  1. Looking at the way we’re playing today it wouldn’t actually be that fun being a Leicester fan in this league. Life draining football. Not that I give a shit if it gets a return
  2. Error message saying traffic is too high now. Amateur
  3. A defeat was never going to ruin my Saturday today, and that was a nice feeling, but that Vyner news is a bitch. “Hopes he won’t be out too long” and damage to the knee doesn’t sound great
  4. Ouch. That’s a bad one. Dickie a capable replacement but we could be hurt in behind A LOT today.
  5. I don’t think they’ll embarrass us, but I just can’t see us having much luck in attack. They are solid. A flattering 3-0 to Leicester. Sorry BUT, this squad do seem the type to continually defy expectations. COYR nonetheless
  6. One of boxing’s ‘good guys’, Christ…
  7. Is it still just a car park, or have they turned it into a tourist attraction? Is there a shrine of some sort or will there just be a Ford Ka over the top of it?
  8. Would be a great statement and show of support if we could do something like this during a game. As it is he doesn’t even have a song
  9. Near the top of a long list of reasons why I hope we never play them again… the Gas at modern AG, no thanks
  10. It’s certainly food for thought.
  11. A robustly articulate man. Not a good talker, a good orator. Uses worldly experience to speak on football, himself and life. LJ, a good talker, spoke like a man who carried a private encyclopaedia of football. Often he used bombast to dance around the uneasy questions, and by the time he had finished he’d of bored or confused you to submission. Ashton, a good spinner, used smarm and sleaze to wriggle his way through rare public critique. Nige, a good orator, speaks honestly, openly, and in terms the fan - whoever they are - will understand. He keeps your attention firm until the end, going in depth for the topics that matter and staying short and sharp for the ones that don’t. Nige, the type of guy to share a whiskey with around a crackling Mendip fire, talking existence. Chuck in the new Spurs boss, what a night. Seriously now, where’s that contract?
  12. I suppose, ultimately, that means there will be issues arising from whatever placement we go for. So we’ve all just got to get behind the team as much as we can from our various pockets. It’s (probably) as simple as that.
  13. Did I really just see a Leicester fan saying they’d ‘take a draw’, that is absolutely mental
  14. Be careful what you wish for: Exhibit A.
  15. I think the defining factor for me is we look another year wiser, both in personnel and set up. When those players are back there will be other injuries, you’d think, so we can’t imagine we’ll have ever really have a fully fit squad to pick from. Sounds odd - and maybe not relevant to this squad - but honestly, a fully fit squad with a plethora of options often seems to cause more issues than it solves here. We’ve got a great rhythm right now.
  16. Yep. When you see him down the middle in a three it explains his performances out wide. That’s not him.
  17. Unchanged line up was a great call. Paid off to start full strength and make the tweaks early rather than going with a slightly weakened starting eleven. Cornick down the middle and off the bench looks like exactly the type of thing people were saying we needed to go and sign on loan. Also quite liked TGH not just walking back into RB, would have been a direct message to Tanner that he is now nothing but back up. TGH looked good as an option in midfield too, a suitable enough replacement for Knight when he tires or should he succumb to injury. We’ve had good starts to both of Nige’a full seasons so I’m not getting carried away yet, but promising signs. A balanced side with pace, skill, reasonable toughness and with a cleverness to it. Game management tonight was excellent.
  18. Is the ref about to find himself in the evo-stik on Saturday? Sure Yeboah had been booked
  19. I’m usually a massive flapper but I think we are in a great position. We will have space to score more as they come at us. We’ve got options tonight too. It would be a little concerning not to win it from here.
  20. They want a derby then let’s give em a ******* derby. Into them from the start, set the pace, press hard, get in behind, Cornick chaos, TGH terror, send them for an early pasty. Come on City
  21. They could have, of course. And let me be clear, the communication policy from the club at the moment is an absolute breeding ground for speculation. I blame no one for doing so. I just think very often the truth is a lot tamer or lamer than we like to imagine. If anything, theorising that the Lansdowns are playing some kind of semi-evil chess is probably giving them too much credit. I think most of the time they are just a bit crap. But there’s a whole host of reasons why that doesn’t necessarily mean I want them gone.
