Just posting my thoughts Phants.
In the press conferences and interviews a lot was said about our academy and how Liam had coached in academies and how this made him well suited to the job.
The post I replied to gave two examples of him speaking about academies in his first press conferences so that very much gives the impression he also said these things in the interview.
Thank you for clarifying

Yes I did see at a few of them award ceremonies ( nearly every week ) don’t think she helped herself with some of the things she wore ( looked more of a sex object than ladies football player ) yes I did notice the new keeper wasn’t it Republic of Ireland though not N Ireland , yes will be interesting to see how she reacts when the decline comes ( it happens to all ) as she seems to revel in the high society life
I had a feeling I had the wrong Irish team
Interesting on Sky comms they mentioned Lauren can relax as she knows whatever happens this season she'll be in charge next season

Not a massive follower of ladies football but I do watch it frequent enough and realise it has come a long way in a very short time and no doubt will keep growing with the right funding , have seen Mary earps a bit more than most and looked out for her due to her city connections , could your answer me this phants is she really that good and also as she is some type of pin up girl for the ladies game as she got a bit above her station ( billy big bxxxxxxs ) if you excuse the pun
I'd say it's a bit of both, she's certainly up there as the best in the world if not 'the' best
Along with a couple of the Lionesses she's definitely a recognised "name" in the wider game and single handedly no doubt put a few thousand on our attendance when we played United and definitely not just a role model for United supporters but also the whole England game
Where she let's herself down, and did it frequently today is where she so audibly and visibly keeps shouting fxxk off repeatedly when she makes a save
I know what you mean about getting a bit Billy big ***, I think part of the problem is that she is one of a very small handful that are focused on, it was worse a few months ago where she seemed to be at a different awards night / film premiere / etc every couple of days
Fortunately she still comes across as a likeable character, whereas I'd bet a male equivalent would get more stick
Going forward, what will be interesting is how she manages the fact Hannah Hampton is fast approaching her as being as good, and was recently "rested" in place of Hampton for England recently against Northern Ireland

Mary Earps has just pulled off an absolutely ridiculous save
Not only saved an effort from nowhere, but stopped the ball and clawed it away all in one movement
50:18 on the clock

Looking like Sonia Bompastor will replace Emma Hayes at Chelsea

I have been chatting to a chap that I deal with through work who is city through and through and watches many of the games u18s u 23s etc and he said that the next batch of youngsters coming through are decent but deffo sees no Scott / semenyo / Kelly / Benarous coming through , last year there were a couple of names he thought would push for first team this year however he said they don’t seem to have kicked on for some reason or another . So as a few others have said perhaps there is a little lull in what’s coming through tbf we have had a decent run
The daft thing the higher the first get the better those coming through have to be
It's possible the standard they're at would have been good enough in the past??

From that angle it's definitely a penalty, although I'm not sure the ref can tell that from her view.
That's just a precise moment frozen though
The full movement of the arm and ball meant she could award the penalty

They should have been displaying some club accreditation I would think, particularly in a family area?
All part of safeguarding?
They both had lanyards when they passed me as I thought the same at the time

He basically says what people want to hear in order to get the job. I don't like that.
Here we go again, you don't half post such vindictive nonsense.
You weren't anywhere near any interview and have no knowledge of either what was asked or even answered

It will be very instructive when the full released list is published.
There seems an acceptance that the 21s group includes very few who will make it at Championship level.
Knight-Lebel, Palmer-Houlden & possibly Tommy Backwell are highly likely to be the only ones from that group even given a chance to do so.
It's been often spoken about that there's very little coming through the U23s at present, and will explain why they've not been bursting into the first team squad
I'd be very surprised if more than one of those out of contract get kept on
By the same marker there is real quality in the current U18s set up, so expect a few more to be coming through in the coming years

I was watching UB40 at the Colston Hall that evening, I got a few odd stares during the evening when I was reacting to text updates of goals being scored

Decent away win for Taunton at Farnborough today, given themselves half a chance of staying up now.
Taunton could have done without Ben Acey getting two yellow cards in the 94th minute

I saw the BBC gave the time as 90+10 , the added time was 5 minutes so as we were so shite 30 minutes before the end of the 5 I felt safe to leave
Don't forget it's a MINIMUM of time added on, not five minutes left to play
Include their time wasting, the sub and then the delay it's about correct

Says more about those writing the comments, sadly some of our fanbase are wheeling out the stone age comments around social media too

Football is regressing as a whole.
There is no "common sense" in that kind of decision
To the letter of the law, is it a penalty? Yes...
When you see it back I've a feeling you'll think differently
Huddersfield got exactly what they deserved

Twine is worth every penny anything 4mil or under sign.
Based on what?
He's been injured for the majority of his loan spell and has rarely had an impact during his minutes on the pitch

After not having attended a game since Swansea for my own sanity, performances and results have picked up. Some on here and social media believing Manning is in fact the second coming. So against my best judgement, I decided to have another look myself.
Wow, that was dire! It confirmed everything we already knew. This new and improved Manningball was a flash in the pan. That my friends is the football you have to look forward to next season, which will come as no surprise to many.
Good luck all for next season. I shall look forward to a return to the gate in a year or two.
Why so dramatic?
Nobody cares if you are here next season or not.. But hey everyone look at me

So….why the MASS exodus of fans (a) when Huddersfield scored (b) on 85 mins?? I hate it when fans leave early at the best of times but that was embarrassing today. We have been on a good run of late and I know things are petering out to another season of mid-tableness but hey…fair enough if we’re losing 3-0 or similar! I’d like to know how many City fans saw Nahki’s penalty scored as we fought regardless of performance to get on level terms.
Perhaps watch a few more games and you will see it's a normal reaction from every fanbase around the world
