His highlight vids remind me of Anthony Knockhaert who played for Pearson at Leicester.
Anyone else see that comp or have I just made that up?

The question no-one's asking, where would Antoine prefer to go?
Viera or Gary ONeill ...

Must be weird for Antoine going from a championship team to a Premier League club, whose entire stadium you could fit into the Lansdown stand. Can't feel like much of an upgrade apart from the coin.

Dead ball delivery today was shocking. Overall a hard worked point.

I don’t think he was blaming the fans at all.
I haven’t seen the South stand so empty in a long time, and like the Stoke game the atmosphere was flat from the start.
Ashton Gate is a super venue for away fans, if they travel in any numbers they can create a great atmosphere for their team filling the Atyeo.
For what it’s worth I think Nige will be dismissed and I think we will be relegated.
He does have something of a point, my wife and I have been ST holders for 13 years and we havnt been for 2 months so empty seats don't create an atmosphere.
But look inwardly Nigel and ownership, the football is shit, the match day experience is shit, we don't go to watch Bristol city much because there are much better things to do with our time and money.

Best team in the tournament
Best team at 0-0
Best team at 0-1
Not necessarily the best team at 1-1 and that has cost us
No shame to anyone but so sad we couldn't win a tournament where we were the best by far
Nothing to say about Kane either , I think it's very difficult to score two penalties in the same game especially against your club mate
Agree on that mate I think another player should have taken the second. Too much psychology on the second, that miserable woman Eni Aluko made the very point and its spot on.
But in that exact moment I wouldn't have picked anyone else on earth. Hard luck Harry, you're a good bloke - this wont hang over him like it did southgate/pearce/waddle/beckham/batty/lampard/vassell
**** when you write it down, we are so shit at penos

Agree. And even with Howe….club and international management are very very different beasts and his success at club level certainly doesn’t guarantee he’d reproduce managing a national side.
1 million percent. 2 champions league winning managers didn't even get there teams to the QF stage.
It might sound crazy, but Harry Redknapp is better suited to this game than a klopp/pep ... these players don't need coaching they need managing.
Howe will manage England at some point though, its inevitable.

If we went for a change what are the options? No way we can go foreign again, I don't think. Potter or Cooper? Meh.
Howe never leaving Newcastle. So, who?
Pearson
This is it. There are no exciting English options, don't want foreign either.
Copper absolutely not, Potter - yes but he's a young coach this is too early for him.
Howe, yes please but he's currently managing one of the richest clubs in the world, and doing a stellar job so england isn't attractive.
Then we're talking about the Parker's, Gerrard's of the world ... get to ****
Stick for me, when you look at the options the FA should be BEGGING him to stay, double down on Gareth IMHO

Well said. Didier Deschamps has managed to make France a very non-emotional team, which isn't typically French. Their efficency is quite German. We kept Mbappe quiet. They scored a great opener. It's a gutter. Score that pen and who knows.
What I like about this england team is they seem so relaxed, no crazy media stuff following them around, no front page scandals like we've seen before. Just a good honest bunch of lads with the world at their feet.
Yeah sometimes you get on the wrong end of a scoreline that arguably they don't deserve but that's sport, it's brutal.
I'm a firm beliver in southgate and the culture he's built and I really do hope he decides to have another crack

It's a real shame because we played really, really well against a fantastic opponent.
The pathway was there for a world cup final appearance. Elite sport often comes down to tiny margins and it didn't roll out way this time.
This england team are a likeable bunch with great potential, not a time to be upset, the core of this team is really young we'll be back.
I'd build around bellingham, foden, rice and Saka. Give jude the armband and go get that next euros.

And also when people make stupid comments about his recruitment and question the players he’s brought in, mostly free transfers and a lot of untried players at this level
This is all true but he could coach them better. An argument for another time though.
Obviously we have no money to spaff on playing staff and we are still operating with huge losses. Any ambitions outside of just remaining in this league need to be seriously tempered, however just "remaining" in the championship is not sustainable without the yearly bailout by SL.
The club probably needs to start looking at alternate investment if the club is to progress.

That's quite enough Bristol City for me this year.

Everyone there should just go home, the players have.

At least next season we get to have punch-ups with the Gas so every cloud

Shame this. The "behind the scenes" noise has been very minimal since he took the post. Clearly a safe pair of hands.
Good luck to him, need another Gould and not another Ashton taking the reigns.

The thing that the common fan doesn’t understand is that managers look for a performance as much as a result.
You’ll hear it from Pearson most weeks, as well as most other managers.
The theory being that, if your performance is good, then in the majority of cases the result should follow.
In this game, Hibs had 64% possession, 18 shots, 7 on target (vs Dundee Utds 1), nearly twice as many passes than their opponent, with a pass accuracy of nearly 80%.
On paper, and on the pitch, the actual performance was dominant and in most cases, this would normally end in a positive result. This time it didn’t. And that will always happen on occasion.
So to the common fan, it’s a bollox comment but to him and his players, they’ll be happy with the performance.
To be fair, he’s got them 3rd in the table after 10 games, so given that 3rd place is the best you’re ever gonna get in that league, he ain’t doing too bad so far.
Stop spitting facts @harry this is otib ... you must be new here

No worries @ExiledAjax Martin does some great work digging up the grim underbelly of football finance.
This particular deal is particularly horrible because it "looks" like greedy white men pyramid selling to very low income West Africans. Now the cat is out of the bag it's only a matter of time before Fulham cut ties.

Some generous scoring on the player ratings. DaSilva and HNM were just shocking
Klose must have done something to upset NP for the absolutely dreadful King to start over him.
Horrible watch.
