  1. I'd be surprised. He made a heavy challenge early in the first half and I saw him hobble for a bit. I turned to the guy next to me and said he wouldn't be out for the second half. Sadly he never even made it that far! And I also don't speculate on "wild unsubstantiated rumours" just plucked out of a hat.
  2. Jesus Christ you're a tedious arsehat.
  3. Yes of course. 20 odd confirmed dead and dozens still unacounted for. If after a week people were making jokes about Salas and his pilot, there would have been outrage. I just don't see the difference, sorry. I'm not overly sensitive as a person, but people's fathers, mothers, wives, gf's sons and daughters etc are dead or still missing. Anyway I'll not say anymore about the subject, I think I made my point, however pointless most seemed to find it on here.
  4. You're all heart arent you? Just think a little decorum was apt. Maybe I'm just a little old school.
  5. No but he used it as the basis of a "joke". If you can't see that's crass, I'm afraid the issue is yours, not mine.
  6. With the greatest respect people died in that hurricane. Tact obviously not your forte.
  7. I'm not sure.................but it's making my sphincter tighten at the thought of it!
  8. If EN has decided he needs more time and not turned up for a medical, then for me that would be that. He's had more than enough time to think about this move. Time to move on to our other targets. I'd be very surprised if we haven't got a striker we're all happy with by this time tomorrow.
  9. Regarding a new stadium for the Gas. We all know how this goes, and how it ends. As predicted on here a few years back - not many weeks after the takeover by the "Fake Sheik" that Rovers still didn't have a chamber pot to sh!t in, even though those deluded, self righteous, footballing pompas arses shot us down. They are so far up their own backsides - so special (in their own minds) that they just can't believe that some complete stranger isn't going to walk in, fall in love with the amazing, unique " best fans in da world", and spunk 100million or so sporting them out. If it's not a VERY rich, local fan, it ain't gonna happen! Even a big brother contestant probably has the IQ to see that's unlikely. We all know this is a property deal that went belly up. As for this new foray into real estate; it's not free, it can't be stolen and it can't be squatted on - so the only conclusion is that it's just another fantasy. Nice to see them getting excited just to be let down again though - Haha!! So to recap: Plans get drawn up and released to local press Gas fans cream their pants Gas fans tell us how their overtaking us Gas fans gloat how much better their new "charismatic" ground is than our "Lego build" "Trashton" The Gas ground share with some local club they haven't cheesed off previously (best of luck with that!) Memorial Ground gets sold Wally "gets guzzumped" on fruit market site Wally puts rovers into admin Gas go pop We all know it's going to end in tears for them. Every one but them can see it's just a smokescreen to buy time. Happy days
  10. We HAVE built on last season. Our first 11 ALL belong to us. KP will be much better this year I'm sure for being our player and putting down roots. I'd also be VERY surprised if there are no more incoming in the comming days. To strengthen more, we first had to guarantee funds - Ala Webster because of FFP. Enjoy the ride my friend, sometimes the journey can be better than the destination!
  11. Absolutely Major. We are looking better year on year, and I've got to be honest in that, even though we've not got to the Premier League as yet (if ever!) I'm really enjoying the ride. To see so many of our players, both home grown or brought in and nurtured here doing so well, is a real credit to our club. Long may it continue!
  12. Really can't agree with your opinion. If football was so simple the team with the best players/biggest budget would win their respective leagues each season. Managers make a difference because there is a plethora of ways to attack, defend and control a game - and game passages. Just like chess, football has simple rules, but mastering it is another matter!
  13. Had this happen to me last year. Season card came the week after the start of the season. As I rang on the Friday morning, a match day ticket was ready and waitng for me. Still a pain though. Although I've had worse happen to me
