  1. Yeh ok but with 25 games left Rotherham could finish in the top 10. Don't for one minute think that will happen what have you seen in the last 2 months makes you think we will?
  2. When I say faithful I mean no matter who the manager (coach or whatever title now) is just to our club. Which brings up a new question. Should the worst happen, were relegated how many faithful would we have left? Would imagine we would lose at least 1/3rd of season tickets maybe more. The gate would look a sad place now with 10,000 rattling around. Witch has got to tell Johnson, Lansdown Ashton. come on!!! I know Spudski and the like on here advocate the long game but in any level of football you seem to be going backwards or forwards, dosen't seem to much time for standing still. Lets hope all our planning for the long game don't bite our ass in the short term. urrrreeedddssss.
  3. Do you really believe that? Don't want to say iv supported for bla, bla, bla. but it's hard for me to see where the next win's coming from let alone top 10 finnish!! Hopefully a win sat against Preston but would another 0/1 surprise you? Anyway false dawns and all that lets hope this one is just a dawn!!!
  4. So that's the only options? Don't think i'm in one of those camps. Certainly not a happy clapper, things not going well Lee always talks a good game but a defeat sat against Preston puts us under real pressure. I don't think for one minute that he's under pressure as far as his job goes. But a win is so needed the early season hope is well and truly gone. The faithful are truly starting to loose faith. Maybe the next signing shouldn't be he's young has a good personality , maybe it should be sign the guy if he gets three shots at goal and gets one on target !!
  5. Ok quite a few teams have come from league 1 to be promotion chasing team (us being one) And one or two have gone straight through the divisions. I don't think you can come out with this judgement about our progress until the seasons ended. I for one was excited with all our young signings and that performance from Hudds today was what I hoping the likes of Brownhill,O'Dowda,Paterson could produce down the gate. At the time we look a million miles away. my worry is we always seem to have all these players for tomorrow and as we know it never seems to come!!! Hope your optimism wins!!!!!!!
  6. Let's see where we finish to know if weve made progress or not. Two big home games now really need at least 4 points. Today we certainly looked like a side nearer the bottom than the top.
  7. Well totally outplayed. Bobby Reid has to be the first name on the team sheet Tuesday.
  8. Great player Frankie, one of many English players (Hudson,Currie,Bowles,Marsh, etc) that back in the day you would pay good money to watch!!!
  9. Didn't he score in the next game his home debut? Seem to recall a 1/1 draw but I can't remember who against.
  10. If this was the same year I seem to remember there was a scouting party of Millwall fans already in the East End many with white butchers type coats on. They were quickly dispatched when the main City mob turned up on mass. Think we had a small fire in the East End with some of the aforementioned coats!! A while late the main mob of Millwall entered the East End and all hell broke loose. I remember getting knocked to the ground and my mate dragging me up before I got trampled. Was 15 at the time so memory may be a bit blurred but they must have been booted out as we still watched the game from somewhere near the middle of the East End!!!!!
  11. Anyone having trouble with player? Won't let me access the commentary saying I need to re/subscribe !!!!! Bloody thing is a f..... nightmare.
  12. Forgetting Abraham for a minute, don't you think this young squad can only improve next season? And that's without whoever we bring in January and the next pre season. Going by the signings this summer can only see us having a stronger squad next season.
  13. They did have a crowd of 26,574 for a forth round F.A Cup game against Southampton in Jan 78. Think only 17 turned up from Southampton, so a good turnout from the Gash!!!
  14. So waz reckon a win is due? Unreal that were still in the top six after two straight defeats. So a win Saturday will have us looking at the table. A defeat mind, well 3 in a row will mean meltdown on here!!!
  15. Meaning I'm more confident of beating a struggling Blackburn side that have won tonight, than I was of beating Cardiff or QPR with both teams being due a win. Cardiff for reasons we all know was going to be difficult. QPR not won at home since the first game of the season meant sooner rather than later they were going to beat somebody (us) Blackburn have been shit all season, so them coming to us Saturday and not as desperate as they were will somehow hopefully work in our favour.
  16. As your point makes means f... all when were up next. Thank f... Blackburn won tonight!!
  17. Look were pissed off losing to the poorest Cardiff team weve played in years. you have had your little piss take, now F... off and do one. Feel free to come back when we f..... destroy you at the Gate later in the season and have your say.
  18. For me when the ball is knocked to Freeman at pace he fails to make it stick. Turning another attack into another midfield battle yo win the ball. Saying that Jo had a mare very rarely getting outside of Freeman. I would have brought Golborne on half time and pushed Bryan up to replace Freeman. He's stronger and by far a better crosser of a ball than Luke. Maybe then Tammy might have had something to attack. As for the other wing, well you know if Little is on the overlap there is no chance of any quality crosses coming in.
  19. If you think we lost because of the ref and not how shit we have played, well I think you have the blinkers on.
  20. How many points is that weve gained from a loosing position ? yorrrrreeeeeddddsssssss!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Just looked it up 17,918 at the gate in August, 26,430 down there at Easter. Shows what a big attraction we were to them even back then!!
