I know, hence my earlier apology - to the other Tom.
Hmmm.
As they often say: get one, get two.
I hope they don’t throw it away now - 30 minutes ago I was really expecting full batting points before the pitch started to turn a bit more for Jack.
Thanks for that
Tom can consider himself very fortunate.
As was mentioned on the official site, that could well be a game changing moment for, at the risk of repeating @Lrrr’s error of speaking too soon and jinxing him, Tom Abell looks very well set and a well-deserved Century surely beckons.
I am out and about today, so unable to watch the live stream.
Just catching up with the score on Cricinfo and the Somerset site, however, I note that we have scored two fives, presumably overthrows, and that Tom Abell was saved from a tight runout as the umpire was looking in the other direction!
Is anybody watching and able to advise?
A quick check on the Grockles site reveals a post from @TomF’s favourite, who confirms he has checked the scorecard and that Tom Abell’s possible runout was definitely Not Out!
Ah Yes, Peter Brough, the ventriloquist, with his puppet Archie Andrews.
I remember them and, as you suggest, I imagine they would have been pretty impressive on the radio ?.
Hello Children, Everywhere.
Actually, I don't remember him (I have just looked him up on WIKI), so obviously I am not that old.
But, seriously, Junior Choice was always Ed Stewart for me.
Is this the one you mean?
My apologies.
For some reason, the link appears to have stopped at this stage, and I am unable to delete it.
If anybody considers it inappropriate please feel free to delete - if you know how.
If that was the same match, there was an announcement over the tannoy that, due to the inclement weather, the last train back to Sheffield would be leaving at around 17H00ish so fans would have to leave 'soonish' or spend the night in Bristol.
Cue the chant, 'One Bed and Breakfast, there's only one Bed and Breakfast'.
Unfortunately, Somerset's batting is, once again, a weak point in their Championship aspersions, but Well Done to Glos and, especially, to James Bracey, who appeared to be the main difference between the two sides.
So, I checked in to catch up on today's match and David Hopps didn't let me down ?:
Dystopian science-fiction novels have never been shy of depicting an isolated and fearful society in which debilitated human beings become over-reliant on technology and are force-fed propaganda in a sad and meaningless existence.
George Bartlett scored a Century when we beat Glos last year; today would prove timely if he can repeat it.
In other news; Essex now 77/8!
I am pleased Durham appear to be improving this season after the deal they were dealt by the powers that rule English cricket.
Sorry George ?.
Does anybody know why the stream appears to be only showing from behind the wicketkeeper, rather than behing the bowler's arm?
