  1. Anybody else think this may get SL thinking? Him and Gibson very similar styles in club running especially when it comes to managers. Couple more poor results and play off contention dwindling you have to wonder if he would do something similar?
  2. There’s also another thing that could be going on here...he could be waiting on results for a COVID test after showing symptoms. Nobody would want to say until they knew either way.
  3. Depreciation is a kinda fake cost. It’s the determined value that your fixed assets have dropped by. So for example if you were a man with a van handyman, you may depreciate then cost of that over five years straight line. Say the van cost 20k, that’s 4K a year. Have you actually lost that 4K? You may sell it for 5k at the end you may get scrap. All of a bit of a guessing game. Without any further data I can’t tell you what that figure represents but I’d assume it to be stadium.
  4. Great listen. Hearing him say Rotherham/promotion was his best day in football. I will never forget being sat in the Dolman, fans lining to go on the pitch and Orr looks at the ref who’s already doing a runner and about to blow, he turns to the Dolman, holds his arms out and with a beaming smile screams “come on then” at the fans as the whistle blows. Proper heart on sleeve lad and a great memory.
  5. What was bonkers about this was two other teams had to win and rovers had to lose, it was just so unlikely, especially as after about half an hour in one of the other sides were losing if I remember correctly. Then all within about ten second half minutes it all starting coming together, the other two teams had taken leads and I can remember being sat at home thinking “this is actually on” I will never forget Stelling saying moments after me thinking this that they were off to the Mem for a big big goal in the L2 relegation fight. The rest boys, as they say, is history.
  6. He’s a decent midfielder so naturally he doesn’t fit into LJs plans
  7. The main takeaway I have from this is the op wants to call a stranger stupid but doesn’t like being called a whopper by a separate stranger and clearly fails to see the irony there. I love Saturdays without football.
  8. He’d never get off the sticky floors.
  9. Caught 20 mins on the radio in the first half and you guys were coming through. Wouldn’t say consistently loud but not as bad as the OP suggested. I can’t comment on anything else from last night. Always throughly on balance we do well for away support in terms of being vocal. Was at Brum and thought we were good there, few appearances on the tv I’ve seen and felt similar. Bit of a knee jerk this to me. Think a bit of context too, the poorer brand of football despite the results and lack of signings etc doesn’t exactly inspire feel good because we are all expecting us to falter agai
  10. 1. Houghton, maybe Jones (thought he was a bad fit for stoke and could do well at a club like ours), or go for somebody progressive who’s in work (Bowyer?) 2-4. Position now is okay but performances and downward trend is the issue. And we have been here before. We are meant to be a top six team this year, and we look nothing like that. The less we look like making and being a top six team the more I’d like to move on. We have allowed LJ to spend unheard of amounts of money and we haven’t moved forward at all. Some managers of our past and some managers in this league would kill for that

Can see him featuring less off the bench on games we play 4-4-2 especially now Fam is back, we have to keep semenyo* in the squad for home grown and we have a tonne of midfielders that can change a game, given that he’s not a 20 goal guy, I get it. But this was always a deal to satisfy both parties and likely to cut out in January. It’s not big deal. *okay not quite true I think Moore also qualifies
  12. Agree with a lot of the sentiment but not the ratings. We were great today. Pereira was top drawer today and managed a tricky Hoilett well. Andi worked his backside off as usual and was for me streets above Watkins who did a very good job but didn’t give us any real threat. Nagy was also great to have back and his quality is obvious but he was equally rusty as hell. Fam back, more players getting time back from injury, I’m getting quietly excited.
  13. We need to take a small step back here. Club vs Country has been an issue for a good 20 years now, especially in the last 15. We have been to an extent fortunate enough that it hasn’t really effected us. So I do feel therefore, given that it’s a bit fresh for us there’s a slight tinge of overreaction. That said. It doesn’t stop it being frustrating and I don’t blame LJ being frustrated, we pay his wages and he’s going to Hungary when you have Kalas staying. Nagy isn’t doing anything wrong though and as others say, playing for your country is massive for a player. Annoying,
