  1. Cook Jokanovic Billic Any of those would work.
  2. Defender had to get involved as it looks like Martin’s on the end of it. Will take it!
  3. As a whole? Yeah of course a striker is more than goals. But Martin is best used on the edge of the box, and in the box. Annnnnnd tell me how many touches we’ve given him that area? Strikers, like all players, have strengths and weaknesses. Martin and Wells’ strengths have not been even close to utilised. Now, for me I think vs Millwall we should have started Fam over Martin, but that’s more of an aside. The bottom line is we are not getting these players in the positions they are most effective. It’s like lumping balls up to Wilbs to run behind defenders, or giving Wells target man balls
  4. Exaggerating for effect but even so, we are a strikers graveyard.
  5. Both strikers are in the game but I’d love to see their touch map, bet 80+% is outside the box. Beggars belief that these strikers are taking the brunt when there’s zero for them to get involved with.
  6. Best of the best make and score their own chances. Okay. So given that we don’t have those players, because we are mid table champ, you need supply. Which they don’t have. I don’t get how you’re disagreeing with me? Let’s go this way then. If Tammy was on loan for his first season in these team, he’d be lucky to get double figures.
  7. Tell me what chances they’ve had? You could put Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero up there and we’d see the same.
  8. It was better but I never felt like we’d score. So I would tend to agree with you. My only positive today was it was better than Tuesday, but that’s like saying “hey I only broke my finger this time and not my arm when I fell over drunk as hell from commiserating this awful result”
  9. No Fam means no option to go long, Millwall know it, so they’re stifling everything in midfield. It’s too easy, too obvious.
  10. I’d probably look at 3-5-2 Bentley Vyner Kalas Mawson Sess Nagy Walsh Bakinson DaSilva Martin Wells Bench: O’Leary, Baker, Moore, Hunt, Rowe, Weimann, Semenyo, Diedhiou, That’s on the assumption that we had everybody back tomorrow. Harsh on Pato and COD perhaps, but rather have Andi as he can go up too or in midfield. Same with Rowe in terms of being able to play left, CB or CM.
  11. I’ll be honest, I was worried that the first few performances were a false dawn. The guy ran the show at Birmingham away last year and I held into it for a long time. That said it wasn’t looking good end of last season. Not sure what’s turned it around, fitness, better coaching, better use in the system, but the lad has really turned it around, and I’m delighted, him and Bakinson have the potential to completely boss the midfield for us.
  12. Yeah, have to say it’s only a few weeks removed when they were so far up our backsides it was almost nauseating. Think the OP and others are quick to forget that. For what it’s worth I think we got decent praise tonight, recognised that we are a bit patchwork and yet are in the top six. Suggestion that we were worth the draw but perhaps not the win, for me there’s tonnes of games like that in this division but nothing to dwell on. Only thing I didn’t get was Wells MOTM. Not for me by a long way!
