  1. Leics avoided the follow-on (by 1 run!), but Hampshire have forfeited their seond innings. 150 to win or, more realistically, 22 overs to survive.
  2. Play called off for the day. Phew!
  3. Indeed. Partnership of 166 between Darren Stevens and Miguel Cummins: Darren Stevens 160 Miguel Cummins 1 Extras 5 Stevens' contribution of 96.38% in the partnership is the highest in a 100+ run stand in first-class cricket.
  4. Except, perhaps, at Southampton, where Leicestershire are in danger of being asked to follow on - 27/5 with a target of 84!
  5. Do you like singing and have you just moved to South Wales?
  6. Thanks for that - it would appear our Rovers friend may be right, i.e. a Category 3 offence, albeit aggravated by previous convictions for same, but given what appears to be a marked reluctance by the Courts to impose custodial sentences, I suspect you will be proved correct. Incidentally, a 97% success rate in your department is pretty impressive ?.
  7. One of their posters, who claims to have some knowledge of sentencing iro ABH cases, states that it is a 'category 3' ABH offence, the lowest of three categories, so a custodial sentence is most unlikely. I have no idea in which Police department you are based, but do you have any knowledge on the subject of sentencing?
  8. Still no play at Taunton, although the covers appear to be off - awaiting the result of a 12H30 pitch inspection. I see, @Tom, that your favourite Grockles poster has replied to your post about Richard Gould and advised that he is an Ipswich fan.
  9. Failing that, we could always name a cider after him:
  10. It's alright for you and @slartibartfast, as I note that Glos. don't even have a match scheduled before playing Somerset so should escape the rain and consequent lost points.
  11. Definitely need their wellies today.
  12. Given it is likely Nimes are going to get relegated, we might be able to buy him back - for a cut-price fee ?.
  13. Badges? You mean Spurs! We don't need no stinking badges.
  14. There have been some unfortunate insulting exchanges today, especially on the 'Pearson post-match interview' thread, the usual attacking the poster rather than the post etc., but at least, for the most part, there was also some supporting dialogue accompanying the insults. One unsavoury, single word insult was directed to our friend @RalphMilnesLeftFoot, somewhat ironic in its terminology, and I am sure she will be amused to see our old computer friend 'Excel' himself, pun totally intended, with his contribution to today's Rovers match thread. 15. You have lost me as to why Sky might be struggling, but I assume you have noticed who took 4-74 for Kent - our former academy player, Nathan Gilchrist, who apparently rejected our contract offer.
  16. I read this wonderful news on the BBC Sports live thread. I wonder whether @phantommight wish to amend the thread title to something more appropriate - given the happy new developments.
  17. As we well know - 2-0 is a dangerous score.
  18. All Out - Josh Davey with a Michelle. 2 runs to win - Tom Lammonby to hit the winning runs?. Or, Heaven forebid, out for another duck.
  19. Yes. Mr. Organ can go back to Viz, and we can concentrate on Abbas. Still a lead of 7 runs.
  20. Felix Organ - 87 balls for 5 runs - a strike rate of 5.4! Somerset still lead by 30 - 24!
  21. Then we had better make the most of those 40 minutes after tea!
  22. Off for tea now so, if you are right, that leaves 40 minutes or so to get the last two wickets - famous last words, but Abbas is not the best batsman so, if they can break this stubborn stand, we should be OK.
