Who do you think the thickest English Footballer of all time is?
Apparently Jonathan Woodgate was really thick

Presumably in reverse order. Between 1962-1970 Bobby Charlton was widely regarded across the globe as the greatest midfielder in the world and a gentleman. Rooney was a wunderkind and great scorer but generally regarded as low on IQ. Gascoigne had moments of brilliance, bordering on genius, but was otherwise a bigoted ****.

I didn't put them in order, I don't really have an order.

He’s 20. He’s unbelievable. He’s playing and scoring for Real Madrid. I can’t think of an England player he doesn’t have the potential to be better than - or achieve more than. We could be watching him for another 15 years.
All of which I agree with but a bit early for goat talk.

Whilst I couldn’t say whether I agree or not, who’s your top 3 greatest ever players for England?
For me. Gascoigne, Rooney and Charlton.

Bellingham is going to be our greatest ever player isn’t he!
Greatest ever player? Probably not.

Bellingham is a bad, bad man

Am I the only one who really feels for Maguire? Gets some wholly unnecessary stick at times. I'd love him to do well.
Feel the majority of the stick comes from armchair plastics on twitter. The England fans have never turned on him.
Hes getting jeered every time he goes to pass but the jokes on them, he's an excellent passer.

That seems more like it. Otherwise the Pitbulls are pushing the gas for 2nd biggest team in Bristol

Really? 3k? Are you sure
Yeah this is dubious. I've been to the ice hockey, it was good, certainly more people there than I expected, but nowhere near 3K

Is it hyperbole to say that Mark Sykes is our best player

Some pretty wild arm chair speculation on here even for this forums standards.
Feels like people are just making things up at this point.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results
Sick of this shit, the same old with Lansdown, the bloke is totally cluless in relation to his on the pitch decisions
We have people at the club, the owner, chairman and CEO (can't even recall his name he's that anonymous) who seem uncapible of basic communication.
If Pearson walks I think they may have a mutiny on their hands and rightly so.
Who is expecting different results? It's not insanity it's very deliberate

If Cashflow is the issue, then explain so. We know it’s not FFP.
But Ian, don’t forget the quote - “if we can sell a player for £25m…nest egg”
This isn’t about instalments, it is SL not wanting to use the money.
It wont be cash flow. There are banks that will lend clubs cash using future installments as security. Think its fairly common practice for clubs who want instant access to transfer cash that would normally be paid in instalments.
The money would be available if there was a desire to spend it, but I agree it seems as though there isn't.

I’m seeking some genuine clarification via this post please.
As it happens yesterday the forum was unavailable then today it’s full of rumours and conspiracies about the demise of Nigel Pearson.
These are the two primary questions I have, what has happened and why has it happened now?
I’m aware that some people have linked the failure to secure Adam Murphy and the fact that LJ is now unemployed to the rumors that NP is to be shown in the door, but I really don’t get it and would appreciate anybody helping me to do so.
In a nutshell when IMO he has done such a solid job in creating a sustainable and professional culture, cut the wage bill, recruited wisely and on a limited budget, developed young players, and so on, would we ever want to replace him with somebody else? The only explanation I have to why this would happen would be if he didn’t want to continue when his current contract expires.
Perhaps I am missing the point big time but I would really appreciate any insights into why these rumors are so rife at this particular time.
Thank you in anticipation.
All these things are true but it's an entertainment business and City are really boring.

Been to The Venue a few times if you mean the New Cross one in 2017 to 2020. Tender to be on a Saturday night.
Seemed okay but I think they have cleaned up a bit, depends when you went. I know the security was pretty rigorous there.
In respect of The Venue, to my disappointment and that of some mates, I seem to recall going there in 2021..about 2 years ago to the week maybe- post Covid and finding it still had not reopened! Remained the case last time I was in the area too.
I do mean that one but it was a long time ago and likely changed a lot. Used to specialise in tribute acts.
