Never heard this before, certainly loads of second generation Irish City fans in KW though, I went to the local South Bristol Catholic school and there were very few Polish there (Poland being a very staunch Catholic nation)
The tv critic for the post (Mike Davey?) is/was a big City fan and was/is always at AG and umhh and that’s it, I”ll give Norton a ring tonight and ask if he can post some evidence of my claims on here tonight , all joking aside Mike Norton’s a decent guy but was never afraid to show where his allegiances lie so much so that him and Lansdown really didn’t get on
There was certainly Rovers bias while big Rovers fan Mike Norton was editor-in-chief at the EP for many years, he hated City with a passion ever since his South Bristol school days.
I can't imagine many bought their tickets and then decided they "couldn't attend"
Most of the available seats were splashed all over the Lansdown and Dolman, literally 100s popping up over the last few days, they put the capacity in the Atyeo down by a 1000 as well which was the main reason for not being a "sell out"
For a game that was supposedly a "sell out" a week ago before even hitting general sale i found it odd that so many tickets were popping up on the City website as available in the last few days, literally 100s, there were still tickets available up to 10 minutes before KO
