  1. Probably considered a 'Dinosaur' to many nowadays just because of his age. His sides have always played good, attacking Football and i'd have had him at City over LM.
  2. I'm not sure I can see much of any improvement. Feels very much the same as when NP was in charge. Some good moments in games, and some really bad ones. The side is inconsistent. So far our best performance this season was under NP, at Swansea. We were brilliant that day, and our worst was probably Coventry at home, where we ironically got the 3 points. I just am not seeing a difference in performance than before, just the same inconsistency. I'll make no bones about it now, I didn't want NP gone, and I think the decision to sack him is up there with the poor decision to appoint Holden, but i'm happy to be proven wrong.
  3. Pep's Man City side when chasing a game 'go for it'. They don't slowly pass the ball around, they overload the wings with Doku, Foden, Grealish, Silva and attempt to get the ball into a dangerous area for Haaland or Alvarez as soon as they can. They're fast and incisive and a lot of teams cannot cope with their speed/intensity, hence why they score an awful lot of goals. It's only when they are 2 or 3-0 up they start killing the game off by passing it slowly and keeping possession. They don't play like this at 0-0. Liverpool are the same - high intensity, so are Arsenal, so are Spurs currently and so are Chelsea. These sides are actually quite direct, particularly Liverpool, but it's exciting to watch. Being direct does not make you a long ball side like Wimbledon or Bristol Rovers from the 1980s with massive strikers to score from long throw ins by the way.
  4. I watched the PL games yesterday and realised no one really plays slow possession based football and are successful nowadays. Man City don't. They only do this when they're 2 or 3-0 up. Everything is fast, the passing is between the lines, or into an area of potential danger and playing at a low intensity is not what I see. I don't view slow, possession based football as particularly modern. Maybe 10 years ago when Barcelona's tiki taka was at its peak and Swansea had some success playing this way. We have to get in players who play with a higher intensity and are comfortable in bringing the ball forward and passing between the lines. Passing between midfield and defence slowly is not in any way 'modern and progressive'.
  5. From what I can see on Tinnions Twitter account with the replies and responses to tweets there have been no such thing as abuse, criticism yes, but no abuse. I see it as the club refusing to be held accountable for the bad decisions they make so they are just shying away from it. What a snake.
  6. Not sure why we are suddenly a 'work in progress'. We were a 'work in progress' under NP but you never cut him any slack even when he took over the side with the absolute garbage he inherited from Dean Holden.
  7. The stats say we have more possession and more shots some say. Stats can be misleading. It doesn't feel like we are playing better than under NP. We're still inconsistent and have unforced errors in us. Swansea away, Stoke home (should have won), Plymouth home for example were games in which we played high tempo really good passing football but it went unnoticed. What are we comparing the last 4 games against? NPs very worst performances or his best ones? I reiterate I don't think slow possession football suits this current group of players.
  8. Maybe Manning is only just realising what he has got himself into?
  9. Comes across very childish from Tinnion and delusional. He has been over promoted at the club which is a worry.
  10. Won't be coming back onto X then.
  11. Don't criticise one of the 'Star Boys'. In seriousness, I think Bell looks a way off Championship standard.
  12. I do care, but it's a shrug of the shoulders. I'm fuming with what is going on within the club. They don't deserve any success. Us, the fans have suffered too long for the bad decisions the club have been making for years. Care? Absolutely. Love the club, but i'm completely and utterly disconnected that it isn't worth the anger. They get what they deserve i'm afraid.
  13. We had Nigel Pearson, Richard Gould, Curtis Fleming in positions at the club 12 months ago. Men who had experience in their job roles and not out of their depth. Inevitably with those three gone we have been left with amateur hour again.. Am I right in saying you were one wanting NP sacked?
  14. Steve said in 2017 to Geoff Twentyman 'it is MY Club'. Yeah, that speaks loud and clear. They do not understand Football
  15. Sadly this is the most disconnected i've ever felt from Bristol City. I didn't even care when Norwich scored the winner today. Thanks Jon, Brian and the media team. You have made me feel so disconnected from the club that I don't even care.

    ENJOYMENT

Football is about excitement for me, like all Sports but unfortunately I don't find us an excitable watch. Even against Boro we were a hard watch, wins sugar coat the actual real problem for me in that we are just so damn boring. Watching us try and scrape victories every week isn't for me and never will be.
  17. Having a go at other fans along the way for not 'Getting over' NP.
  18. Why are you annoyed for? You got what you wanted in October.
  19. I was told by someone who works at the club that JL wasn't happy that NP didn't support the club with certain causes etc.. God forbid a Football Manager being his own Man and having his own views. Probably told BT that some of the academy players are nowhere near good enough or ready.
  20. Totally overachieving. Getting the very best from an average bunch whilst reducing our wage bill at the same time and selling our two best assets. The delusion from the club to sack him and for the fans who supported that decision deserve everything they get.
  21. Hang on a minute. You are missing the 'STAR BOYS' Sam Bell and Tommy Conway
  22. I hope the likes of Exiled Robin, Tony Wilkins, Ian Gay, Matt Withers are all happy and entertained this afternoon. *******
  23. Yeah same as me mate. Shrugged my shoulders as that goal went in. What they sow they shall reap.
