  1. He was getting what he could out of a limited squad with limited sometimes curtailed investment while reducing the wage bill from the eye watering £35m per annum under LJ and MA. No other manager, available freely or who would come to us, has his squad building and infrastructure skills. He deserved a proper CEO (Alexander) to help support him, proper recruitment, and not Tinnion sticking his d*** in the pie. As for the bit in bold - reread my post. Where have I said the football was brilliant. Sh** attempt deflection at best. Give me some real counterpoints otherwise why post. Who do we get that's better that would work with these amateurs in these constraints like NP did.
  2. It's not none though is it. Statistically. Highest relegated point tally is Peterboro with 54.
  3. Even worse recruitment then, as TGH was as good at RB as I am at Salsa dancing. I like him, but his position sense and concentration need massive work across the pitch.
  4. Just cant take Ian seriously when hes commenting complete bollocks. Sure thing Ian - who said they had a plan when if Scott left? - Pearson. Instead we loan in TGH - complete failure in recruitment - and that rests squarely at Tinnion's door. "Didn't sort out the financial mess", **** me sideways.
  5. Is this a slight at Manning, or us?
  6. Nothing wrong with Jay or Palmer technically. The issue is we recruited under LJ period without looking to integrate them into any kind of system. We wanted 'clubs in the bag'. Said it before but it's become more apparent the issue was LJ and not MA for all his smarmy behaviour. Unfortunately MA liked doing a deal - so couldn't just say 'No more'.
  7. Disagree. His lack of flexibility is purely down to him. Would be willing to back him if I saw some gears turning, some adjustments - we saw it with NP trying out multiple systems to find what suited the squad. He's just a crap manager.
  8. The finger pointing and arguing amongst themselves says otherwise.
  9. Oh look, another one. And I'm not the first to notice. No one claims NP was a saint. But he, in interviews, outlined what merits a manager should be based on. One of those outlined parameters was that it was his job to find a system for 'these' players to get results. Not his system. Not his 'framework' or 'processes'. The squad first. Manning is 180 the opposite and he's losing the dressing room because of it. We've gone from defending the players and taking the flack and responsibility under NP to blaming the players and not the process under Manning. It's no wonder we're now seeing soft performances. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/every-word-nigel-pearson-city-7970393?int_source=amp_continue_reading&int_medium=amp&int_campaign=continue_reading_button#amp-readmore-target Just see Niges post match from West Brom as a comparison. 'Our Players, Our Fans' Compared to https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/liam-manning-bristol-city-cardiff-9138398 'I want, I want, I want', then 'they (the team) should feel x, y, z. It's just terrible leadership. Leagues apart. Literally and in methodology with regards to squad culture.
  10. Also no way was there the announced figures there today - 19k. Tops.
  11. Not only that - this board lack so much balls like a bad boyfriend they'd probably do it via text message.
  12. Are talking about this season when he was in charge, and the whole - ya know - injury crisis where Sykes played at LB and Joseph James - who Manning doesn't even name on the bench once, was RB? Or are we talking about last season when once NP nailed down 4-3-3 and we actually looked consistent, performance wise, and just needed to make sure Scott was replaced but the Heirarchy decided that was too straight forward and took a massive risk on TGH that for me has completely flattered to deceive.
  13. Only way I'd even contemplate it with my budgets being tight buying a new house the end of the year would be if they sacked Manning and Tinnion, and reappointed NP and gave him reign to clear house. Otherwise that £200+ renewal cost is going on building materials - now that Wickes isn't going to be there (which is actually really annoying). DIY and watching the paint dry would genuinely give me more fulfillment.
  14. *sigh* Let me find Keith Dawe's phone number....
  15. On the evidence, he doesn't deserve a preseason being frank. A 6ft thick pillbox is more flexible.
  16. He went as he absolutely lost the squad due to his own horrific man management and overspending.
  17. That's honestly... just a bit sad.
  18. Almost would feel if that happened get NP to lead football matters. Could advise King etc.
  19. Add Lisa Knight as well. Director of Communication my left foot.
  20. Their egos would love that. And I'd love Cooper to shoot them down live on sky in front millions, maybe that would humble them - doubtful, but I can dream.
  21. Don't think it's even that at this stage. He's just failing.
  22. Yet if that was NP today you would have slated him. Joke.
  23. I'm not Dave. But I seriously can't see us picking up anything this month, especially Ipswich nor Leicester. At best a point at Swansea, as Williams seems to have turned a corner.
