  1. Giefer O Donnell Marinovic Lucic Phillips James Thats just the last twenty. But no, no he’s one of the worst in thirty. Good grief.
  2. All strikes me of little man syndrome. Couple of them been harassing me on Twitter and all, quite amusing really. Bottom line is that gamesmanship is part of the game, we’ve been begging our lot to be a bit dirtier because if you can’t beat them, join em. Now they are, and rattling other clubs, can’t say that’s a bad thing.
  3. Stupid challenge. Leading with the arm is always going to draw a foul. No sympathy for him on that front. BUT, not in the box. Not a penalty.
  4. I mean we paid £2m for him? Maybe paid out £1.5-2m in wages over the three years, so wouldn’t be getting our entire investment back but let’s be honest we’ve done well to do so on other players. If we can sneak in another half mil and a good sell on then great, but I don’t see us getting much better money than that.

That’s by design. They’ve moved on, they’ve clearly stepped up or failed. Here’s your here and now list, that’s the benchmark.

I’ll move the goalposts to probably suit all parties and have a more sensible debate. There are 34 players aged 20 or under that have been used in squads in the championship this season every match day squad is 18 players so that’s 34/432 or 8% of players. That is, assuming that they’re picked in the squad every week (So in all likelihood this percentage is smaller). So out of that 8% or 34 players, how does HNM compare? That’s the better question because you’re actually making like for like comparisons. Source: https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/juengsteaelteste/wettbewerb/GB2
  7. Palmer getting moved off the ball to easily. Need to do something in midfield as we are getting passed by a bit too much. For me they’ve obviously been better but few we are a bit hard done by to be two down...no way he meant that second goal, weak foot, looked a bit embarrassed, so perhaps a bit unlucky from our point of view. Fam missing the target when he should score again...love the bloke but...gets a bit repetitive.
  8. What absolute dross but with that midfield was only to be expected. Feel sorry for the front three who are feeding off scraps.
  9. Moving back into the football conversation... Scott Minto also given his marching orders. A shame as I thought he held the EFL presenting very well, still fairly young (by comparison to the soccer Saturday panel), thought he may have been around a lot longer. Shame.
  10. Thompson going is madness, a good pundit. The other two I could take or leave a bit. If this means more Matt Murray then great, sadly though it’ll be more Clinton Morrison.
  11. Plymouth, 2002. Off the train, held in the back alley of the station for an hour whilst we waited for the next set of fans, surrounded by dumpsters, police dogs and the smell of our own urine since nobody was allowed out of the alley. We were awful and lost 2-0, it all started kicking off after the game and when we got back to the station the old bill put all the city fans in one carriage, irregardless of what train we had booked or anything else, it was awfully overcrowded. I was only 13, didn’t put me off though, just. Saw @Riaz mention the QPR 0-3 game, a close second only spared
  12. All possible. But equally wouldn’t it make sense of the situation? For all the bs Mark Ashton rolled out the other night one thing I agreed with was “the Lansdown family don’t do things on the cheap”. I know that’s more been about stadium and training ground...but we’ve thrown the transfer fees around too. Okay we haven’t backed it up with wages but there’s limitations there. Let’s consider this, we wanted Hughton, SL wanted him too, breath of fresh air concept, but he comes in and as suggested it’s a train wreck, thinks it’s a broom sweeping clean scenario (which let’s be honest non
  13. I think I lost it when I turned thirty and couldn’t handle the beer so well. Don’t get me wrong I love a good flair player, but do we not have KP45? I heard he played for us!
  14. Should we invite him to training? Sure, why not. May help the youth learn a few skills. Should we sign him? God no, the guys hasn’t played at this level for a number of years nor has he even shown the signs of doing so. The love in on Twitter is insane.
  15. I think with Fam probably leaving I’d base the team around a 4231 formation with Palmer, Wells, Pato and Weimann your front four. That’s where I’d start structurally, them you have 2 from Morrell, Walsh, HNM and Nagy for midfield options, and a likely back 4 of Hunt Kalas Baker JD. Bench containing 2 of the midfield above, Moore, Vyner, COD, and a new striker
