Ryan Lowe would be my choice.

Has a style of football (much like Russell Martin who is earning plaudits with Swansea).

Has worked wonders in his short time as a manager, promotions with both Bury and Plymouth on minimal budget, whilst taking Plymouth to 2nd place in League 1.

Pep Guardiola couldnt turn this bunch of Oxygen thieves around!!

Okay, let’s be honest, we got stuffed today and had we lost 5 nil, it would have been appropriate. That said they are pretty much a Premiership side and started this season with a £20 odd million parachute payment. It’s disappointing as for whatever reason, there was no press, commitment or apparent effort from some but there we go, it happens.

I would however comment that we are most certainly going the right way - just 4 losses in 12 games this season, a minus 1 goal difference, just 4 points off the play offs? Is NP not what we have been asking for for a long time, so can we not just get behind his honest approach and give him the three seasons he suggested he needs to turn us around?

I never bet against City but, if I did, today would have been the day, just about everything was up against us, and B’Muff did really well, fair play to them. Their quality in depth is incredible to be fair and I have no doubt they will go up this season.

I am glad we have Tuesday to come when we go again. Okay today was always going to be hard but, let’s be honest we will have some much easier games to come, the home win will come.

Finally, how wonderful to see all fans join together for the minutes applause in the 7th minute - let’s hope the young lad Brooks responds well to treatment and is given the all clear in the near future, well done to all who quite rightly joined in, so nice to see and hear!

    "Much easier games" ??

Anyway ......panic over ..... there’s news on the new tent .....sorry temporary new Stand

If this is true ........ (Posted on Sagshat)

The new stand arrived, however the rear of the stand clashed with the pastie hut and the entrance clashed with the toilets. In short it wasn’t measured up properly and was sent back. Needs amending now should be back in a few weeks.

Which pub were you in mate? Tbf I've been taking my kids in pubs on the Gloucester Road in their City kits for years and never had a whiff of confrontation from any gas, just some good natured piss taking.

Disgusting way to treat you and your kid though, I hope he's not too shaken up.

Golden lion mate it wasnt a pleasent experience, the guys were clearly pissed up but no excuse, my lad was upset.

They can have no excuse whatsoever mate - it’s pathetic - an 8 year old?! What the **** are they trying to prove?! I’m so sorry you had to go through this crap experience....

Hands on heart would any city fan be offended by a kid in a rovers shirt? Regardless of where you saw them, city heartlands bedminster, knowle Hartcliffe etc!! Ok take the mickey, but threaten violence??

I was in the Essex Arms in Kingswood many moons ago with a mate (a Pompey fan) and his girlfriend, now wife - she was punched for being a City fan when some male neanderthal overheard our conversation on football....like you said, would never tar them all with the same brush but that was a dreadful evening...to punch a girl instead of two blokes was pathetic and distressing...and it wouldn’t have been right to punch a bloke...

Mate i dont want to go into details and this isnt personal against the Gas but these cretins today took it to a new level. How can you react to an 8 year old kid wearing a shirt Ffs??

  9. Took my 8 year old son for the first time today to watch the Glos T20 blast game against Surrey this afternoon, great win and a nice afternoon out. Went for a quiet pint after the game in an unnamed boozer on Gloucester road (lad wearing city shirt) and without going into detail was told by a group of Gasheads to cover the lad up or get a hiding!!  Who the **** acts like that? Not tarring them all with the same brush but FFS!! Ruined a great day out..

In the light of the earthquake today combined the the heartbreaking scenes of Bristol Rovers fans trapped in a tiny confined space with only a single 48" TV screen to keep them in touch with reality, Oxfam has announced it will deploy its resources to the Memorial Ground to fck some sense into them.

And in light of the result Oxfam have also despatched their entire reserve stocks of Carling.
