  1. North Bristol pretty bad as well
  2. Snow game, orange ball ….didn’t think this was predicted weather wise
  3. Totally agree- bar a couple more wins the season is effectively over so keep the progress slow and steady and maybe if fit enough a couple of cameo appearances in the last few games before what I hope will be a full injury free pre season.
  4. I may be alone in this but I really dislike the thought of Saturday 3pm games being shown live- this day and time has always been the heartbeat of the English game, where people gather pre match with friends and family to watch their team at the ground…..can only see the removal of the blackout as a sad thing
  5. Pretty sure no more than ten days ago you were saying our season was effectively over after the cup loss- now a play off place is in our own hands which it most certainly is not by the way.
  6. Fair enough but he had only been 3 days at the club, no real time to evaluate and get to know the players both professionally and as importantly personally. No more than a couple of training sessions as well. I think a month or maybe even more is when you start to get a feel for what a new manager brings.
  7. I think for he/she’s own sanity they need a break from here anyway.
  8. The main man- getting this group ticking now, just hope it’s not a case of after the Lloyd mayors show on Saturday.
  9. Ashton gate under lights with this kind of performance is some place. go on Liam and team
  10. Brilliant disciplined performance to a man so far
  11. How much you looking for Dave? DM if easier?
  12. What era are these from mate?
  13. Very happy with this piece of business ahead of the summer
  14. Good news been quietly impressed with his growing influence within the team
  15. A point keeps this little good run going- onto Millwall
  16. Brilliant find thanks, have watched these before but couldn’t remember this. One question I have as someone who is fascinated with football during the 70s up to mid 80s is why have the BBC not made the match of the day archives available to purchase? It’s great to watch the BIg Match when it is on but so many games and goals I and other later have never seen will be on the bbc equivalent?
  17. You are probably right, FWIW I think the Pearson V Manning debate and point scoring will rumble on for the rest of the season, as we will undoubtably lose matches, maybe go on a 3-4 game losing run before we land where I think we will which will be anywhere between 8th-12th. You can then make an argument either way based on that when Pearson was sacked we were 11th and no one knows what could have happened when he got key players back from injury. I appreciated the work Nigel did In his time with us when he was left to front this club out whilst he was working with a board who appear to have never really supported him fully, which is frankly appalling. Did I really enjoy the football under Pearson- over the course of his tenure I would say slightly underwhelming so I hope the apparent more front football under Mannning continues and we can then see what happens when he has an opportunity to bring in his type of player in the summer.
  18. Go on Manno the management team and the boys, another big game in a few days but great Xmas so far
