  1. Fair play to Vince, we need more people like him around
  2. Reading have already slashed the away allocation about 2 years ago, they’d rather have 10,00 empty seats
  3. Sky call the shots, if they wanted it played at Midnight then it will be played at Midnight
  4. If rumour is true that he will quadruple his money he would be a fool not to leave and that isn’t even taking into account the opportunity of playing in the Premier League
  5. Yes I was there sat in the Lansdown, what I saw was the big convoy arriving 20 minutes late because the police decided that it was a good idea to wind the Swansea fans up by taking an eternity to get to the ground, what I also saw from the West Stand is that some bright spark didn’t realise that it was a bad idea to let the fans out at the same time when it was obvious to anyone with half a brain that there would be trouble after the earlier shenanigans, our resident WPC has already stated that the police made mistakes, I prefer to call it incompetence. I’m not even going to get started on sen
  6. Oh dear, you have no reason to doubt what the police say? How naive
  7. If it does become a bubble it will only be down to the incompetence of the police on the day at AG last season
  8. We also desperately need a quality defensive midfielder
  9. He’s a Doctor at the RUH (or was) and always had a season ticket at AG
  10. Don’t let our resident WPC on here know, she’ll have their face plastered over the Evil Post and before you know it they’ll get a six year ban from all festivals and 8 weeks up Horfield for a first offence
  11. It’s a breath of fresh air mate, no cheating, histrionics or conning the ref, (apart from the Cameroon’s) i can’t believe how much i’ve enjoyed it
  12. Can’t believe how anyone would want to watch yet another boringly and predictable England men’s team, unbelievably & surprisingly (to me) there have been some wonderful games in the women’s World Cup, this afternoons USA/ Spain game was another cracker, cannot believe how far the women’s game has progressed since I used to ridicule it so much only a few years ago.
  13. Just been watching the half-time summary of the women’s World Cup game between Sweden and Canada on RTE, apparently Sweden are struggling to make any in-roads into the da foinal turd
  14. You are right, the football experience has changed dramatically since I started going in the early ‘70’s
  15. Wasn’t there a place down there called the milk or unigate club or am I imagining it?
  16. I know a few ‘old school’ that have given it up and I know a couple of ‘new fans’ I work with buying season tickets for the first time, it seems we are heading for a whole new fan base i’m afraid
  17. They also had a British Gas & SWEB shop. As someone already stated, the two supermarkets (Safeway & Gateway) were next to each other, Somerfield was also there for quite a few years, i’m afraid it’s quite a depressing place now unless you want to stand at the checkout in Iceland for 15 minutes behind some fat chav with their trolley load of oven chips
  18. You didn’t draw the other Sheffield team then?
  19. I thought we were given that headline after having three sent off in a midweek night game at Palace back in the late ‘70’s/early ‘80’s
  20. We know Little WAS a good player but he was in a very good team and given a lot of freedom, personally I thought that defensively he wasn’t great, I know nothing about the non-league centre-half or the Coventry players who have decided for some reason that they want to play in the worst stadium in the football league
  21. If any of these players were half decent they would not be heading to North Bristol
