippant. People say this squad isn’t good enough but then said Ipswich wouldn’t do anything this season with a bunch of league one players. My point is, a good coach can get players looking better than another coach. Pearson and Manning have produced mid table finishes with this squad but maybe more can be done with them.
  10. McKenna is the reason a bunch of league one players are the top of the league so it’s hard to forget him!
  11. Disagree but there you go
  12. Absolutely. Although the coach has a huge level of importance as well. Look at Ipswich. Man for man are they any better than us? Probably not. Certainly at the start of this season their players were labelled not good enough. But they are top of the league. Is this squad good enough for top six? Maybe, under the right manager. Neither Pearson nor Manning good enough to achieve what I appreciate is a very difficult job
  13. Absolutely. I think people have already forgotten how important Scott and Semenyo were
  14. The players were certainly up for it. As they were the last two times they’ve been on sky. Can manning get them up for it away from the cameras? I’m not Manning Out yet as may as well give him time. But a lot will depend on the next 15-20 games, taking us into next season
  15. Is there any proof he’s an employee and not just a wind up merchant ?
  16. If we got the penalties we deserved we’d have had a huge xG. You can’t just look at one lot of ‘what ifs’ and ignore the other. We didn’t get lucky. We were unlucky not to have had two penalties
  17. Compare today versus the Leicester away game. That game was ridiculous. Didn’t even try to attack until the last 20 mins
  18. Ipswich being top heading into April made me re-read this thread. Shows what an incredible job McKenna has done as they were written off by pretty much everyone

    Twine

He was as good off the ball as on it today
  20. If we’d got the penalties we deserved it wouldn’t have mattered. If you look at one ‘if’ you should look at them all
  21. Max, Dickie, Roberts, Pring, James, Twine, Knight and Mehmeti all very good. 8 out of the starting 11.
