  1. Smiley's (RIP) lesser known younger brother
  2. It's a bit of a leap of faith when they've not announced the entire bill.
  3. These 2 were exceptional to begin with, but drifted off a bit after about the 3rd series. Especially used to love Simon (Egg from This Life, Andrew Lincoln in real life) pegging it along through Knowle on his BMX then he turns the corner and he’s by the suspension bridge! Lots of the pub scenes in Teachers were filmed in the old Seymour’s Club in Barton Vale. I remember seeing the Wurzels play there supported by Fred Wedlock. It was bloody chaos!
  4. Yes. I think Season Ticket holders get "membership" across all City/Bears/Flyers games
  5. As "Cow" surely that was his hayday. . . (I'll get my coat)
  6. On the subject of urban secrets I really want to go and see the Suspension Bridge Vaults if i can. Underground Vaults Visit - Clifton Suspension Bridge (cliftonbridge.org.uk)
  7. Went to that. Marcus Brigstocke (sp) was in it I think. Marvellously silly.
  8. Not above my screams of anguish, I won't. . . Still, car-parking eh. #kerching
  9. I really hope these aren't the "best" acts performing. We're in for a really disappointing line-up if so!
  10. Yes - albeit you usually have to enlarge the barcode slightly for it to scan
  11. Maybe it will be like when the season tickets were late arriving the other year. Maybe I'll get my email hand delivered by Scotty Murray or Lisa Knights.
  12. I have, in the past, taken advantage of the opportunity to upgrade yes. But seeing as City were always happy to oblige, in no way can I agree with you that it constitutes "abuse" - that is a ridiculous suggestion.
  13. It's not really "abuse" is it - City are usually (or have been, in my previous experience) more than happy to upgrade as long as you pay the extra. This has been going on quite happily for years. What's the difference between upgrading in a likely sell-out v. West Ham or a dull league game v. Preston, for example? Nothing to see here.
  14. I’ve done this plenty of times in the past and it’s never been a problem.
  15. I’m now sat here singing “bubble machine” to the tune of the Wurzels “Threshing Machine”. The magic of the cup, eh.
  16. Haven't been there for a few years but we have a work meal at Aqua on Welsh Back next week. Looking forward to it as have always had decent food there, going back over 20 plus years. Anyone been there recently?
  17. Not if ETM get their way.
  18. Didn’t he also play one of the last Ashton Court Festivals?
  19. Great thread. Like most people I had shitty boots at junior/senior school but the best ones I ever had were Hummel. Absolutely things of beauty, like wearing slippers in terms of comfort but just outstanding boots.
  20. sells phones to drug dealers?
  21. TBF at the moment even the rugby players can't do well at rugby.
  22. He's well off it at the moment - cuts a lonely figure nowadays. No way do we get £5m for him. He's still learning and will hopefully improve

    Runners!

Anybody else managed to Run Every Day this year? 1550kms run including the Bristol Half, numerous park runs at Ashton Court plus runs whilst on holidays in London (Covent Garden, Fleet St, Greys Inn and along the embankment) Kernow (Holywell Bay, Porthtowan) Lanzarote (Puerto del Carmen and Matagorda) Barcelona (Sagrada Familia, Clot) Can’t even toast it as am driving early tmrw morning so it’ll have to wait til I’m in the Robins for pre-game drinks (after a run, of course . . .)
