  1. Massive respect to Crolla for still being in this fight.
  2. I have a strong feeling that the future for Rovers is still very bleak. There is something about this Wael guy that doesn't stack up - who in their right mind would take on a club considering he knew about all this shambles and the legal costs he would likely have to stump up? I have still not seen any evidence that he is actually a billionaire?!
  3. I don't think your new owner even has 100 million pounds? Admit it, your fans have had a shocker. There were countless posts on social media and forums from your fans claiming that you were now a super rich club. In reality, all evidence suggests that this guy is not that wealthy at all. Certainly not compared to Steve L.
  4. Agree. Thats what makes this so sinister. It seems like financial suicide unless they have a plan.
  5. More importantly, If £70m is true its very unlikely they will invest any of their own hard earned cash. They will take out loans which will shaft the club in the long run if it doesn't work out. The glaziers are essentially doing the same thing at man united.
  6. Oh dear. That is embarrassing. They really don't have any idea if this will turn out to be a good move and they are already gloating.
  7. Judging from his CV I doubt he is going to put up much of an effort to stand up for the fans to his boss though?!
  8. I can't believe how excited they all are. Similar take overs have been catastrophic for other clubs. The fact all of the current board have stepped down would concern me because there is no voice of reason if they do something canon and try and change the clubs name or colours etc... Add to that, nobody seems to know how much money they have and are willing to invest?! They could just take out loans in the clubs name and not invest their own cash = disaster. Interesting that Hicks didn't want to talk about how much money was involved etc?! Probably because if the fans knew then there would be carnage.
  9. And forgetting the fact that if they are only worth 70 million they probably don't want to spunk all their cash on a crap football club. My guess is they want to own a football club in England because it will make things easier for them to grow their business here. If I was a Rovers fan I would be very skeptical about this unless it turns out they have billions... (I am assuming they don't because they would of set their sights a bit higher than the horse punchers)
  10. If they are only worth £70m then that is hilarious.... That is pennies in the realm of football club owners.
  11. I always thought that every football club had an equal share of 'stupid' fans. But almost every post on the Rovers forum is utter dross, they don't seem to be capable of saying anything even remotely sensible. Makes some people on here look like bloody Einstein!
  12. Exactly, given the track record of their board is anyone surprised that it looks like they have massively cocked up again?! Utter shambles. So is there a genuine chance that this will put them in the brown stuff financially?
  13. Think you have over thought this one considering it has only just happened. Maybe Blatter is elsewhere and will be arrested later, or they don't quite have the goods on him at this stage. Either way, there is no way that Blatter has not had a hand in the 'alleged' corruption.
  14. No Sh*t. Its the worlds worst kept secret that the organization is rotten to the core and Blatter is a fundamental part of that. Its just amazing how nobody has been arrested sooner. Hopefully this is the start of creating a transparent and non-profit football governing body. That is the dream.
