  1. Great work! Having two young children, and having to join them playing MC I can really appreciate the effort you must have went to. For those who don't know; yes, Minecraft is a game, but it has various gameplay modes. The two main ones are 'Creative' and 'Survival'. In survival mode you mine for resources and build, also having to kill various things that will try and kill you - if your out and about. In Creative mode, you have unlimited resources to build all sorts of things; like Ashton Gate! Sorry, I seem to know waaaay to much about this for a middle aged man! Haha My kids used to watch a youtuber named 'Stampy', amazing some of the things he did too. Well done again
  2. What!?! Are you saying I've got to carry a pack of tissues around with me now I'm a grown up? Maybe I'll just carry a reusable, snot filled hanky stuffed up my sleeve, like my Granny!!
  3. Have you seen many of Fordy's posts? Absolutely any excuse to bash LJ, no matter how small...very tedious. I don't believe he meant that Leeds just "looked" better than us, I believe he meant that to him, the world, and all in between, he could 'see' they were better than us. Context. As I have said previously. I've nothing against LJ, but don't think he's the messiah either (maybe just a very naughty boy ) But you are of course entitled to your opinion
  4. Glad I'm not the only one who finds his posts very tedious and repetative at times. I like a lot of what LJ does...and on the other hand I don't like a lot of what he does! Haha But what I do like to try to do is; praise when something is right, as well as moan a bit when something's not right. On this occasion I can see what he was trying to do. Right or not is a matter of opinion and certainly shouldn't provoke the reaction from Fordy that it did. Any excuse eh?
  5. I think people get confused by 'better than us' vs 'more pleasing on the eye' Leeds are deffo more pleasing on the eye than most teams, but as they say, after 2/3rds of a season 'the table doesn't lie' Thought we looked more expansive last night though, and 'more pleasing on the eye'
  6. Davefevs team looks workable. Certainly no worse than some of the first 11's I've seen at times! I would, however, be slightly dubious that even LJ might start with 3 player's that have little or no game time in recent weeks/months (Benkovic, Kalas and Henriksen)...but then again.............
  7. Am I not right in thinking that someone, on this forum, bumped into Adam somewhere recently (maybe a matchday or something?) And Adam told him that he wasn't ousted as rumoured, but felt he just needed a new challenge, and that it was 100% his decision? I maybe wrong mind
  8. Incredible gesture! Absolute credit to his family
  9. Yeh, ok, we get it.......your a fan. Although I have no axe to grind with you or 'Colin' (sic), I'm really not sure why you have to incessantly keep banging the NW drum. It takes alot away from the point your making, the over egging. Just for disclosure, I've never found myself wanting him here as HC/Manager; just personal preference I guess, but respect your opinion. Just don't keep relentlessly banging on about it ay?
  10. Bravo Sir, nice ditty! Made I chuckle.
  11. I'm not against Eliasson playing; far from it. But it has to work. Our head coach and his team need to earn their corn and get it right. I too am not interested in turgid, "safe" football to get results, but what I'm saying is, is for whatever reason when Eliasson plays, after a couple of games he's effectively marked out if the game, and with it all of our "flair" play disappears. As has been said there's no reason we can't accommodate him, not sure why we can't tbh, but there it is, it's a fact we don't seem to play well for more than a game or two with him in the side. Hope we find a way, wide men an attacking football has always been the "Bristol City way".
  12. With respect it's not purely about statistics. Can't you see with you own eyes the drawbacks of using Eliasson? To be straight, I like Eliasson and what he brings, but I struggle, as Dave Fevs does to be sure if the pros CONSISTANTLY outweigh the cons with our current playing staff/system. And to be fair the stats just back that up. I've thought for months now, if we play Eliasson it has to be a 4231 system, with lots of movement and inter -changing upfront to negate him just being marked out of the game. This system IMHO would also reduced the negative impact of his poor defensive reading of the game when we lose possession. The effort is there defensively with him, he just doesnt appear "savvy" enough at present to me when possession is turned over.
  13. I really couldn't agree more with this post! I just don't understand how we have gone from a successful, very pleasing on the eye, effective, well drilled outfit, to one that is turgid, lacking focus or identity and lackluster. As you state, we just needed a few tweaks, a few in's and outs to steadily progress. Instead we've had wholesale change in not only personal, but style of play......and not for the better! Absolutely baffles me!
