  1. With a fine young crop of quality players coming through like Conway and Scott, we have what Alan Dicks spent years building cheaply, a team with real promise.

So my plea is simple, please don't sell Semenyo. Do all that you can to keep him and certainly don't entertain bids at 12M

He is the one player who gets us fans out of our seat. He is the entertainment we seek. He is where the Joy is.

Players with his raw power and touch come along so rarely at our club, we must cherish this one and try to build a premiership challenge with him.

He creates space for others, he makes defenders uncertain and he has learnt how to shoot for the corners of the goal.

    please don't let him go

  2. Time surely for Mr Scudamore to step forward and open up his address book. if anyone can raise big bucks for city it should be him.

I would hope that the Lansdowns would stay in any new ownership structure, like crystal palace for example. but its not fair to keep asking him to put his hand in his pocket anymore, nor is it likely; he might be down to his last billion

  3. Bored of watching our beloved Bristol City unable to stitch back to back wins together, enjoy chaotic football, like having a heart condition?

Then there is only one man for us. If anyone could get our misfiring midfield going it's Bielsa

Could you ever see it happening, will he return to England? Probably no to both, but getting us playing wildly exciting footie and into the premiership

then let's have some of that.

Of course it will never happen, so we will stick to our box entries and injury lists and on/off love in with Cheers Nige

but just for a moment imagine us supporting the most exciting team in football.

  4. I saw Taylor Moore early on in his city career playing like Bobby Moore at Fulham in a cup tie, and he looked great until he trod on the ball and gave away a penalty.

Always a mistake in him, but still think he is a better player then Vyner who seems to have several mistakes in him

  5. Given our lack of aerial 'beef' since Flint and Baker fell out of our defence's heading skills team

we haven't had a dominant talisman in the air, in spite of Kalas's best endeavours.

Ignoring the scale of the loss to Fulham could this force a rethink about Cundy as an out and out ball winner and all round beast at crosses?

Have any of us seen enough of him on loan to assess his true potential? It seems unlikely we will be buying anyone new this window.

While hoping that Semenyo's promise is finally turning into gold, we may look back on this last game with happy memories and see the dawn of some sunny uplands

  6. How far do we feel we might ever go if we have a real climb up the table? champions league?

After 53 years of following city through thin and thin (punctuated by fleeting dances with sexy football eg 2016)

I really don't know what more we can expect.

Went as a neutral with some pals to see Leeds at Tottenham and was blown away by the ground and atmosphere. The game wasn't great but the stand behind one of the goals made Borussia Dortmund's stands look small; like a colosseum with steeply raked seating. It is light years beyond the new Ashton Gate, (but they are deeply in debt).

Now I am a big SL fan, given the integrity he has shown and the statesman like qualities you want in an owner. Goodness knows he has tried to support us more than any other fan, albeit some of his selections of head coach/manager have been weird.

This city could support 40k crowds if the football was half decent. Will we ever get to the promised land, will we all be on Zimmer frames when we do?

  7. Please tell me during the international break that you have used your time wisely to focus on these three subjects

1 How to close out any game from the 86 to 96th minute: with new tactics, role player exercises, slow substitutions and any new brilliant idea you can muster

2 Set pieces and how to score from them

3 Keeping the ball and resting with it, no more hot potato give it to the opposition stuff please

Oh and it goes without saying fire up JD and KP by finding new positions for them to play in, or ship them out

and line up loans for a couple of clever strikers

Good man, you can do it

  8. my point is that we keep repeating the current selections and formations then go dozing off in the last 20 minutes.

you have to try something different . I am not being serious about Baker other than to use him at the end of the game, cos he can't last a full 95

someone else has to play at 9 with their back to the goal in order to hold the ball up. They don't have to be that big, Matty Taylor was good at this for us when picked, try Bakinson at centre forward, or at least try something new

bobby reid as a striker was an accident and look how well that turned out

  9. Anything will do but give us something to believe in.

    Some positional changes that transform say COD into a left back and JD into a striker;

Or Baker as a left winger for his customary twenty minutes but at the end of the game not the start. However mad the changes you can't keep dishing up formations that keep failing

In case you hadn't noticed your honeymoon is over and you have to give the fans some sign of progress because the Leicester old boys reunion ain't cutting it.

There is so much goodwill towards you from a very loyal (and passive) fan base but.........no sign of a bounce, tactical inspiration, better passing, improved confidence will turn the fans against you. Please pull some rabbits out of your hat and get lucky

We will stick with you but give us a sign that you can get a better tune out of 'your' team

    good luck

  10. They have some proper firepower at WBA what with Snodgrass and Hugill but its Grant who takes my eye

Scored against us for Huddersfield I think before his big money move to the Baggies; just the type of quicksilver player we should have tried to sign

Keep him quiet today, score 3 ourselves and we might hold out for a draw

Who has caught your attention amongst our opponents?

  11. Dear Club,

Just in case we fluff our lines again tonight

and Nige doesn't get a tune out of our motley crew can I please swap my home season ticket for an away version.

Can't stand watching us being out played at home (with Fulham being one of the few 'give it a go' exceptions)

we all seem to be trusting in Nige, but his performance since taking over at home is wretched

  12. Two games at Bradford stand out, the 1-0 cup run 'battle of the Alamo'

and then the 6-0 romp to seal our promotion in 2015 under Cotts.

There weren't many of us there that night but we were so relentless and powerful.

We gave them an absolute battering and partied long into the night knowing that we were going up.

superb champagne football at its very best

  13. We all know about John Terry and his moral compass but who, apart form Jacki, had an eye for the ladies at our club?

Went to the Gerry Gow testimonial and my misses took one look at Jacki, all suited and booted, and wouldn't stop talking to him.

Not taken her to a game since.

Just to fill in the gaps.

In the Derby case both parties have the right to appeal any decision of the IDC to the LAP.  The LAP decision is final in all respects.

The problems with the LAP determining the sanction in respect of the 'amortisation' decision are three fold:

    1. Firstly the LAP had no power to impose a penalty in respect of the 'misleading' decision as the actual decision was not before it.  Derby admitted this and the IDC confirmed that decision and it was not under appeal.  So you could have two different panels imposing different penalties in different ways.
    2. A sanction decision by the LAP cannot be appealed.
    3. The 'elephant in the room' being that if the decision of LAP means that Derby fail FFP loss rules then that is the real offence.  In that case that sanction, being a potentially very significant points deduction will become the real sanction and the other two charges will become aggravating factors in arriving at that sanction.

1 &2 are really sensible reasons from a natural justice perspective and third simply reflects the reality of the position.

All in all painful - but they will get there.

This reads like the script from Line of Duty, over and out AC12.

Lets back to comparing notes about wine

Wow that's a new name... I shall need to look that up. ?

Arhhh yess... St Julien.... And good ratings on Vivino but a little pricey. Get what you pay for of course. I shall look out for it next next time I venture to a big supermarche. Appreciate the tip.

or try Chateau Palmer if you want to keep the football names in the west country

Far too broad a generalisation. The country that gives us some of the best beef cattle in the world also happens to grow some of the best Malbec. Both are like hand and glove and you will find few restaurants of Argentine origin suggesting a somewhat light weight cab sauv over a far more full bodied Malbec.

Of course it's all about personal preference as well.

Prefer a Leoville-Barton myself, no relation to Joey
