Nope, he's a good poster imo and that you, or others, don't agree with his posts is beside the point.

You are notable for the number of posts you make super, but also the brevity of the vast majority of those posts, more often than not confined to 1 line.

When challenged WSM goes out of his way to explain his views in some depth, to me that's a good poster whether you agree with him or not.

My personal opinion is that he obviously didn't like the process of how we changed Managers, and many of us felt the same, but oddly no matter whether we play well or badly the tone of posts were consistently the same

We've seen many Managers come and go before and will see many come and go in the future, to me it is time to move on, embrace  what is in front of you and hit reset in the off season

If you don't go to games, it would be odd not seeing posts next season on the game

You need to look back at your posts where you have said many times about you sit in the SS and moan about people buying cheaps kids seats and not attending!

I need to speak up here, to be fair to @W-S-M Seagull I have been under the impression that he has sat in the Lansdown for a long time

I can remember him first posting about getting wet and puddles forming on the area around where he sat, and that is months ago

As for the South Stand I can vouch for him again that he was in South Stand as he kindly sent me a couple of pictures over a number of games when we were having a private discussion about empty seats

You clearly missed the posts where I said I moved to the Lansdown during the season.

    Stop twisting my words. I didn't say I couldn't afford it. I said I wouldn't pay 700 quid.

Just for balance, the price is around the same as last year and only increased as per the rest of the ground.

Surely you expected this to be about the price?

For context which area did you sit in before you moved?

In your words, Let me make this very simple for you.

You have been one of the most negative boring posters on here, who have been shouting about had bad things have been consistantly since Nige was sacked, you were very vocal about how you will not be attending the last games this season as its so bad and will not be buying a season ticket, now its I would have bought one but can't as its not worth the money (never said that was the reason before)

As for trolling, unfortunately you keep posting sh1t which comes up on the forum, so feel the need to respond, I generally feel sad when a supporter says they are not going any more, but I was happy to make the exception in your case as the forum will be so much better without your posts

As it is an open forum we get all ends of the spectrum posting from those in utopia to those who see nothing good

It's not secret that I find the posts the same as you describe, but ultimately we all have different opinions, and the more diverse the better the discussion

Is moving season ticket seats mid-season even possible? I was under the impression you could upgrade your seats but this was restricted to twice a season only.

I believe so, but you have to pay the pro-rata difference in increase

Yea City with their 17 game unbeaten run in the league clearly don't want to win an historic 4 in a row.

How can you say Arsenal won it last night when City have 2 games in hand on them?

Can't see Arsenal winning all their remaining games, but if they do massive credit to them

Tottenham and Man Utd away are two very tricky ties ahead

I agree it's Man City's to lose now

  4. This seems dubious to me, surely the pitch would need to naturally fuse with the ground below it?

TAKEN FROM: Men's T20 World Cup: Australian cricket pitches shipped to USA - BBC Sport

The Nassau County Stadium in New York was pictured with 60 days to go until the start of the T20 World Cup on 1 June

The pitches used in the United States at this summer's men's T20 World Cup will have had quite the journey when the first ball is bowled at the tournament - being transported over 14,000 miles.

They have come in by ship from Adelaide in Australia, via Florida, as organisers run a major global cricket tournament in the USA for the very first time.

Matches will be played at bespoke venues in New York, Texas and Florida.

The opening game between USA and Canada, and the biggest game of the group stages, India versus Pakistan, will both be played in the States.

There are 16 matches being played in the US, with the other 39 being held in the West Indies.

And getting the States ready for cricket is quite the undertaking, especially when it comes to preparing cricket pitches.

"Our aim is to produce pitches that have pace and consistent bounce, on which the players can play their shots," said Adelaide Oval pitch curator Damian Hough, who has been tasked with growing pitches in Australia and transporting them to the US.

"We want entertaining cricket, but there are challenges."

Work on the 10 drop-in pitches started at the beginning of October 2023 when they were initially planted in trays. Each pitch was split into two trays, with the end aim being the production of four match-ready pitches and six practice strips.

A clay-like soil, which is also used at baseball venues in the US, is being used together with a particular grass which is suited to warmer climates and resistant to rolling and heavy use.

The trays were transported in a shipping container on a boat from Adelaide to Florida in January. They have since grown in a warm climate - New York was enduring freezing temperatures at the time - prior to being taken by road to their eventual destination.

To limit the time they are on the back of a lorry, two drivers will be employed to drive each vehicle, limiting the need to stop for breaks.

It will then take Hough and his team 12 hours to bed the pitch in at the venues, some of which are being purpose built for the tournament.

"I have mixed feelings," said Hough, who is a guest on this week's Stumped podcast.

"I'm really excited, but I'm a bit anxious at the same time - there are still unknowns.

"This is a long process. What we do know is we've given it our best shot.

"We've thoroughly thought through every possible outcome and issue along the way and we're hoping that they're going to be some good cricket pitches."

  6. Watching the Everton game it got me thinking about what Chris Wilder said yesterday

If his team or an individual player suddenly played at a higher level than before over the run in he'd want to know why they hadn't played like that before

I'm sure Sean Dyche could be asking his players that question tonight?

I've also just seen it's Man Utd 2-2 Sheffield United, Wilder must have seen it coming

"We need to take the emotion out of it"

    Now apparently we didn't listen.

Same as the players don't listen when we have lost.

    Bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.

I really want to have some belief in this guy, because I don't have any modicum of belief in anyone above him.

But all I see and hear is a blagger.

Obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinion and let's be honest this forum would be dull if we didn't, but surely you must be seeing things differently now?

By putting a limit on the amount of season tickets sold?

The only limit is the same that's a set number have to be made available

Gavin Marshall confirmed club are pushing for more season ticket sales than ever before

People are misunderstanding what he said about if we kept increasing sales, in the future we may have to limit the sales

Personally I don't like it. It's the approach the big clubs are doing now. Prioritising potd.

When we ultimately struggle again then the club will be begging fans to buy season tickets and I'll laugh at that. Need to get the balance right.

I am curious how you see the club prioritising POTD?

On the basis average crowds are the best in 40 years, ST sales are up for comparable time last season things are going in the right way

Idle curiosity;  IF Solihull make it to the EFL,who will they regard as nearest city rivals; Brum or Villa? Walsall would be their local derby

I guess it'd be like when Yeovil got promoted you have to create a rivalry

What voice do fans have these days? Fans are expected to just sit ine neat rows, applaud politely at the end and before leaving spend lots of cash on club merchandise.

    They're things contracted though

    Moving games isn't

I personally can't see it happening

It may end up being a glorified out of season tournament like we get now, but nothing more

How is any reduction in ticket sales “gone very well”? This is a football club. It’s not like buying tickets for something where there are multiple options that can impact sales. If numbers are down, it’s because people either aren’t happy or have been priced out of going. Neither is a good thing.

Long way to go of course. General sale might be booming and good luck to anyone wanting to invest. Just find that particular comment strange.

Numbers are up at the comparable point to last year though

I was always wary of predicting a massive decrease in sales because the same thing happens most seasons. People say they won't renew then, when push comes to shove and they realise the alternative, do. It is a fact though that a number have carried out their threat regardless of the current sales. The club do need to sort their comms out next season. Don't take support for granted.

But with a sell out on Saturday, our highest average attendance for over 40 years and higher season ticket sales compared to last season it clearly shows fans are backing the team and those staying away are a very small minority

To reach last years level of season ticket sales we will need NEW supporters (i.e. who have not had a ST before or for years) to sign up. I see us shifting another 1000 or so and end up up somewhere between 13-13.5K.

    This happens every season

We lose a %, but a new % come on board

All but sold out now, too late for them to put any of the Atyeo on sale I'd imagine.

Let's hope as many ST holders turn up for this one, over 22k home fans after the inconsistent season we've had is very impressive!

Will be interesting to see how many central lower Lansdown tickets become available now.

Just under 250 corporate tickets for sale
