  1. Went to Everton v Liverpool women at Goodison today as my daughter wanted to see the ground before it goes. Less than 10k there which did surprise me, and also a reminder of a huge missed opportunity this season has been for City. I think there were at least 3 attendances bigger than that for our women at the Gate this season. Fair play to the 5,000 plus who turned up at the Gate today for yet another inevitable defeat

  2. Crikey, I never realised DJ Johnie Walker was a big Rovers fan. Every day’s a learning day.

Apparently he somehow managed to squeeze into the packed away end at Fleetwood in the week.

He’ll be sharing his experiences with the nation at the weekend with a specially recorded edition of Sounds of the Seventy

I feel a 3rd episode of Silent Witness in the making here.....

Due to the size of the ‘crowed’ and the performance/atmosphere at their last couple of home matches they’ve recorded some new episodes of Silent Sh!tness

  4. I knew Klopp was gonna call it a day as soon as his and everyone else’s favouritist team with the bestest fans got knocked out in the 3rd round replay.

We all know that all Liverpool fans love da Gas and hate da shit but would have been nice to get that usual guaranteed confirmation today.

Half the country are now at a loose end this afternoon.

Did they come up short? I'm very surprised- it certainly looked more than 5/4 full.

Come on Miah, I’ve corrected this one for you on this occasion but please be more careful when posting Rovers attendance figures.

That’s not quite how it works Weepywall. The attendance will of course be claimed as over 10,000 but the correct process with their attendances is to start with the actual much lower attendance and gradually increase it over a number of posts until the fictional figure is arrived at and made into a ‘fact’

They didn't drink their milk, they're not going to be good enough to play Liverpool, they're only good enough to play Accrington Stanley.

Have you seen their results against Accrington Stanley? I’m not sure they are good enough to play them.

Glad they were identified. Hope an example is made of them. I am sure the hugs majority of Millwall fans will be disgusted with them. I heard someone at Leicester away trying to get a chant going about it and someone at Cardiff away trying to get a Sala chant going.  Both times when we were losing. I ALMOST feel sorry for people who carry that much hate.

  9. I thought there was some safe standing in the upper tier? We chose lower tier as apparently upper tier is well away from the action.

I ‘m sure from seeing West Ham games on TV all the away fans stand anyway?

Whilst I much prefer to stand at away games I’m the same as @LondonBristolian and try to be respectful of those behind me.  It will really depend on how the West Ham stewards apply the rules

Presumably they won't mention the fact that we get charged full price in the league, whereas the gas have been charged just £10 for today's game.

We also only get 10% of capacity in the league v 15% in the FA Cup.

I’m sure they WILL mention that there are more City fans going at an away 2pm Sunday kick off in London than they get for home matches

  11. I don’t blame so many of your fans for staying away at £35 a ticket Piccolo. That’s a shocking price and I wouldn’t pay it going the other way out of principle. Disappointed at City for charging that much.

Was showing some of your fans back to Temple Meads station last season. Could tell they were on edge. Must be a right ballache walking round with a target on your back at every away match you go to.

Weirdly, up until Covid, Rovers 60/60 draw was extremely popular and was nearly always a 100K prize.

Then they stopped taking cash and a few sellers left and now it's around £30K

    Hope you recover well Miah,

There were a few inaccuracies in your earlier post. Hope you didn’t mind me correcting it for you

Last season was so *dreadful I can’t bear to go this season, it being an evening game doesn’t help.

Last season my daughter said it was such a bad performance she never wanted to go there again.

About 30 seconds later she added ‘Unless we’re still in the same Division as them next season’

Needless to say she’s talked me into going again this season 🙄

    On their forum...

Just listened to our esteemed leader on the radio.
Is there any need for the manager of the team and as it stands the only person at the club who talks to be needlessly rude about another manager?
You’d not get away with this in any other walk of life, it’s a dreadful look and isn’t doing anyone any favours.

Gert Teds on their forum again?

Its still 4k more than the Rovers L1 team.

Couldn't give a toss who they're playing, the point is the Womens team can get that sort of attendance over their mens team.

True, BUT there was no ballon fiesta or harbour festival tonight. We wouldn’t have got anywhere near their 7k level if there had been.

The M5/M42/M6 must have been gridlocked yesterday. :noexp:

To be fair to Rovers fans Burton only realised very late that Rovers have a massive away following so made a late call to allow pay on the day, or at least that’s what someone on Gaschat said.

I’m sure we sold out well before it could go to pay on the day at Burton both times when we played there a few seasons back, although Rovers have much better away support.

I once again ask for us to do a minute silence or applause once a year like many clubs do to honour those that have passed in the previous 12 months.

Their pictures can be shown on the big screens & we can all pay our respects properly.

Here’s an example of how Millwall do it.

    https://www.millwallfc.co.uk/news/2023/february/02/memorial-day-at-the-den-this-saturday/

I get that random world events aren’t covered by the above, but it would stop the minutes applause requests we get almost every week recently where half the people don’t know who they’re applauding anyway.

Stoke did it very well too. So much better and in my opinion more meaningful.

My daughter said she’ll ask for a minute’s applause when I pass just because she knows it winds me up.
