It was never ever a penalty
If that was awarded against us we would be livid
Yep. A lot of rose tinted specs on about this Penalty decision. We'd be livid if it was against us.

I’m assuming season ticket sales aren’t going well as I’m sure the club usually release updates on numbers. Also noticed the promotional video being played on TV a few times to promote season tickets. That will come at a cost and seems pretty desperate to me.
Not that cringeworthy Joe Sims advert? If so, thanks for reminding me for another reason why i'm glad I won't be renewing

I find the fact that's a penalty ridiculous.
But that's modern football.
It either takes your breath away, puts you to sleep, or makes you go really?
Common sense should prevail, to give a penalty in the 98th minute like that to a team in their position is sickening and we would all be fuming if it was us.
Football is regressing as a whole.

Never a penalty and common sense should prevail in these circumstances. That could send Huddersfield down. Pretty disgraceful

Not been since Cardiff at home and despite the 3 home wins I've still not been tempted enough back. Not missing out on much. Not the same club anymore.

Anyone fancy Southampton to take one of the automatic places?
Two games in hand and trips to both Leicester and Leeds to come
Thought this even before last night's result... bonkers

Appears so. Eerily reminiscent of our inexplicable capitulation in 2003 (and 2008, come to think of it).
I assume you mean 2003/04 when we went top in February then decided to lose 4 of the next 7 matches. Fall into 3rd, QPR giving us countless opportunities to get ahead of them and not capitalising on it and Lee Miller missing a sitter at the County Ground in the final minute..
Then the shitshow of a playoff final.
Yes I might still have PTSD from that season.

Definitely a history between us and Stoke. Lots of trouble during the 90s, Wembley 2000, beating us to promotion in 07/08.
Be nice to get one up on them

@Graham c Geoff Eltringham if I’m not mistaken. What a surprise. Absolutely incompetent.
What a shock. One of the very worst out there.

I am not anti-Manning.
I want City to win every game, but something has just felt different lately around Ashton Gate (maybe for a few years), I don't feel excited to go and watch us anymore.
Not changed my mind on renewing my ST, I'm just content watching us from home on Robins TV and I'll go to more away games from next season where the support is more vocal.
Something about the club has been lost over the last few years.
Still a great win last night, but I don't wish I was there to see it in person, seen it all before.

Sorry if already mentioned but what was our last 5-0 win?
Hull at home in 2022.

Fair play. Blackburn were poor but we have been impressive since the International break.
Still have no motivation to return but I am happy with the progress these last 4 games.

Blackburn are terrible

Winter is good how I would say he has this irritating habit of fawning over bigger sides or issues. His coverage when Everton were reduced on Appeal annoyed me.
Fawns over England all the time as well, always has done.

Definitely not a penalty and that's all we're going to hear over next few days.
Bayern Munich played well I thought. Still got world class players which our media forgot about.

Robins TV - 'Liam is still learning about his players'.
5 months after being in the job?

Explain Doku, who's a "running with the ball" type of player?
Simply bought by Pep to push them further up the pitch when needs be because of his pace. Technically, he's poor no where near the ability of Foden or Grealish and a step down on the talent they had previously out wide (Mahrez, Sane, D Silva, Sterling).

I'm baffled why you said that Man City have an obsession with possesion and positional play. That may be so. But why say the obsession bit? You've framed it like it's a negitive.
Maybe it's a negitive for Cole Palmer but Man City are the holders of 5 trophies and have a decent chance of doing back to back trebles so their obsession with it is well founded.
Grealish had a fantastic season for Man City last season and was instrumental in them winning the treble.
I'm not going to tell you that you know nothing. I think Peps huge body of work speaks for itself.
I don't think anyone would put Cole Palmer in a team ahead of KDB, Foden or Bernardo Silva.
Pep certainly has an obsession with this style of play, it's not wrong on his part to play that way as it works and is very successful.
I deem it negative because I find it actually quite mundane and characterless to watch, it works but it's not what I particularly enjoy watching.. As said elsewhere I prefer Liverpool's organised chaos to Man City's robots.
If you like Man City then fair enough but it's not wrong to find them boring to watch either.
