  1. Been taking lessons from big Joe Westerman Packs down into next scrum and plays rest of game. This makes me cringe, NGL. Both warriors.
  2. Was hardly minimal press coverage, a bottle got blown at the England coach in the storm and that was all over the national news. Who said anything about no charges? I know the police were investigating the Worcester guy as even Julie commented on here about it. There is a huge different in the type of violence between the two sports as well, especially at club level. You can't honestly downplay that. I go to both City and Bears matches and I don't see how anyone who attends both could argue it's the same. See City vs Swansea or Cardiff or whoever and compare to Bristol vs Barf or Gloucester... It's the very thing some people enjoy more about soccer vs union or league. Can't have it both ways.
  3. This is just made up BS. It wasn't a meat head who punched the mother, it was a middle/aging Worcester supporter who was annoyed at her kids for waving Bristol flags in the seats in front. He was well out of line and she came over to tell him as such and got hit. I believe she also may have landed one in retaliation, certainly didn't back down anyway. The guy has been banned for life from both Sixways and Ashton Gate AFAIK. Very weird incident. I don't know if any charges were brought, better ask the OB they might know. Wasn't tribalism/rivalry just an angry, lone man and could have happened anywhere really.
  4. Can remember Pendulum - Slam... But that's about it aside from the current cover/mash up of 7 Nation Army (who's it by anyway?) My personal favourite was for Bristol Rugby running out to Killing in the Name by RATM. Would like to go back to this TBH. Currently it's The Greatest Show, which is better than 7 Nation Army.
  5. It could be a similar situation to this? https://mobile.twitter.com/nicoleej0hnson/status/1209194471553937411
  6. This, surely it's better for the players if there is an injury too. As long as they don't interfere with play, probably needs a harsher and immediate punishment if they do. That said what's the deal with LJ getting aggy with the press asking about it after the game? Nothing unfair was asked. Maybe he's feeling the pressure?
  7. I don't get why it's such a big deal, agree or disagree, how hard is it just to sing/chant something else? If someone says it's racist does it hurt to change it? Best thing would be to come up with something funny, new and original but in the case of them even "Luton's a hole, I wanna go home" requires zero effort and appropriate.
  8. Just needs a reshuffle, "a record in the new stadium" or since redevelopment or since rebuild. PR/marketing has been a mixed bag this year, hopefully it will get sorted. Can't wait for Friday, seems like an age. Gillingham FC supporting mate is coming down for the Sale game on the first, shame City are away that weekend (Barnsley, I think?) as it would have been a great to double up. He hasn't visited AG since the rebuild and is looking forward to it. Still it means we have an excuse to make another weekend of it.
  9. Is there any benefit to having them in the city? Detracts from City, Bears and Flyers who would likely benefit from them moving out of the city or going non-league permanently. Would be great for all of the above and Bristol Sport (and sport in Bristol), how about replacing them with rugby league or an American football team or speedway or something? Would have more than an air of karmic justice also.
  10. I don't know about rugger but yeah, Bears did have this on Friday last week. I don't know what it was like today as I couldn't attend, it was blinding on Friday though.
  11. Consider yourselves lucky, Bears fans are second class again (shirts being more expensive than City, etc) getting charged £10 to print off a forgotten or misplaced season ticket. Had it happen to me twice, first time I had misplaced it after boxing day game drunk (found it following week or so) second time it fell out of my pocket whilst getting phone out to take a call and nobody saw/handed it in even though I realised what had happened and returned to the spot within a couple of minutes. Not very happy to find out City games will only cost me a fiver and Bears double for what is already a questionable charge... and some people got actual season card replacements for free!
  12. Thanks for the information. This just says to me how selfish the international set up have been, so much for player welfare too. I want Nagy to not be restricted and play for his country but there's a line that's been crossed in this instance and it's already cost Nagy, City and to a lesser extent, Hungary... It could have been a lot worse too. Rossi had admitted fault you say, has he apologised to all other parties involved and made assurances it won't happen again?
  13. It's been pretty much a blackout, prior to that tiny burst of posts he hadn't been seen in months despite having a thread in which he claimed he would be available through. Everything went unanswered. He then said a new thread was going to be made, the old one was unpinned and now we have nothing at all. Last year was great on that front, this one has been very poor. Not too impressed right now. Seems Bristol Sport as a collective want to control (marketing only/yes people) rather than have genuine avenues of communications and feedback.
  14. It's okay to be wrong my man, Subliminal advertising is illegal in the UK. The boards do not constitute it nor come close to how it supposedly works.
  15. That's not the definition nor how it supposedly works "not recognized or understood by the conscious mind, but still having an influence on it" https://www.google.com/amp/s/dictionary.cambridge.org/amp/english/subliminal As you were.
