  1. Looks 4231 to me Walsh and Massengo holding. Unless it’s 433/451? Walsh Szmodics Massengo as your middle three?
  2. The guy oozes class, the stat is slightly misleading in that a lot of the passes are short balls to the playmakers but what’s important about him is that he plays like s classic number 4. Breaks up play, tells players where he wants them to be, gives it to those who can in terms of making something happen offensively. think this could be our signing of the summer, appreciating its only one game but this is the type of player we have been begging for for about 3yrs when Kory started getting injured.
  3. It’s a 6/10 window for me, you can’t deny we’ve made some serious business and done well on fees. The midfield additions were exactly what we needed but no Webster replacement and no striker (which was the headline from MA that we would get one) is very, very disappointing. Think it’s another mid table season now because once again we just won’t score enough goals.
  4. I could argue that pack isn’t good enough either!
  5. Not the wow signing we wanted but if we can get his wolves form back out of him who knows. Still massively frustrated though.
  6. Think this is common sense, two midfielders signed that between them and Brownhill should be enough in the centre, with Bakinson, Walsh on the fringes and Smith to come back from injury. Marlon the odd one out tbh.
  7. They don’t have the money that’s being quoted
  8. So ironically I’m getting married same date. Can’t say it’s kicked off like that though. Got a couple scouse and spurs fans coming, question has been asked. The first dance is over by then and it’s really just party time. If the minority of them want to hide in the corner huddling around phones (no tv in the function area) then that’s up to them, it’s a party at the end of the day. That is hilarious mind.
  9. Fulham away 2016, absolute scenes when Tomlin put that free kick in and again when the final whistle went.
  10. When I’ve heard his name on the tv they were pronouncing it like there was no z, so Smod-icks
  11. Kammy was in the game and was very complimentary of us, said we were unlucky to be behind, didn’t think it was a red and also felt we were unfortunate as a whole.
  12. I support this team through and through. I just don’t see us winning against a clearly superior team, both in terms of table position and recent form. That’s called logic and being a realist.
  13. All big accusations from the OP and the only person to mention it, not seen on social media or anything. Frankly, I smell bs.
  14. Sport and money, always what it comes to. At least our way of working with options at least gives us more negotiating time. In the NFL COD would be franchise tagged if we were that desperate to keep him and keep negotiating, but that would cost a predetermined amount (usually a lot higher than what you’d be looking to pay) and there’s still no guarantee you don’t lose the player at the end of that year. At least this won’t be costly to the club, and come the summer if he wants out, our hand is still strong from a selling point of view. All good business as far as I can see.
  15. I’m the first to admit that I’m not a Watkins fan to the extent that I refer to him as our conference winger, however, ten minutes back from injury specifically sent out to just keep us steady, that’s a really over the top reaction.
