  1. It's a bad day say the office, nothing more, nothing less. Yes there was a lot wrong but nothing terminal. We missed Korey, Reid just quite isn't good enough sadly and we need to stop trying to over complicate things. Dust down and onto Wolves.
  2. I love how optimistic they all are about this, a few years back it would have been a bigger deal but with FFP moves like this don't carry as much weight. Granted they may now have the external funds for a new stadium and better facilities, but it's not like they can buy the league by getting better players in. Ultimately clubs have to be run well and have good management teams in to succeed. If the new owner makes a balls up of that then it makes no difference, and you end up being Darlington mk.2. Be careful what you wish for.
  3. Predicted this at half time. Watch us lose two nil after such a good start without a goal! Ah well!
  4. If that's true I'm fuming as I ordered last minute!
  5. If we keep a clean sheet today I think we win. They are weaker than us st the back and I see us taking advantage of that. COYR.
  6. Think that was before, the Wolves one was Dec 2012, was only talking about it with a colleague yesterday!
  7. Last time we were four down at half time was against our next opponents, Wolves. We lost 1-4 and were relegated with them months later!
  8. Well if I'm a Championship manager, I'm playing 3 5 2 against us. We can't handle it!
  9. Dear oh dear. Was really gutted that I'm at home sick until then!
  10. Funny you say that, I've always thought that the best way to beat us is to match us up in formation!
  11. Yes Del! Probably the last person on the team you'd expect to see scoring a goal like that, but who cares!
  12. Sat in Walsall right now clearing out my other half's great aunts place, not allowed to go and I'm actually closer than I normally travel for a home game! Feeling confident today, at least a draw, COYR!
  13. Lets be honest we have been dealt a harsh hand in terms of an opening fixture list. We have been punished for some silly errors but today we have come up against a side who on paper should have beaten us no problem. The reality of the day was that we were the far better team, but were undone uncharacteristially by two set pieces. Burnley deserve credit for some very good last minute tackles and blocks and we all know that Heaton is going to save you a few points in a season. If we play to that standard week in week out we will be fine this season. Positives for me were Bobby Reid and Kodjia, lively all day causing hassle, The fact that we really looked solid in open play until the game got stretched. Also was impressed with Smith as well. Negatives were Pack, Little and Williams, inconsistency seems to be their issue, and I don't think Wes Burns was too impactful off the bench either. Chin up guys, we'll get there!
  14. I don't think loyalty has any relevence today when there are two spaces on the bench. I agree in principle but what today says to me is that in SC's eyes we have no other players capable to make a positive impact in our squad. That is a worry to me!
  15. Re: youngsters, what today says to me is that Cotts really thinks they aren't ready, that worries me in terms of the academy. If they are almost there you think they can be given a chance on the bench, but the void must be so big that Cotts would not want to put them on. Still, only a small negative on what has been a great season.
