  1. 6-1 win in front of a sellout crowd. Plenty of people watching the sport for the first time. I'll keep talking to myself on this topic and who knows, by the end of the season someone might even join me! (probably out of pity)
  2. Yep, after nine years in exile, Bristol's ice hockey team finally has a home. First game is tonight against Romford; delighted to say that there's a pretty big queue outside the new Planet Ice rink! (shout out to the bloke who said 'it's a bigger queue than the Gas get!' as he walked past me. Currently we are quite low down the league although have at least seven (!) games in hand due to the delayed opening of the rink. But who cares, we're here now! Anyone who hasn't seen ice hockey before; go. It's a pretty unique spectacle and a nice foil for those who may be becoming disillusioned with modern football...
  3. Anyone else remember when half time at the Mem turned into (hopefully) Bristol's biggest Babestation watch party?
  4. The year is 2134. The city of Newcastle prepares for its ancient annual ritual of the 'Saudi Arabian Takeover'. Local children sit on parade floats, wearing traditional Arabic dress and throwing dates to the thousands of spectators who line the streets. Nobody knows how this tradition started, or what it is even supposed to mean. Local historians say it was something to do with the historic football club, who played their games in the city before all sport was made illegal following Bet365's brutal invasion of Denmark in 2084.
  5. I hope they get a good reception. They were part of the best time of my life supporting City in 17/18 (well, more just 17) ; JB scored the winner against Rovers as a kid ffs, is that not enough?
  6. Right on cue! Couldn't be a better visual metaphor for the man
  7. You'd think this Blackpool lot just won the World Cup and cured cancer the way they're bloody going on
  8. We are at the very beginning of what will hopefully become the change that was promised to us last year before they decided they liked the cosiness around the place too much to really mess with anything. Results are pretty much irrelevant as nothing will salvage this season which I would rate 1 out of 10; complete failure. What matters to me is seeing youth players being given a chance and Pearson taking risks and having a complete assessment of the squad and youngsters coming through prior to the clear out. Think of it as a prologue. PS; anyone got a stream link?
  9. God, what an embarrassment the women's team are! 6-0 down at Vicarage Road? Absolutely ridiculous; you would never see the men's team have a result like that!
  10. ‘YOU’RE A DISGRACE’ that’s got to be the next OSIB title surely
  11. The worst thing is that even when we’re playing well we still aren’t confident about capitalising on the opportunities we are given. It’s the predictability that’s the worst thing about it all
  12. The worst thing is that he failed the fit and proper persons test and yet the EFL still let him buy the club. I would say they have a lot to answer for but we’ve already had enough of their woolly statements. It’s time they took action. No wonder Shaun Harvey ran away before this crisis came to its peak
  13. Your visit reminds me of when we were about to play Man City, and you made an account to go on their forum, find a topic about us, and basically try to be their friend and rip us down at any opportunity. How boring and unsatisfying must your life be to the point where that is a fun, amusing and worthwhile way to spend your day?
  14. It's not ideal but it's who we have to fight against now. Which is why when looking at how we are doing right now, nobody can deny that it's a hell of an achievement. We really are getting to that enviable position of being the lovable underdogs, who the neutrals root for.
  15. My mate is going on X Factor and asked me if I could do anything possible to help him progress in the competition as far as possible. So I killed his mum.
  16. I remember Abraham's hold up play and ability to win the ball in the air being his main weaknesses when he first joined. He improved massively over the course of the season but he had to start somewhere. Kelly will come good without a doubt.
  17. I was probably far too drunk to enjoy it to be fair. Once I actually opened my eyes it was rather fun. Shame about the end but I guess we had done it to plenty of teams this year ourselves. Brought a bunch of friends and they enjoyed it so all is well
  18. I'm fully aware of the value of drawing the league leaders at half time but Jesus this has been one boring game so far
  19. Clarke is dangerous, isn't he! If United score before the break they thoroughly deserve it. They have really exploited our weaknesses on the flanks
