  1. And Williams and COD back looking tasty.
  2. Yep, I'm listening to radio briz coverage in Australia and the fans came across really well. Not been to the Gate for a number of years so it made me feel quite emotional, made the hairs on my neck stand up. Really happy for everyone there that the lads hung on for the 3 points. Well done AG. ? ? ?
  3. Bloody hell, listening to that was wreaking my nerves! Great win, bit lucky by the sound of it but who cares. 12th man sounded immense on the radio. Love it.
  4. Get well soon Nige. Wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery.
  5. And Away. Listened to it on audible with Bob narrating. Wonderful book. Lovely man.
  6. Spot on there Phil, its a young man's game. On a slightly different angle, I've spent many days working in the desert (full ppe) after a monster session the night before and just got on with it, felt shit but no problem. These days, half a bottle of bojolly and I'm crying to the Mrs in the morning.
  7. I thought the same when the cricketers started kneeling in Sharjah. Amazing. With regard the W/C. Is it possible the players could boycott the tournament itself? I mean, they're not contractually bound or anything are they?
  8. Yep, the climate can be quite pleasant in the winter, even getting the occasional downpour. Not just during the stadium construction. The whole of Doha and the industrial city was / is built using these poor sods.
  9. Yep, Old Rosie is about as good as it gets in Oz. Plays havoc with my guts though so I'll only occasionally buy a flagon as a treat. You can get Gold in Dan Murphy's but christ knows what they do to it to make it sweet like all other Oz ciders. (I think I've tried them all ?)
  10. RIP fellow red. Condolences to family and friends.
  11. Moving out of Bristol a bit, The Black Horse in Gordano deserves a mention. Cracking pub with a large garden, sometimes live music in the summer and a roaring fire in the winter. Good selection of beers and cider too. One of my favourite boozers but unfortunately a pain in the arse for me to get to.

    Podcast

I'll be listening later today as I drive around perpetually locked down Melbourne. ?
  13. Yep, had some good nights in the Mont and Cadbury House back in late 80s early 90s. I remember a chaotic Nov 5th fireworks display in the garden (can't remember which one) where most of the fireworks somehow shot into the crowd!! Don't think anyone was injured but people were diving for cover everywhere!
  14. Yes, made me feel quite homesick reading this. Can't believe the Orchard isn't in there. Not been in for a long time but I sure miss a pint of CV and a cheese n onion doorstep.
  15. Well, technically that should result in a happy ending? ?
  16. Haha. Gary Owers just shouted “pick that one out” ?
  17. Rick Vivian Richie Eddie Partridge Stan Ollie Fawlty Del boy Edmund Blackadder
  18. "Suck on that Elon Musk, you ****** gashead" ? In reply to the OP. You're criticising a podcast which is sometimes recorded in the hosts sisters bedroom! Chill out. The lads do a great job in my opinion and their efforts are very much appreciated down here in Oz.
  19. Agree with all regarding Fontaines DC. I'd love to see them live. Dogrel was good but A Hero's Death takes it up a level imo. Miami by Baxter Dury is a good tune from a few years back. Not new music but I've only just discovered and been getting into Sleaford Mods. Not everybody's cuppa but it's my go to music while running at mo.
  20. Thanks for the replies. One of the bets was M’bro relegation, bloody big odds too. Although I think Colin will keep them safe.
  21. Does anyone know if season outright bets are still running? I've just checked by skybet account (first time in months) and the promotion / relegation bets I placed have disappeared with no refund or record of settlement. I'd phone sky but I'm in Oz at the moment. Cheers.
  22. Spot on there R or D. This vid explains it quite well.
  23. What a silly statement. Have you ever been self employed? Do you work in construction? A lot of tradesmen have to be self employed to sign up for some crappy agency that take a percentage of their wage in order to give them work. It’s basically a continual cycle of zero hour contracts where one can be laid off at a moments notice. It’s a shitty way to live, there’s no handfuls of cash, no sick pay, no holiday pay, no respect but for a lot of skilled tradesmen that’s life.
  24. Ahh irony. Very good. Hey, I was just reminding you not to believe everything you read. But you know that already right. ?
