There are two types of people; those who take their green and yellow letters and stick with them. And those who use completely different letters to exhaust the field. The first type tend to get better early wins, but risk not getting it. The second type tend to be less likely to not get it at all.
  2. Seems add take to me. The beauty of a hybrid is that you don’t need the charging infrastructure. You charge at home and when you run out you use petrol diesel. For my mind you wouldn’t ever stop to recharge a hybrid. I don’t with mine, but the it only does 20 miles on electric! ?
  3. I was indeed wrong! Goodness me! Thankfully it was an imaginary £100.
  4. Good. We don’t know what’s going to happen in the long term but essentially it’s charged Ivor not charged. Not charged is always better!
  5. Yes mate. People often get confused with the difference between charged and convicted. Charged means the lawyer thinks there’s a realistic prospect of conviction. You remand someone once charged because you think they’ll interfere with witnesses or commit further offences if they were released ion bail. If you don’t think this is the case then you must have all the evidence in your case, if you need to remand then a lawyer will agree for you to have a proportion of the evidence provided that more will be forthcoming during the investigation while the person awaits their trial in prison. This all sounds a bit technical!
  6. Oh wow. That’s a massive development. Didn’t expect that at all.
  7. Right… so it’s fair to say that after the social media allegations GMP had reasonable grounds to suspect he’d committed the offences of rape and assault. He was therefore arrested. I would assume that the further arrested means that post his arrest GMP discovered evidence of further offences they now had cause to suspect him of committing. My assumption would be that these would have come through obtaining a statement from the complainant which they probably didn’t have prior to his arrest. It doesn’t mean a great deal to be honest, other than that there are other offences that they’re now looking at. It doesn’t give them any more time, but as someone suggested, the range of offences has now increased. Being a betting man, I’d suggest a charge is round the corner and he’ll be held by police until court the day after he’s charged. My bet would then be that some highly paid barrister will manage to get him bail further on down the line. Edit: I’d definitely have a cheeky ton on him being charged tomorrow. Looks like GMP are really going to town on him - you rarely see Mags Court extensions for anything other than murder. I think he’d have been released by now if they weren’t going to charge him - but I suppose I am wrong on occasions!
  8. We have a Volvo XC90 hybrid ? and a Hyundai Ioniq (not the 5). Im not sure my next car will be anything other than a Volvo, I’m so impressed with it and 0-60mph in 5.4s is so impressive for a car that weighs 2.5t and averages 50mpg! The Hyundai was cheap as chips but is a lovely little car. It’ll do 190 miles on a full charge and it has everything you could ever want it to. The Hyundai range is largely regarded to be one of the most accurate out there - I’ve seen as high as 215m on the range. But as others have said, the two cars you’ve listed are hardly a fair comparison, but I know the Ioniq 5 is extremely well thought of.
  9. My dislike for LJ is two fold. First the nepotism under which he landed our job and was treated more favourably than any manager ever - especially given Cotts’ lack of backing and eagerness to be sacked - although granted this isn’t anything that LJ had any control over himself. Secondly and probably more importantly it’s the fact that he tries to be clever. He comes up with all this bollocks while not playing players in their positions. Measuring grass, speaking to ex military, spending time in a Michelin starred restaurant. Honestly, what bollocks. It may get him the odd newspaper article for innovation, but his attempts at being clever don’t impress your average football fan. Then there’s his lack of humility. Wherever he goes, he’d be well advised to tone it down, not throw players under the bus and accept his mistakes.
  10. Wayne Rooney has won 8 league games this season. As a comparison, Joey Barton has won 10. It’s good this game isn’t it?
  11. You’re sort of right… but there was a twist in the tail at trial where the witness who saw him said he didn’t see his face… that’s a massive flaw that I wasn’t privy to and so that accounts for that anomaly. I pretty sure I didn’t say he was looking at custodial - quite the opposite in fact.
  12. Funny one. Looking over their results, they’d smash a fair few teams but also get dicked fairly regularly. I wonder what that’s down to.
  13. If at any point in his career Lee Johnson works under Pep, give me a shout and I’ll have 10 bottles of Weston’s Vintage send over to you. The only place that’ll happen is in LJ’s mind.
  14. His play certainly wouldn’t fit in with our past half a dozen games.
  15. What he does next is a genuinely interesting question… I think it’ll probably be league one again. Oh Dave. Hang your head!
  16. A Mate has just text to tell me that apparently the decision to leave was mutual and LJ is off to join Pep at Man City.
  17. Genuinely, I think I’d prefer relegation!
  18. Yeh… as comparable as Cotts’ Bristol City and LJ Bristol City!
  19. That last post was my climax. Been gagging to say it for ages. Now the time has come and I can let go for a little while. On a serious note, I genuinely don’t hate Lee Johnson, I just think he’s a real cringeworthy character and a bit of a ****. No actual malice there! asterisked word rhymes with ‘that’.
