  1. Makes this win all the more important. It seems we only ever pick up points when the other bottom feeders do too. I would say hopefully this big result will give us confidence but that is not the way that this league works
  2. Hope so, bloody long way to Blackburn from Cornwall but I'll be making the journey! How is Emnes playing? He seems their most dangerous one
  3. 'BRISTOL CITY TIL I DIE' Bring your wellies as you'll be wading through a sea of idiots
  4. I do not like LJ, and I hated the car crash of an interview earlier from SL. However, wanting us to be relegated so that LJ leaves is the definition of cutting your nose off to spite your face. I will always celebrate a City goal and a City win.
  5. Wolves will win 3-1, which will not be a margin high enough for SL to dismiss LJ. We will not be hearing any more interviews for a while after Twentyman crucified SL on air- Ashton will continue to hide.
  6. This surely has to be it. Despite the fact all the promising managers have already gone to other teams now. League One beckons.
  7. just 'one of those days'? It's been 'one of those days' for two months now! If we were not so wasteful with our shooting we would be able to avoid these uncertainties and these incidents where games hang on unfortunate events! I do not accept that excuse anymore. Not after the last two months.
  8. Josh Brownhill is ALIVE everybody! Somebody go through Bedminster and take all those 'lost child' posters down
  9. Bryan yet again the weak link- drop him for a prolonged period. So disappointing to see him plateau Reid's finishing isn't good enough to play the #10 role either.
  10. O'Dowda on the left, Tomlin centre, Freeman right. Reid next to GON in the centre of the park. That's the easy bit. Now, the difficult bit- to inexplicably travel to Bristol at the speed of light, replace LJ by becoming a clone of him (Canada Goose jacket and all) and leave the real one trapped on the West Stand roof actually watching his team do well.
  11. Wow. The sad fact about this whole situation today is that I predicted it the moment I saw the lineup- I said to my girlfriend that we would get slaughtered on the left flank due to Joe currently acting like he belongs in a padded cell and Tomlin not being able to do defensive duties while he tries to carry the team. I then expect LJ to say 'we were unlucky' in his press conference and then not changing the lineup. Engvall won't play. O'Dowda and De Girolamo will remain in their spots of having afternoon tea with Lord Lucan. Sadly predictable, yet the only guy on the planet that seems to be unable to see this is the bloke in charge of the team.
  12. Do not understand why Brownhill was put on at right back at this time. Excellent going forward but that was not what we needed. Furthermore many of the Barnsley lads played with him last season and know his playstyle and weaknesses. Matthews should have stayed and LJ did not need to start playing mad scientist with the defence, otherwise we would have three points.
  13. If you would have offered 4 points from the last 2 games I would have taken it. We're pretty much safe now regardless of that equaliser
  14. just come home from work... WHAT IS HAPPENING HOW HAS THIS HAPPENED THIS IS AMAZING HHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG *breathing intensifies*
  15. I doubt we'll have the same setup. Korey will be back and Bryan or Reid probably won't play in the centre in such an important game.
  16. Today was bad (I turned it off after the third goal to be honest) but it's part and parcel of being a small, newly-promoted team in this division. I still think we're capable of surviving and will prove ourselves in fixtures against teams that don't contain Prem quality players even on their bench. We really need a ball playing centre half as pacy strikers can completely turn the Baker and Flint duo. Not the best day for Jonny K, he was wasteful when not invisible. Bobby Reid is really not good enough for the Championship, sorry lad I really want you to be good enough but it just isn't to be. No steel in midfield that Smith usually provides- can't help that with Pack and Bryan in the centre we are still too lightweight and it showed today. However, we have to remember that there are sides in this league far worse than us. Bolton are doomed, Charlton won't stay up with what is surrounding the club. MK don't have their two key players that made last season so special for them (Afobe & Alli) and I think they'll take the last spot. We need to build next year and clear out this reliance on loans, as we can't just rely on a couple of clubs entering oblivion again like they have this season.
